67 Chapter 67 End of War

Tanzaku Town.

Tanzaku Castle.

As the sun dipped low on the horizon, casting long shadows across the town, the weary yet victorious Konoha shinobi gathered in an open ground within Tanzaku Castle, sitting under the expansive sky.

Among the konoha shinobi sat Kazuki, his silver hair a stark contrast against the crimson sky.

"It's him, Kazuki, the one who killed the five tails jinchuriki" whispered an injured chunin to a medic tending to his wounds.

The medic paused at his words and looked at the young boy who sat in the middle of open ground with a blonde wrapping bandages on his upper body, his lips parting.

"They say he is only twelve years old; I'm turning thirty this year and can't even dream of standing toe to toe with someone who can control a natural disaster like tailed beast"

"Any praise is less for him; he truly has done something few ever even imagined."

Said the medic his honest thoughts, without a hint of jealousy and pure admiration in his tone for kazuki.

No one could have thought that a boy who was more than a year and half ago was still at academy would rise to fame like this and do miracles.

All the shinobi who gathered in the open ground to be treated had eyes of admiration on Kazuki, also sharing their thoughts on his unbelievable strength.

"Well~ how does it feel to be a target of everyone's admiration? Pretty good right?" Asked Tsunade with a smile on her beautiful face, her brown eyes with a curious look on Kazuki's face and her hands busy wrapping a bandage around his chest.

"Haha"

At her question Kazuki shaking his head let out a little laugh, speaking next moment.

"No one dislikes getting praised but for some people too much of it becomes awkward at one point; I respect what they feel for me but I'm not the only one who fought in this war; others deserve as much as credit as I do."

Said Kazuki his thoughts honestly, he was not someone who liked being in the limelight too much, if there was a choice of doing a task while alerting and not alerting others, he would gladly choose the latter.

"Hehe~ prepare yourself for a considerable amount of awkwardness—this is just the beginning. Once we return to the village, you'll truly understand what it feels like to be the focus of thousands of admirers."

"I can already hear the chants of "Blue Storm of Leaf" and "Hero of the Village"

While giggling, Tsunade teased Kazuki with a small spoiler about his upcoming encounter.

"Hero… huh"

Said Kazuki in a low voice, a deep look in his brown eyes.

"Ok, it's done"

While chatting Tsunade finally wrapped the last bandage around Kazuki's right shoulder and patting his shoulder signaled the end of his treatment.

"Please stay seated Lady Tsunade; your wounds need to be treated as well"

Tsunade who after treating Kazuki was about to heal the external wounds she suffered stopped suddenly at Kazuki's words, looking at him with a confused face.

But the confused look was quickly replaced with a shocked face, Kazuki raising his right hand with green chakra covering it.

Tsunade took off the grey armor she was wearing and sat with her back facing Kazuki, who saw a deep cut on her shoulder that was slowly healing itself already.

"Sometimes I truly found it hard to believe that you are just twelve; A medical ninjutsu of the difficulty of an A-Rank Jutsu and you can perform it so easily, just how have you trained?"

Asked Tsunade with an emotional look on her face, the jutsu that Kazuki was using to heal her wounds was something that very few medical shinobi in the village could use because of the difficulty to master it yet Kazuki could use it as well.

At her question Kazuki stayed silent and just continued to heal her wounds with a straight face, Tsunade at this smiling and talking inwardly.

The news of Iwa army getting annihilated and Han, the Jinchuriki of Five Tails dying spread all around the ninja world like fire.

The title "Blue Storm of Leaf" rose to even more fame around the world.

Two days following the conflict that resulted in Iwagakure's loss of Han, the village formally surrendered. Subsequently, the remaining Iwa shinobi on the Land of Rain withdrew to their village.

Roshi who was captured after getting surrounded was released after iwagakure paid a hefty amount for him: third hokage and the elders agreeing to receive compensation for him.

Hanzo also declared his formal withdrawal from the war. With these two successive announcements, the Second Ninja World War, which had persisted for over three years, finally came to an end.

But the result of this war was no different from the first, Konoha still emerging victorious.

Konoha army gathered at Tanzaku at this news all packed their stuff and under the leadership of Sakumo, Tsunade, Kazuki and Orochimaru departed back towards the village.
