The Marriage Function

Kazuma decided to go to Darkness's wedding. He rented a coat and suit from a store and bought a gift for Darkness. While he was shopping, he saw an interesting mask in one of the shops. He couldn't take his eyes off it. He went near it and was looking at it. The shopkeeper asked him whether he wanted it. Kazuma asked for its price. After giving him the cost of the mask, he took the mask with him. He packed everything in a bag and set out on his journey to Darkness's house, not far from the village.

It was a fine afternoon. Upon arriving at her home, he discovered that Darkness is rich. Her mansion was quite big and luxurious. The whole mansion was decorated with flowers. There were so many people. He showed his invitation card to the servants in front. They welcomed him to the house. Then he saw Darkness chatting with other girls inside the house. Darkness was wearing a noble and beautiful dress. She saw him and came to greet him. She was happy to see Kazuma come for her wedding. She welcomed him. Kazuma handed over the gift he brought for her. She was happy, and she thanked him for the gift. She then asked one of her servants to show him his room. Then Kazuma went to his room.

Kazuma's room was spacious, and he lay on the bed for some time. Then he decided to take a bath. Just then, through the window, he saw Kyouya and others coming. He thought that his peace was ruined. He let out a sign and went to take a shower. After the bath, Kazuma slept until the evening. Then a servant woke him up. She informed him that there would be a banquet that night and asked him to be ready for it. Kazuma agreed with her. Kazuma stayed in his room until it was time. When the time arrived, he dressed himself and went to attend the feast. At the banquet, Darkness and Walter welcomed everyone and inaugurated the feast.

During the banquet, Kazuma met Chris. Chris invited him to eat with her. So Kazuma was drinking some wine, and Chris was eating a lot. Just then,

Kyouya, with a smile "Yo, Kazuma, how are you doing? It's been a while since we saw each other."

Kazuma "Oh, Kyouya, I am fine. What about you?"

Kyouya "Oh, life is so good in this world. It feels like everything was prepared for me."

Kazuma with a lazy voice "Yeah. Yeah."

Kyouya "By the way, where is your partner?"

Kazuma: "Partner???"

Kyouya "Oh, I am sorry. You don't have one, right??"

Kazuma remained silent. He clearly knew that Kyouya was trying to mock him. Just then, Megumin arrived. She was wearing a pretty black dress. She really looks beautiful in them.

Kyouya: '"Oh, Megumin, you really look beautiful in that dress."

Megumin with a red face "Ahmm.. Thank you, Kyouya. You look beautiful too."

Both of them intentionally acted lovely and well in front of Kazuma. They wanted to make him feel jealous. But Kazuma decided to have another cup of wine. He didn't even comment on her dress. He just ignored them.

Kyouya "It seems like you have been ignored by someone, Megumin."

Megumin "It's better to ignore me rather than look at me with jealousy. What do you think, Kyouya-sama?"

Kyouya "Yeah, you are right, Megumin. We should really avoid people like that."

Darkness saw them talking. She noticed that Kazuma was silent, even after Megumin insulted him. She quickly decided to change the situation.

Darkness "Hello guys, is the food to your liking?"

Kyouya "Oh, Lady Lalatina, the food you prepared for us was great."

Darkness noticed Megumin. "Yo Megumin, you look really good in that, you know."

Megumin "Oh, the same goes for you too."

Darkness blushing. Her face is red.

Darkness "So, Kazuma, why are you so silent?"

Kazuma "Oh, I was just enjoying this cup of wine."

Darkness "So how is it? Do you like it?"

Kazuma: "Perfect..."

Then suddenly, it was time to dance. The band group started the music.

Kyouya sat on one leg and reached out his hand to Megumin. "May I have this dance, Megumin?"

Megumin: "With pleasure, Kyouya-sama."

Darkness was surprised that Megumin could dance.

Kazuma "Yo, Darkness, the dance has already started. You should not make him wait."

Darkness "Ohh, right. Then... see you; please enjoy the feast to your heart's content."

Kazuma said with a reassuring smile, "Sure."

Kazuma knew exactly why they were doing this. They simply wanted to show off before him and make him feel jealous. Then they started dancing with everyone else. Their dance was very nice and smooth. Kazuma just pulled himself back and was leaning on a wall. He was just looking at both of them. Kyouya and Megumin show more chemistry in their dance. Occasionally, they peeked at Kazuma to check the look on his face. Suddenly, the music becomes so smooth. Everyone began to focus on their dance. They also focus on their steps as well. They were dancing very smoothly. Suddenly, Megumin's face became red.

Megumin: "Kyouya, I want to stop."

Kyouya is still dancing. "What happened? We are just about to get to the good part."

Megumin's face became even more red. "Please, it's an emergency. I want to use the washroom."

Kyouya "Okay, I understand."

Without making others notice, they stopped dancing. Megumin left the place without anyone noticing. She walked quickly to her room. After reaching her room, she closed the door and bolted it. Then she lifted her dress. She was shocked to see that her pants were gone. She was sure that she wore a black panty before going to the banquet. She was so embarrassed now, and she even screamed. Her door was closed, so no one heard the scream. Megumin didn't come back to the banquet.

