34 Chapter 34 Aftermath

Sand Stronghold.

The air grew heavy and the humidity pressed down, almost suffocating. The scent of rain dark and heady and a stillness falling over the whole stronghold.

Asked Jiraiya with a sad look on his face, for the first time focusing on a man despite a woman next to him.

The man who he was joking and talking with couple of days ago was now dead on the floor, just like many in the past.

He just couldn't understand why people won't understand each other's pain, when they do it'll surely stop this madness that has been lasting for hundreds of thousands of years.

"This is reality. The reality of these fragile people."

Thought Orochimaru with an abnormally calm look on his face, his eyes seem to be slowing losing an emotion.

"I think we should send Kato-San's body back to the village as soon as possible, It's best if Lady Tsunade doesn't see him in this state again!"

Spoke the other person in the camp, Kazuki giving a suggestion as he knew Tsunade after waking up seeing Dan in this state might pass out again.

He had seen how she broke down at the moment of Dan's death, so he didn't want her to be mentally affected again.

Everyone only has few such people in their lives whose death would break them down so much.

Said Kazekage biting his lips, a look of regret on his face for not being able to save Pakura.

"The way the intelligence describes him, silver hair, good at water style, shadow clone jutsu, excellent chakra reserves and amazing combat intellect, I would be a fool if that guy doesn't come in my head."

Said Chiyo with a deep look in her eyes, everything about this shinobi whose name they still don't know was so similar to that man.

Kazekage naturally knew who Chiyo was hinting at but that didn't bring any fear on his face, only anger and desire to kill.

Gave Kazekage his order to Chiyo with an anticipating look on his face, there were twists and turns but he believed that the news of Tsunade critically injured and Dan Kato dying would be enough to entice the other villages to jump into the war and attack konoha, which was the purpose of this whole plan.

Soon Sunagakure released the news of what happened and the intelligence of other villages bringing the news to the higher ups immediately.
