Breaking Coffins, not hearts

Uhhh.....my head, Chris groaned and felt something was wrong. He couldn't open his eyes, no.... it wasn't that his eyes wasn't open, but it was too dark for him to see and there wasn't much space for him to move. Where am I, how do I get out of here?.... Chris tried to move what seemed to be like the lid of a coffin, but it seemed to be heavy and it wouldn't budge a little, even after trying very hard.

You fool... quickly gather your Spirit Qi and use it to break the seal, Aaron quickly shouted in his mind. Gathering Qi, how?, Although Chris had read a lot of cultivation novels in his previous life, he actually didn't know actual shit, much less about Gathering Qi.

Forget it, let me take over..... Not wanting to die again, Aaron quickly took control over his body, As he closed his eyes his Meridians felt warm and his hands felt strong like a metallic hammer.

Boom...The seal now seemed to be broken and Aaron was temporarily blinded by the sudden light.

Gasp.... The surrounding crowd didn't say a word, but their shocked expressions said it all.

Looking at their faces, it seemed as if they had seen the devil. The crowd started murmuring as Aaron leaned on the broken gold coffin and inspite of his vision being hazy, stayed vigilant of these familiar but unknown people around him.

Aaro....n.. undoubtedly hearing his sister's voice, Aaron looked towards the direction he heard her voice and stumbled as he fell into the warm bosom of his sister as he weakly said Laura..... before he lost his consciousness.

Few hours later....

Uhhh.....Where am I?.., looking at the familiar yet unknown surroundings, Chris tried to wake up.

Owwww.....He suddenly had a severe headache and he held head with his hands and tried to withstand the pain and after a few minutes of intense struggle, his pain seemed to alleviate and he realised that he had absorbed Aaron's memories and he realised where he currently was.

It was his (Aaron's) room and he was currently bandaged from the waist upto his lower chest and as he struggled to get up, the door suddenly opened. Seeing his sister, Chris's heartbeat suddenly increased and he felt happiness and something else. Chris could only guess that these were Aaron's feelings and he started thinking how to explain his miraculous return from death.

Before he could say anything, He was tightly hugged by Laura.

I thought you were...but how?, Laura had tears in her eyes while Chris was almost undergoing a mental breakdown since this was the first time he actually had a warm contact with someone other than his family. Besides, Those were really huge and he was now suffocating in that tight embrace and he also felt the pain from his wounds getting worse.

Not wanting another trip to the after life so soon, Chris gasped for air and muttered La..ura.....

ohh.....Realising she had been holding him too tightly, she quickly let go of him and turned her head away embarrassedly. She seemed to have remembered something which made her flustered and hide her face with her hands.

As Chris settled in a comfortable position and calmed down, he looked at the pretty girl and was surprised to see her weird reactions. Isn't it normal for siblings to hug though, Why should she be embarrassed for it?, My sister used to always hug me like a teddy bear (especially when she had some favors to ask) back at home. Sigh.....I miss them. To prevent any further awkwardness, Chris asked Laura, How is Mother and Father?

Laura now regaining her icy demeanor replied, Mother fainted after she heard the news of your death and Father has been accompanying her and the preparation for your funeral was underway as we were gonna release the news of this incident, but you unexpectedly woke out of nowhere and scared the hell out of those who were gathered over there. It took me much effort to convince them that by a mysterious master's elixir whose effect was delayed and your miraculous luck, you were able to survive to survive and you were not the reincarnation of some demon.

Hearing this Chris's mind seemed to be working quickly, "This is indeed a cultivation world like those mentioned in the novels. I should better keep mine and Aaron's matter a secret or we would definitely be treated as the reincarnation of a demon which can be very bad".

This brings me to one question brother, I personally witnessed your pulse and the situation and you were surely dead, not that I'm unhappy, but how did you come back from the dead?

Dang...A killer from the first question itself. How the hell am I supposed to answer this, Chris started searching through Aaron's memories for an idea or at least a hint.

Wait....why can't I search through Aaron's memories from his childhood, Chris thought as he tried to keep his calm.
