69 Chapter 69 Anger

Konoha.

Aoyama House.

"Ha!"

Entering the house and seeing the brightly lit corridor, Kazuki was silent for a few moments but eventually shaking his head chuckled and took off his shoes, putting them in the shoe rack near the door.

Thud!

While Kazuki was putting on the house slippers, there was a movement like a sound of footsteps as hearing the sound Kazuki looked towards it.

To the left in the corridor from the door that led to the dining room walked out a woman.

Her fair skin a contrast to the dark, silken strands of hair that cascaded down her back. Fringes fell delicately over her forehead, a youthful touch to her otherwise mature features.

A soft, pastel-colored blouse adorned her torso, with a red-plum skirt reaching a little below her knees.

"Mother"

Said Kazuki lightly seeing the woman, not much excitement or anything in his tone despite seeing her after nearly three years.

Hearing Kazuki's dull tone, the look of excitement deep in Aoyama Keiko's brown eyes died down immediately replaced by a complicated one but the smile on her face wasn't affected a little.

"Go take a shower and freshen up first, the dinner will be ready by then"

"Yes, Mother"

Said Keiko to Kazuki, who nodding with his gaze down walked up the stairs that led to the second floor.

Wearing a soft white cotton t-shirt along with grey shorts, Kazuki with his silver hair still somewhat wet from the shower walked down the stairs and towards the dining room.

The room was brightly lit, Keiko was busy setting dishes on the dining table in the middle of the room with four chairs around it and two being occupied.

On one chair sat a man who looked around the same age as Keiko, silver hair framing his fair face that had a stern look. He sat on the chair with his eyes closed and arms crossed around his chest.

Aoyama Ryo, Kazuki's Father.

On the other sat a girl who looked around 18, black hair reaching down her back and eyes similar to Ryo.

Aoyama Yui, Kazuki's Sister.

Ryo and Yui sensed Kazuki who entered the room, looking towards him immediately.

"Father"

"Yui"

Said Kazuki lightly feeling the eyes on him, next moment sitting on the chair next to Yui with a straight face.

"Let's start"

No one said anything as deathly silence enveloped the dining room, Keiko after finally setting the last dish breaking the silence with a smile still across her face.

"Thanks for the food"

Picking up the chopsticks Kazuki clasped his hands before his face and muttered lightly, next moment picking the grilled fish on the small plate and taking a bite, picking the bowl of boiled rice with the other hand and digging in.

The family of four that gathered after three years ate quietly without anyone initiating a conversation, though Ryo and Yui from time to time giving Kazuki a sneaky look.

Finally, Ryo who seemed to have something to say couldn't hold on anymore, gulping a mouthful of miso soup down and speaking next moment, his eyes locked on Kazuki.

"Although it's not the best thing to say right after not meeting for so long but it concerns our safety and it's mostly because of you, so I have no choice Kazuki"

Said Ryo to Kazuki with a straight face, who halted his movements at this and raised his head to look at his father.

"What happened?" Asked Kazuki with a confused look in his eyes.

"Can we leave this for some other time? Seriously we met our son after so long!" Before Ryo could say anything more to Kazuki, Keiko with a displeased face spoke to Ryo.

"No Mother, if he doesn't care for us then why should we do the same? He needs to know what he did" But Yui spoke on her father's behalf, her eyes that gazed at kazuki full of anger and frustration.

"Yui!!!"

Thud!!

At this clear anger appeared on Keiko's face as she admonished her loudly, but at this moment Kazuki putting the bowl back on the table with some force took everyone's attention.

"Let her speak, mother."

Said Kazuki to his mother with a calm face, turning his head to fully focus on Yui who sat next to him.

*That arrogant face again*

Seeing Kazuki looking at her calmly, the anger on Yui's face increased visible to a naked eye as she complained inwardly.

But knowing what was important right now, Yui brought her emotion under control and finally spoke up in the anticipating eyes of Kazuki.

"Because of your selfishness the three of us are in trouble now; just like always you only cared about getting stronger and didn't think for a second how would it affect those around you"

"We are under a trial for stealing forbidden jutsu that you displayed during the war and because we are part of Anbu that often enters hokage building, we are almost considered guilty"

"We have no evidence to prove our innocence; if it weren't for your reputation reaching a new height in the last battle that probably made higher ups hesitate a little, we might have already been put to prison and even put to death"

"But the trail against us still stays and most jonin of the village are already aware of it"

"Does getting stronger matter that much to you!!? Stealing jutsu and even using your own parents and sister as a scapegoat, tell me is it really that important!!!?"

Yelled Yui at Kazuki with fire near spitting out of her eyes, the anger and disappointment in her tone clearly evident.

"That's enough, Yui!!!"

Every word that left Yui's mouth seemed to hit Keiko like a bullet, finally unable to hold herself back anymore and asking her to stop in a pleading tone.

Thud!!

At Keiko pleading her to stop, Yui finally stopped talking but still kept looking at Kazuki who sat silent on his chair for an answer.
