11 Chapter 9: 1st String, Emperor's Eye and Momoi's in Love
-Few Days Later-
Today, the coach wants me to talk to him after practice, along with Tetsuya, Aomine, Akashi, Murasakibara and Midorima. I have a feeling I know what this is about, but I expected this to happen, after all, I watched the anime.
I've gotten a lot closer to the GoM, minus Kise (Not GoM yet, but cba to write all their names), and we even do 3v3 matches here and there.
-After Practice-
Coach Shirogane: "You 6 will be part of the first string, along with captain Nijimura"
Everyone: "Yes coach"
Shirogane: "Good, the first match is in 4 days, so be at your fullest strength at that time."
Everyone: "Yes coach"
-4 Days Later-
Our first Teiko match begins today, the opponent is some random school called Nambara Junior High, from what I remembered in the anime, they were relatively close in points to Teiko. Too bad for them I'm playing this time.
The starting line-up is Me as Power Forward, Aomine as Power Forward, Akashi as captain and Point Guard, Midorima as Shooting Guard, and Murasakibara, of course, as Center.
Both Centers of the team are chosen for tip-off.
*Whistle sound*
Murasakibara won the tip-off and passed the ball to Akashi who dribbled and noticed me and did a quick pass, which lead to an easy two-point lead as I drive and dunk.
2 - 0 (Team with MC will always be score on the left, keep that in mind)
This type of play carried on for the whole of the match, we decided to keep Tetsuya's misdirection for the next match, or the match after. The score eventually ended up being-
132 - 31
My Stats for the game was 5 Blocks, 3 Assists, 2 Steals, and 72 points.
The remaining points were scored by Aomine, Midorima and Akashi.
"That was a nice practice game" Momoi comes over to me and passes a towel to wipe off my sweat
Momoi: "Here"
"Thanks"
Shirogane: "That was a good first game, your next match is against Haranishi Junior High in 3 days"
Everyone: "Yes coach"
-Skip to match-
Shirogane: "The Starting Line-up for this match will be the same as last match, except Aomine will be swapped for Tetsuya, since I want him to show-off his Misdirection and shock the enemy"
Once again, Murasakibara goes for Tip-off against Haranishi, which he wins due to his abnormal height, the ball lands in my hands, and I pass to Tetsuya who does a quick pass to Midorima who scores a three.

Haranishi had no clue of what just happened, neither did the crowd.
Even though we decided to use Tetsuya's Misdirection for this match, we decided to keep his {Phantom Shot} and {Vanishing Drive} as secret weapons, for the latter opponents.
Now most of you people reading this might be thinking "Where's Haizaki?", Well, I took his position in the first string obviously, I mean, compared to me, he's trash so there was no point of Coach putting him on the 1st string team. And some of you might be thinking, "What about Kise then?" Well honestly, I have no clue, in the anime he joined during the second year of Teiko and wanted to play basketball when he saw Aomine play it, so maybe I'll 'accidentally' meet him and get him to join Teiko's basketball team somehow.
Anyway, back to the match, currently, I got swapped for Aomine, I wasn't tired or anything, coach just decided to put him on and swap him for me, which kinda pissed me off since I couldn't level up any skills at this point, but, I could use this as an opportunity to get a lot of levels for {Eagle Eye/Observe}, which I did, and managed to level it up by almost 2 Levels.

The score ended up being in our favour, unsurprisingly, making it-

The coach told us we no longer have any more matches and due to us being only first years, we couldn't play at nationals with the second and third years. (This most likely isn't true, but I'm on a fandom wiki and only found 2 matches that they played during their first year, so just made this up. Many things will be made up in the future, making it different to the anime which it already is)
I wasn't worried however due to the fact that Teiko was at finals right now, playing against a school called Katakiri Junior High - Made up.
Since we had no more matches, Coach allowed us, the first string 1st years, to play against the 2nd string consisting of 2nd and 3rd years.
I decided to sit out of most of the matches, to allow the future GoM to get some practice in and get better, so that I could have a challenge during High School. I've decided that I want Akashi to awaken {Emperor Eye} during his First Year, for my previous statement of wanting them to be stronger than their anime version before I died and reincarnated in this world.
After the Future GoM, Minus Kise, beat the 2nd string, I decided to challenge Akashi to a 1v1, with my reasoning being "I've challenged everyone else but you" Which in my head sounded like a stupid reasoning, but surprisingly he agreed with his response being "Sure, But I've never lost in my life and don't plan on it" Something like that.
We decided to do a quick first to 5 match, with him starting with the ball, he starts by doing a simple dribble, and then a crossover to get past me, going for a lay-up. As he jumps, I use my {God-Speed Impulse} and {Blocking} to block his shot and send him, ass-first on to the floor. I hurriedly pick up the ball, dribble to the three-point line, and do a simple jump shot and get a swish.

