Chapter 2: Meeting new comrade

Still Mc POV

After getting up from the bed and eating the breakfast, I ignored some fight in the cafeteria and go to the Guild to get some quest and as I'm pretty strong I'm sure I could take on some beginner quest for experience to level up and my quest to get teammates is on hold for a while.

After I walk into the Guild I make my way to the board beside the counter to search for quest that I'm suitables of. This is what is on the board

"Please help me find my missing cat"

"Exterminate goblin nest Reward depend on the amount you kill"

"Kill 5 Giant Toads 100000 Eris + 5000 For each extra"

And some more but I already find one that I want so I take the toad quest and goes to the counter to accept it.

"Hey I'm accepting this quest can you register it on my account?" I asked to the counter lady.

"Sure , just wait a bit " She said with a smile as she takes the paper from my hand.

"Alright it is registered hope that you are able to complete as there is penalty depend on the circumstances of the reason you failed" She said .

After I try to goes to the exit I remember that I got extra points for my stats and skill so I decided to use it and I muffled "status'.

"I see so if my guess is right that I could train my status I don't need to waste the Attributes Points so that just leaves me with the Skill points I got 40 on it so I should try putting in low amount at first to see the effectines and I can also learn new skill if I accumulate enough points" As I said that I put 2 points to each of my skills except the Status which is already max probably because that is my cheat.

After I put the points in the skills I feel a sudden boost of power and some knowledge on how to use my skill better than before."I guess that is why they said to level up as much as possible huh?"

Oh right where is the toad again I need to test my stenght against something cause I can't contain my excitement anymore . It is supposed to be at east from here right at the mountain?

*After being lost for half an hour*

"Huh I guess I really got lot of stamina like before as I still can't break a sweat after walking around for almost an hour or maybe it lesser but anyway I found the monster so here I' am." I look around to see some Giant blue toads jumping around and honestly it look freaking ugly not gonna lie .

"Ah right, now I need to decide to I use sword or just explode them ?" but after thinking for a while I decide to just use my beginner sword against them hopefully they didn't got THAT much resistance against physical attack. Also as Im in RPG world dueling is probably included so I need as much battle experience as I had before the time come.

"NICE, I got 2 swords might as well just dual wielding them but after this I might had to buy other sword or maybe make them which I didn't think got a high possibility " I said that as I pull out both my swords and start closing distance between me and the toad .

"ORA" I yell out an battle cry like from an anime I used to watch before it got cancelled.

I slash the toad as fast as I could and notice wait why didn't my status got agility stats so is my card but well I slash it faster than I could see then I use the Shadow steps skills I disappeared from where I was and quickly hit the toad on the back of it's head then I use my other sword to stab it's eye and the other for it's other eye and the toad collapse and motionless I assume it's dead already and with my status I'm pretty sure I was able to pull it off so I check my card for the confirmations and I heard

"DING" "DING" "DING"

I was amazed by the fact that 1 toads equal to 3 level I'm assuming that the toad gives enormous experience and my low level if my guess was right I might as well be around level 9 or 10 after this.

And of course after I put my hard earned 10 of 15 points I earned to Sword Mastery and Shadow steps making them both at level 8 I notice the other toads start coming toward me and of course as quickly as before I active Shadow steps why making me faster than before and dual wielding both my swords to kill them .

*Insert a few minutes of epic fights against 3 Giant Toads*

"DAMN THAT IS EXHAUSTING!" I yelled out as I was down on the ground , well fighting against 3 giant toads at my fastest speed should make me tired if not I don't think I should be here I feel like fighting level 10 player with good items as an level 50 player with the weakest items. Anyway my sword both is broken probably either it's damm weak or can't withstand my speed probably the latter anyway I need 1 more toad so I am thinking of using the explosion spell as my mana is quite full around 90+%

"Oh speaking of the devil" I said that as I found 5 more extra toads well just my luck I need to test explosions anyway

"So uh EXPLOSION!" I yelled the incarnation and point my palm toward where the toads is and then BOOM is only what I heard before the strength in my leg is gone and then I collapsed to the floor though still conscious.

