28 Basic Operations of Duelists

Some students, who took things seriously, raised objections, questioning the authenticity of the clearly haxed and devastating battle strength of the Shinsu Senju.

"How could humans perform such Ninjutsu? It must be a Natsuhiko-sensei's projection similar to the previous class, all made up."

The little ninjas, after calming down, found it somewhat unreasonable.

Or rather, for those who only knew Three-Style Jutsu and throwing shuriken, the Shinsu Senju was too much of a blow to their confidence.

To the point that they were reluctant to believe it was real.

To get a definite answer, the little ninjas looked towards Natsuhiko with inquiring eyes.

Surprisingly, Natsuhiko nodded.

"The move I just used, the Shinsu Senju, was actually designed based on legendary records, so there are indeed some fictional elements in it."

"What? So, it was designed based on legends|? Legends always have a lot of exaggerations!."

"Yeah, legends even say that the Sage of Six Paths created the moon. You can tell it's fake right away!"

"Sensei is so bad, he scared us, making us think there really was such a powerful Ninjutsu."

"I'm filled with confidence again, I can indeed become a Hokage!"

Upon hearing Natsuhiko's response, the little ninja finally sighed in relief.

However, Natsuhiko did not lie to maintain their confidence.

In reality, due to limitations in the functionality of the Duel Disk, Natsuhiko couldn't display the Senju Buddha in a 1:1 ratio. He had to proportionally shrunk it, making the projection about the size of a Tailed Beast.

Recalling the Nine-Tails being caught like a chicken by the Buddha, you could imagine how much it had been reduced.

So, there was indeed a fictional element.

But Natsuhiko decided not to tell the little ninjas about these specific details to avoid them questioning their life. After all, at this moment, on the opposite side of Natsuhiko, there was already someone doubting their life.

Or2

Kushina, in a dejected posture, was lying on the ground, her body trembling slightly.

It was just like that time.

"I'm really foolish, truly."

Kushina lifted her lacklustre eyes and continued.

"I only knew that I could defeat Natsuhiko in the next round. I didn't know I could be defeated in the round before..."

"Wait a minute, something seems off."

Kushina, who had been muttering like a nagging old woman, found a problem during the recap.

"I couldn't predict this situation because I didn't know that Senju Hashirama could still upgrade using the 'Sage Mode' card!"

[Sage Mode]

[Cost: 10]

[When 'First Hokage ·Senju Hashirama' is on the field, it can be upgraded to 'God of Ninja World ·Senju Hashirama'.]

Thinking this, Kushina couldn't help but look towards Natsuhiko, with a face of disbelief.

"I memorised all the cards yesterday, and there was no such card. Natsuhiko, you're cheating!"

Natsuhiko innocently spread his hands.

"As the designer of this game, it's perfectly reasonable and logical to add new cards to it, right?"

Well-argued.

Although Natsuhiko didn't tell Kushina that he added the new card in a bit of a hurry – during the recent battle.

In short, Natsuhiko changed the technique formula on the hand and made the Duel Disk recognise it as the not yet implemented 'Sage Mode.'

Although Natsuhiko had designed that card, he originally planned to release it as a product and deceive the wave of spenders. Didn't expect it would be useful here.

Well, money can be earned later but the title of Duel King can not be abandoned.

What? Cheating?

Isn't imprinting cards live a basic operation for duelists?

After hearing Natsuhiko's words, Kushina almost sprayed blood.

I painstakingly memorised so many cards, and you're saying you can add whatever you want?

Is there no justice?

Can the inventor of this game act so recklessly?

Kushina helplessly lowered her head, drawing circles on the ground, silently accusing Natsuhiko.

At this moment, her eyes inadvertently caught a line of text engraved in an unremarkable corner of the Duel Disk.

[The final interpretation of this game belongs to the designer Natsuhiko Amou]

Kushina: (╯‵□′)╯︵┴─┴ "You should have said that earlier!"

When Natsuhiko and Kushina took off their Duel Disks and placed them on the podium, the students simultaneously sighed.

"We didn't get enough of it!"

"Why is it ending so soon?"

"Natsuhiko-sensei, play another round!"

Many little ninjas began to protest.

"As I mentioned before, what I just demonstrated for everyone is a card game called Geki-Nin," Natsuhiko explained, and his voice resonated throughout the tiered classroom, quickly silencing everyone.

"I'm sure you all have some doubts now about the practice with the sealing paper and its connection to this game."

The little ninjas exchanged puzzled glances.

"No, Natsuhiko-sensei, we don't have any doubts because we already forgot about those strange papers. But since Natsuhiko-sensei said so", everyone nodded as if they were deeply contemplating the matter.

"Yes, yes, you're right."

Unaware of their thoughts, Natsuhiko continued with the script, "The functioning of this game relies on these two Duel Disks, which contain the principles of Sealing Jutsu and projection techniques. However, these might be too complex for you to focus on right now."

"What you need to focus on is this."

Natsuhiko held up a card between his index and middle fingers, gesturing for Kushina to distribute these cards to the students.

Cheers erupted from the little ninjas, their faces filled with anticipation.

Soon, every student had a small stack of cards, examining and studying them intently, reading the inscribed text.

Although they looked like rough little pieces of paper, each student treasured them, afraid to damage the cards.

After waiting for a while, until everyone's curiosity was satisfied, Natsuhiko revealed his own cards.

"I believe some of you have already noticed that the cards in your hands are slightly different from mine..."

The little ninjas compared them and found that compared to Natsuhiko-sensei's cards, theirs had some blank spaces.

Many students suddenly realised the purpose of these cards.

Without further ado, Natsuhiko exposed the answer.

"That's right, these cards are the sealing papers we'll use for practising rune drawings in the future."

"You can see that each card has a rune technique formula, missing crucial parts. What you'll learn next are the 24 basic runes and their related rune technique formulas."

"Only by successfully completing the rune technique formulas can the Duel Disk recognize that card. In other words, if you like this game, practice well."

"As long as you completely master these runes, you can freely create your own deck."

Natsuhiko, enthusiastically promoting Geki-Nin but suddenly noticed Principal Biwako's stern gaze and quickly added, "Of course, more importantly, mastering these runes will provide a solid foundation for our future study of Sealing Jutsu and projection techniques."

"Thus, when contributing to the development of Konoha in the future, you'll have more power!"

"So everyone..."

"Play cards for the rise of Konoha!"