Kyouya was wondering what had happened. After the banquet was over, Kyouya went to Megumin's room and asked her whether she was okay. She was too embarrassed to open the door. She told him that she was alright and demanded to rest until morning. Kyouya was forced to move out. Kyouya walked back to his room. On the way, he met Clemo and Fio. They were really jealous that they couldn't dance with him and were so upset about it. He had a hard time making them understand. They were mad at him. They left him and went back to their rooms.

Kyouya was hoping to make a move on Megumin, but he failed. And on top of that, he made Clemo and Fio angry as well. He thought that he was having a bad day. Before going to sleep, he checks his sword. It was still there. But the next morning, when he woke up, he found that his cursed sword was missing. He panicked a lot. He started to search everywhere, but he couldn't find it anywhere. He screamed.

In the morning,

The group prepared for Darkness' wedding. They all dressed up, and Kazuma arrived at the church just before the ceremony started. Walter and his parents arrived in a chariot, and everyone looked beautiful. Kyouya and his party didn't attend the wedding. Everyone wondered what had happened to them. Kyouya and his team were busy searching for the sword. Kyouya asked everyone around him about his sword. But none of them saw them. He got depressed. Megumin and others are trying to help as well.

During the wedding ceremony, the priest asked Walter if he wanted to marry Lalatina. Walter responded with a resounding "yes," and Lalatina echoed his answer when she was asked the same question. The couple was overjoyed to be married, and Kazuma and the rest of the guests wished them a long and happy life together. After the ceremony, Walter and Lalatina rode in a chariot to Walter's home. Darkness's grandfather expressed his gratitude to all of the guests who attended his granddaughter's wedding.

As he walked home alone, Kazuma had a small smirk on his face. He pulled out that treasure from his pocket. It was Megumin's pants. It is a sexy black dress. Even now, Megumin has no idea that Kazuma stole her pants and ruined her dance. Kazuma had a satisfied smile on his face.

Kazuma thinks, 'Megumin, I will keep this with me forever.'

Flashback,

The previous night, during the banquet, Kazuma waited for Kyouya and Megumin to take their peeking eyes off him. When he got the opportunity, Kazuma walked over to the balcony. Luckily, there was no one there. All the other people were focused on either the dance or the grand feast. He positioned himself so that no one would easily notice him. Kazuma could see Megumin and Kyouya dancing from a distance. He bet everything he had on his luck and put his hands in his pockets in his pants. He focused his eyes on Megumin and activated his stealth magic without chanting. The bright light emerged in his right hand, but no one noticed as his hands were in his pocket. Only a very little light peeked out of his pants. Kazuma stole her pants on purpose.

Kazuma felt so happy that he stole their moment. It was his sweaty revenge. After that, he quietly went back to his room and pulled out the pants. He smirked and kept looking at it until midnight. Then Kazuma set out for his second mission. About this time, the banquet was over and everyone was in their rooms. Kazuma put up the mask. He was heading straight to Kyouya's room. On the way, he saw some servants walking around. Kazuma used his lurking skills to make his way through them without getting caught. He reached Kyouya's room.

Kazuma was lucky that the door was not locked. Kazuma couldn't find Kyouya in his room. He didn't turn on the lights. He used his night vision skills to look for his sword. Kazuma finally found it. Just then, Kyouya entered the room. Then Kazuma hid himself under the bed. Kyouya didn't notice Kazuma. Kazuma waited for Kyouya to fall asleep. Then he came out of his hideout. He made sure that Kyouya was asleep. Then Kazuma took Kyouya's sword and jumped out of the window. Thankfully, he landed safely in the sunshade. He jumped to the ground and walked over to the fence.

He sensed someone following him using his detection skills. Kazuma walked over to the fence and climbed over it. After that, he continued walking through the grassy plains. Kazuma headed to the nearby river. He threw that sword into the river. He stood there for some time and went back to his room. Chris was the one who was following him. She was searching for something valuable to steal. Chris was wondering who it was. She was hiding behind a big rock in the ground. She wasn't able to identify Kazuma because of the mask. But she had no intent to catch him and tell the others. Instead, Chris went near the river and collected the sword from it. Her eyes glowed when she got her hands on that sword. She decided to sell it for money. She took that sword with her. On the wedding day, after the marriage, she skillfully fled the mansion with that sword.

After arriving in town, he decided not to post any recruitment notices in the guild because he did not want any more unskilled or unreliable teammates. Instead, he worked as a part-time waiter at a hotel and went hunting for large toads on his own. One day, while he was drinking beer at the hotel, he realized that the ice in his beer was not enough to cool it to his liking. As he was about to request more ice, he noticed a cold breeze coming from his hand that was holding the glass. The cold air froze the beer and the glass as a whole. He looked at his hand in amazement, wondering where this ability came from.