"Damn that explosion is pretty cool and all but I think I had to stick to my sword for now until I got more mana I'm pretty damn sure even if my mana is full I'll barely got any left after using it though I hope the spell will need lesser mana on the higher level" I said that and good thing that all the toads around me are probably destroyed Because I need a few minutes to get enough mana for me to walk in my own. "Well hello son of a biscuit" I swear that they keep coming. I see a slime type thing maybe? Hope it's weak cause slime is mostly RPG monster type for beginner but considering this world tradition I'm pretty sure it's the opposite and that Slime is pretty frickin powerful but that also mean more EXP so I try take on it BUT I just remember that MY SWORDS ALREADY BROKE SO.

"NIGERUNDAYOOO! " I yelled as I try to find the way to the town using Shadow steps but after awhile my mana almost run out so I stopped using the skill and try outrunning the slime but with my luck there is a rock THAT APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE and of course, I trip myself and hope that the slime hadn't caught out yet only to see that it already did well note to myself DON'T FRICKIN USE EXPLOSION ANYMORE UNLESS IN EMERGENCY. But as my luck isn't that I see a person with a staff a few meters infront of me so I do what any sane person would do and yelp for help. "HEY YOU OVER THERE CAN YOU HELP ME KILL THIS SLIME?!" I yelp to the person and whoever that is turn around with an excited eye

"Well you owe me one for this " the person is certainly a girl around a few years younger than me seems like a mage type with her staff, wizard hat and other stuffs and also damn cute with smooth dark brown hair I'm pretty sure she is at least just below the artist that specialise in beauty in my old world but that doesn't mater for now and then she start using some kind of incarnation for a certain spell

"Darkness blacker than black and darker than dark,

Yeah that's what she said and then a loud BANG was probably heard within 1km radius and I'm not joking it's so damn LOUD but my ear didn't go deaf somehow and IS THAT EXPLOSION SPELL is that what it will be after putting more points will be like that's so OP.

"Hey can you hear me?" the girl said as she collapse to the floor probably because she didn't got enough mana same as me earlier .

"Yes, how can I help you?" I asked her and going to check her out

"Can you bring me back to the the town I can't move after I use my spell" Oh well i really hope that she did have other spells cause that's like asking for death if you're solo like me for now and I legit need more team .Though I'm not one to talk or I am gonna be a hypocrite.

"Yeah , sure anyway what's your name " I asked her genuinely as I really need to now cause it'd be awkward to call her "Hey", "You" or something similar .

"I'AM MEGUMIN, THE WIELDER OF EXPLOSION MAGIC AND THE NUMBER 1 IN THE CR-"I cut her off

"Alright Megumin ,I really am happy and grateful that you help me but can you just use some other spells I mean you had to have other spells right that use less mana?" I asked Megumin as I pick her up to piggyback .

"There is no more worthy magic other than Explosion spell that is both destructive and powerful"

She said with a smug on her face , oh how I want to just pinch her cheek now but no I must hold my desire or she will think less of me wait what?

"But I know you must had enough mana for Explosion but you realize that you are completely worthless and vulnerable to attack if you failed to finish off the enemies right ? Also you might as well other monster with how loud the spell is."I finished her off and as my mana recovered enough for me to go to the town using Shadow steps and had spare left I quickly use the skill which made Megumin unable to make any excuses whatsoever.

*After some awkward minutes of me running"

"Alright here is the town where do you live cause I'm pretty sure you won't be able to walk for awhile". I asked which she replied with a kind of depressing voice

"Well....it is at the Guild stable as I don't have enough money to go to an inn or foods"

"Hold up you got a powerful spell why didn't anyone team up with yo-,oh yeah nevermind they probably left after you cast you first and last explosion." I said but then she said

"Oh, but don't worry as I'm now in your party I'll probably not suffer as much anymore as you will help me back after quests with needed my EXPLOSION and we'll make some good amount of money" Megumin said with smile in which I think

'Frick this is troublesomes not to mention she is useless after one spell though hope she'll behave and if I ever try to refuse there is some people here in which she can blackmail me somehow and end me up being the bad guy"

"Fine welcome to the party Megumin" I said with a so/so face
