28 Chapter 28 Ambush

In the forest,
Deathly silence had enveloped the woods and even the sound of breathing audible, the shocked eyes of Konoha squad on the man with dark blue hair before them.

Kazekage seeing the konoha shinobi before him smiled a little and gave each one of them a thorough look.
His gaze stopped on Tsunade, Dan and Kazuki for a second and for the rest his eyes didn't show any interest.
"I didn't expect to get both the targets at the same time, but well it only saves time!"
Said Kazekage after eyeing everyone, the intent to kill mostly focused on Tsunade and Dan.
At his words Tsunade's eyes widened and seemed to come to a realization.
"So all that attacking the towns and poisoning them was…?"
"Yes! It was to lure you out! But I didn't really expect to catch the other troublesome fish at the same time, you both have given Sunagakure quite a tough time!"
Confirmed Kazekage the guess of Tsunade, after the meeting that day they all thought about how to lure Tsunade whose death would be more beneficial out.
After a long thought, the plan to attack the towns using poison was formulated as they knew death of those not even involved in the war would surely anger Daimyo of Land of River and he will pressure konoha to deal with this matter.
Tsunade who could deal with poisons was expected by Suna to leave the camp and help the victims detoxify.
Rasa who was keeping an eye on Konoha's stronghold with the eye made of his gold dust saw the squad departing and immediately conveyed the news to Kazekage.
Knowing their destination Kazekage and the other two waited on the road that led towards the towns affected by poison and successfully interrupted their march.
After the words of Kazekage there was no need to talk anymore, the konoha squad all taking the stance and getting ready to fight.
Iron Sand: Scattered Showers!!
Black sand suddenly appeared around Kazekage and in less then a second turned into numerous small sharp nails, blasted towards the konoha squad.
Swish!!
Chakra bust out of the soles of every konoha squad member, jumping high and dodging the barrage of iron sand nails.
Gold Dust: Sand Crush!!
But just when everyone was still mid-air from having dodged the attack of Kazekage, a huge hand of gold around 2 meters large and equally wide grabbed towards them, intending to squish everyone.
Clink!!
Seeing the approaching hand Tsunade raised her arm with a serious face to blast the hand with a punch but someone moved faster, Kazuki mid-air pulling out the Kusanagi strapped on his back.
Zzzzzz!!!
Lightning Release: Lightning Blade!!
In an instant blue lightning coated the Kusanagi completely as next moment raising his arm high Kazuki slashed at the golden hand from top to base.
BOOM!!!
Like butter the hand was neatly cut into two from top to bottom and the heat from lightning seems to have even melted some of the gold dust, the sand tumbling down.
Zzzzz!!!
The konoha squad safely landed back on the ground but with lightning coating his legs Kazuki rushed forward immediately after landing and took the initiative to attack Kazekage.
Ha!
Kazekage seeing the silver haired shinobi approaching him at high speed chuckled and raised his right arm but put it down next moment after sensing something.
Swish!
Swoosh!
Two figures halted the progress of Kazuki towards Kazekage, Pakura with the burning orb in her left hand and Rasa with gold dust attached to his right hand to shape it into a huge fist coming before him.
DIE!!!!!!
AHHH!!!!
With anger and frustration on her face, Pakura yelled and smashed the orb towards Kazuki and at the same moment Rasa punching towards him with the huge fist.
Suiton: Mizu Tate No Jutsu {Water Shield Technique}
Kazuki didn't lose his calm at the sudden attack from both of them, squatting a little and with one hand making quick hand sign and water rising out of nowhere suddenly and swirling around to take the shape of a cylindrical barrier around him.
Thud!
The burning orb and the huge golden fist fell on the cylindrical barrier around Kazuki, the fist punching through it but the burning orb evaporating and turning into steam.
The punch of Rasa bypassing the water shield hit nothing and immediately he traced around with an alert look, Pakura doing the same.
Swish!
But their worry was for nothing as at a safe distance from them; Kazuki slowly rose up from deep underground, his eyes locked on them.
"Even Earth Style, truly a little monster!"
All of this happened in a matter of seconds and the rest witnessed it all, Kazekage with a surprised acknowledging Kazuki.
"Everyone! leave these two here to me; the main trouble is Kazekage so focus on him!"
Said Kazuki without moving his gaze from Rasa and Pakura, understanding that the real danger for everyone was Kazekage.
"Be careful" Said Tsunade to Kazuki and next second gave the rest of the squad around including Dan a look.
Swish!
With Tsunade taking the lead, the seven jonin and Dan all lunged at Kazekage who maintaining a calm look lunged back at them, a fight for survival starting in the forest.
