48 Chapter 48 Intense Battle

In the vicinity of Tanzaku Town, the forest was shrouded in darkness. The only sources of light were the sporadic flashes of chakra-infused jutsu and the distant glow of the moon.

Amidst the towering trees, the clash of steel and the crackle of jutsu resonated through the night as shinobi from Iwagakure and Konohagakure engaged in a deadly combat dance.

Konoha's elite forces moved with precision, their leaf insignias shimmering in the moonlight as they confronted their Iwagakure adversaries.

In the midst of the chaos, Minato, his face covered with dust, found himself face to face with an imposing Iwa Jonin.

"A Jonin?" Minato murmured, his azure eyes fixed on the burly Iwa shinobi standing some distance away. This was his first time confronting a Jonin head-on in a war.

Despite having trained under Jiraiya and having fought extensively on the battlefield over the past six months, facing a Jonin could be life-threatening.

However, despite the danger, Minato didn't exhibit fear. His eyes revealed an eagerness to engage the enemy.

Kazuki, on one knee, watched the huge four-tailed red monkey with awe. Despite the awe, his face still held hope for victory.

The bigger the enemy, the easier it was for an attack to hit.

Kazuki and Fukashi saw the red-skinned and green-furred monkey with eyes having yellow irises and white pupils looking at them, their faces changing.

With a roar, he charged towards them. The ground shook with every step the humongous beast took, his multiple tails whipping around him.

But just when both Kazuki and Fukashi planned to move away from the range of Roshi, a huge shadow flew out of the forest and moonlight was reflected by a huge sword suddenly.

A Red Toad with Jiraiya sitting on top of its head flew out. It moved nimbly in the air and slashed the huge swords in its hand at the four tails.

The huge toad was easily spotted by Roshi who had transformed into four tails. Watching the sword making its way towards him, he showed no fear and raised his huge arm to punch towards the sword.

"DAMN THIS MONKEY!!!"

The skin of Four Tails was so thick that the blade was unable to pierce through it and was actually forced out of the grip of Gamabunta, who cursed in shock and anger.

"Stay Put, You Insect!!!" Seeing the angry toad, the four tails spoke up and at the same moment raised his arm for another punch, the only difference being lava appearing on the huge fist.

"BAD!!!" Seeing the massive lava fist, the anger of Gamabunta was instantly replaced by clarity as he cursed in fright, even Jiraiya showing a dreadful look.

"Again it's that kid!" The Four Tails didn't seem to have been affected much from the fall. Lying on the ground, it moved its eyes to gaze at Kazuki at some distance, understanding who just cracked the earth open.

But the focus of Four Tails was quickly shifted from Kazuki as the red toad suddenly sprayed a large amount of oil from its mouth.

Jiraiya, at the same time standing on its head, sprayed out fire, a look of dread appearing in the eye of the four tails.
