26 Chapter 26 Frustration

Land of Grass.

In a bamboo forest with large mushrooms growing on the ground, a large area seems to have been cleared up to set up a camp.

Most of the camps had a small fan emblem printed it, the crest of the famous Uchiha Clan.

Some even had the crest of Yamanaka Clan, another famous house residing in Konoha.

The shinobi of the both clans were currently settled here, the area around the camp was guarded strictly and no one could even come close to it.

Land of Grass shares it border with Land of Fire, Kusagakure an ally of Konoha is situated in Land of Grass as well.

At the center of the camp, a tent stood out from the rest with five to six shinobi with animal masks covering the face guarding it.

Inside the tent,

A shinobi just like those guarding outside with a falcon mask was handing a scroll to man donning a black battle gear, his forehead and right eye covered with bandages, an X mark on his chin.

Handing the scroll to Danzo, the root shinobi left the tent as without wasting a moment Danzo unsealed the scroll.

Quickly Danzo went through the contents of the scroll, first a proud look appearing on his face but soon the proud look slowly disappearing and anger slowly taking its place.

BOOM!

"When did you become such a coward Hiruzen!!!? This is the best chance to take down Hanzo when he's at his weakest!!"

Cursed Danzo banging the scroll on the ground, frustration and disappointment clearly on his face.

In the scroll sent from the village, Sarutobi first praised Danzo for his deed of destroying the main warehouse of Amegakure but he still called him back rather than going with his second plan of assassinating Hanzo.

He was frustrated at being forced to go back to village when he could help the village even more by taking down the culprit who started the second world war.

But he was disappointed at something else, since the day Hiruzen became Hokage he just couldn't help but hate him as he himself always wanted to hokage.

But he admired him equally because he couldn't deny the fact that Sarutobi was more of a shinobi then he could ever be, that day when everyone hesitated only Sarutobi presented himself to be a bait to lure the enemy away.

But the older Sarutobi was getting, Danzo was finding him getting more and more cowardly and this was disappointing him greatly.

After cursing for a while, Danzo stood statue at the spot for a while and closing his eye went into deep thinking.

"No! I won't let such a chance go to waste just because of your cowardliness Hiruzen, I'll deal with this my own way!"

After a while Danzo opened his eye and with a determined face muttered, his tone resolute and full of confidence.

If it's for the better of the village, he won't hesitate from refusing to act on Hokage's orders.

Three days later,

Konoha.

Hokage Office.

"The Uchiha and Yamanaka Shinobi has returned but…Lord Danzo giving orders to not to follow him went somewhere with the root shinobi"

A member of the Anbu black ops was on one knee before Sarutobi in the office, narrating all the latest happenings to Sarutobi.

Ha!

Hearing the report Sarutobi closed his eyes and leaned back, taking a deep breath from the smoke pipe and puffing out.

Koharu and Homura were present in the office as well, hearing the report an ugly look appearing on their faces.

"Umm…you can go back!"

Clink!

Said Sarutobi to the Anbu in an exhausted voice who immediately walked out and shut the door close.

"You can guess where he went right? He better not fails cause if he does than he'll learn for sure what disobeying a hokage results in!"

After a brief silence Sarutobi looked towards the elders in the room and spoke in a chilly tone, sweat rolling down the brows of both as able to feel the anger of Sarutobi.

Sand Stronghold.

Inside the main camp,

"Another town was Poisoned to death, Damn Sunagakure!! They are now playing dirty tricks!!"

Tsunade putting the scroll away cursed with an angry face, the news that was written on the scroll making her angry.

It's been a total of two weeks since the last battle and Sunagakure rather than launching a head on battle again have been attacking the towns of Land of River.

Land of River was an ally of Konoha and an attack on them during this time clearly meant attack on konoha.

Tsunade was angry as Sunagakure from the defeats seemed to have gone mad, attacking those who weren't even involved in the fight and moreover killing them with poison.

"The daimyo of Land of River was already angry at the previous attacks and now another one, at least we have to save those who still can be saved!"

"Thousands of people are fighting the poison and need an antidote, what do we do Tsunade?"

Jiraiya, Orochimaru and Dan were present in the camp as well, Jiraiya who didn't want more deaths to occur hinting something to Tsunade.

Only Tsunade could save those people and he wanted her to save them despite knowing her leaving the sand front could be dangerous.

Unlike other shinobi, Jiraiya didn't have the stone heart to ignore those who need help when knowing the reason this happened to those people was because of them, Sunagakure took revenge on them because of them.
