62 Chapter 62 Sharp Tongue

Thup…Thup…Thup…

The rain pattered on the battered ground as amid it stood two figures opposite to each other at some distance, one a tall man donning a red armor with a hole on the stomach and the other a young looking silver haired shinobi, his upper body naked with his skin looking raw and red.

"Huff… I must say I'm truly impressed and even jealous; at such a young age you clearly possess the strength rivaling a kage, the fertile land of konoha is truly enviable"

Said Han while taking in deep breaths to reduce his exhaustion from the fight up till now, admiration and envy in his tone.

He had battled most of his lifetime so it was fairly easy for han to see that the strength gap between him and kazuki was barely noticeable.

Something impossible like a twelve-year kid possessing kage rank strength relying solely on ninjutsu was right before him.

"Ha!"

At his words Kazuki brought a smile on his face and chuckled, responding.

"My strength has nothing to do with me growing up in konoha; don't try to blame your own weakness on a piece of land" Said Kazuki with a hint of ridicule in his tone.

*If anything I would have been surely even stronger somewhere else* Said Kazuki inwardly.

Probably few know about the darkness of konoha more than him, when he first activated his system he was so worried of being found about and taken away.

If he had not been born in konoha and tied to a shinobi family physically and emotionally, he would have been way stronger cause then without worry he could have exercised his strength and experimented.

"Oh~"

Han didn't show any anger at his words as he seemed to have gotten some interesting information from Kazuki's words, his red eyes brightening and his lips parting.

"So you think konoha hasn't played any part in your current strength, right? Then why fight and put your life on the line for a village that gave you nothing. How about changing sides?"

Suggested Han with an expectant look in his eyes as no matter how strong the person before him; he was still an immature kid, maybe a seed of rebellion against konoha can be sowed in his heart to win over him.

At his words Kazuki was first speechless for a second before he finally let out a little laugh, looking at Han like he was the biggest joke of the world.

But quickly thinking of something he suppressed his laugh and spoke up, a grin on his face.

"Is that so? Then I could give you the same suggestion. why do you fight for a village that forced a monster in your body and treated you like one for year?

"And are you strong because you were born in Iwagakure or are you strong because you managed to bond with a cluster of hatred?"

"You have clearly attained the current strength you have solely relying on yourself, you have more reasons than me to change sides"

Put Kazuki some interesting facts before Han with an expectant look for latter's response on his face.

"This…. bastard….

Han at Kazuki's words truly showed signs of anger, despite knowing that the enemy was trying to rile him up he still couldn't control his anger, cause every word that kazuki said was based on truth.

"His tongue matches his strength"

Praised Kokou the five tails, unable to stop itself from doing so as Kazuki had managed to make han known for his cool headedness lose his calm.

"What? Cat got your tongue!"

BOOM!!!

Seeing Han angry but still not saying much, Kazuki taunted him even more but the response this time Han rushing towards him.

Boil Release: Whispering Fumes!

While rushing towards Kazuki, Han did a couple of hand signs and opened his mouth, a thick stream of steam gushed out of his mouth and cannoned towards Kazuki.

Earth Release: Earth Wall!

While his right hand was holding the Kusanagi sword, Kazuki watching the approaching steam stream resorted to one hand signs and smashed his left hand on the ground.

BOOM!!

A dirt wall rose up before Kazuki reaching a height of at least 10 meters and half wide, the steam stream hit it accurately and blew it to pieces immediately but as a result itself dispersing.

Water Style! Water Shuriken Technique!

The earth wall successfully defending him from the attack of Han and Kazuki didn't take more than to counterattack, opening his mouth to release a large amount of water as it turned into shurikens next moment, kazuki firing them towards Han.

Boil Release: Cascade Bind!

Han, however seemed prepared to deal with the approaching attack, the steam around him shaping into numerous thick ropes, intercepting the water shurikens and causing them to revert back to water.

Water Style! Water Cannon Technique!

Once again Kazuki resorted to his jutsu that managed to injure han earlier, standing still at the spot flashing hand signs and after sucking a deep breath, firing a hot beam of compressed water towards Han.

"It won't work everytime kid!"

Muttered Han watching the water beam approaching and sucked in a large breath as well.

Boil Release: Pressure Cannon.

BOOM!!!!

A concentrated beam of steam with high pressure shot out from the mouth of han. The two attacks collided mid-air, creating a massive explosion of water and steam that rocked the battlefield.

Water Style! Water Torrent Technique!

Han didn't get much time to breathe after dealing with Kazuki's attack, a small torrent of water rushing towards him at high speed, on the course to engulf him completely.

Boil Release: Vapor Strides.

Resorting to the jutsu that increased his speed, Han with steam bursting out of his soles nearly turned into afterimages and dodged the current that was ready to drag him away.

The battle raged on with both shinobi pushing their abilities to limit, the long night continuing to pass as the battle that would decide the faith of the war continued.

(I'll release two chapters tomorrow again as I want to quickly finish the war and start moving towards the real plot)