Akashi at this point started to get disheartened, I could see it in his face. Due to watching the anime, I understood that Akashi doesn't like losing, and and has never lost in his life, so at this point he didn't like the fact that I easily blocked his lay-up and scored a three-pointer like it was nothing.
He slowly got up, brushing off the dust on his shorts, and picked up the ball and walked back to the top of the key. His hair had covered his eyes like a hentai-protagonist, blocking my view of them, which unknowingly to anyone, started glinting with a speck of yellowy-orange.
Akashi passes the ball to me and with my {Handling and Dribbling} Skill (I decided to combine them) at level 16 due to levelling up after the 1st string matches, I decided to show-off a little by doing super fast cross overs, eventually dribbling the ball through his legs, causing him to turn around for the ball, but then I moved my arm back, causing him to break his ankles, I use this opportunity to look at him on the floor, smile, and then dunk, making the score 3 - 0.
As Akashi stood up once again, I could clearly see the clear Yellowy-Orange glint, slowly taking over his left eye.
-Akashi POV-
I've been observing the Teiko basketball team since joining, and I knew Shichiro was good, but I didn't think he was this good, was he hiding his real strength this whole time?
2nd Personality: No, I can't lose! I've never lost! Damn it Damn it DAMN IT! This bastard is definitely looking down on me, his captain, isn't he? I'll show him...
-End of POV-
At this moment, Akashi's left eye turned orange, this was the {Emperor Eye} That allows him to analyse every little thing, allowing him to predict future movements.
Akashi Dominant: "You bastard, how dare you belittle me.."
I start a new play once again, as soon as I did a cross over, Akashi stole the ball off me, and did a simple two-point jump shot making it 3 - 1
Akashi Dominant: "I'll show you what it means to defy me"
I pass the ball to Akashi who starts his play by walking and dribbling, he does a cross over, which should've been easily stolen by me, but right now, I'm sitting ass-first on the floor.
Akashi Dominant: "Everything I say is absolute"
This is the {Emperor Eye}.. what a scary ability.
Akashi once again scores a two-pointer making it 3 - 2
How can I beat his {Emperor Eye}? I didn't get to finish the Rakuzen vs Seirin match, and from what I remember, Kagami beat Akashi at one point due to him being faster than what Akashi could see.. What if I try and break my limit and speed up? (Cringe, I know)

Even though I lost, I still got benefits out of it-

I ended getting {Abnormal Speed and Agility} When I tried to break through my limits, which ended up working out. As for the next skill which I got at the end of the 1v1.. Man, That's OP... I only got to level it up once, as for the first skill, I got to level it up twice.

As much as I'd love to carry on challenging Akashi to try build up my resistance, I'll wait... I'll wait for when Murasakibara challenges Akashi , so that Akashi's non-dominant personality can take over for a while, so that Teiko's team doesn't go down the bin, and we lose nationals, causing me to lose access to the shop.
That was the end of practice and we all decided to head home.
(Cringe starts now, I warned you that I know nothing about romance)
I decide to go to the local shop near Teiko so that I can get a limited ice cream that they're selling today.
As I head in, I buy the final lolly they have in the freezer, Damn I'm lucky! I decide to use my sucking skills (Gay) and suck the ice cream until all of it's gone (Mc is so gay, damn)

I Look at the back of the stick and see that it has the kanji for 'WINNER' meaning I can get a free ice cream.
I look forward and see Momoi staring at other Teiko kids while they're having fun and sucking their ice cream. She looks a little sad so I decide to walk over to her.
-Momoi POV-
*Sigh* I'd like some ice cream too, but I don't have any money on me, and today's the only day they're selling it as well *Sigh*
I look behind me and see Shichiro Kuroko walking up to me
"Oh, hey Shichi-kun"
Shichiro doesn't say anything and just passes me an ice cream stick. Is this guy really just dumping his trash on me?
I turn the stick over and see the kanji for 'WINNER' that's worth one free ice cream. I'm in love (Someone insert that scene where there's an arrow through her heart)
By the time I look up to thank Shichiro, I couldn't see him and noticed he was gone.
-End of POV- Sorry for cringefest.
Author's notes:
-I've decided mc will go to Aomine's high school with Momoi as well
-I'll Timeskip to both nationals and Kise joining Teiko and the start of the GoM as well as 'The King of The Court'
-I'll sometimes do short POV's or chapters of Tetsuya at Seirin with Kagami and the others
-Unlike the anime, Aomine will still be close to Tetsuya, and mostly Tetsuya only, due to being close to mc as they go to the same school
-Haikyu and Kuroko and will be 2 seperate fanfics, since more people want them to be seperate, so I'll start Haikyu eventually, or when I end this Fanfic, most likely the former option
-The update schedule for this is 1-4 chapters a day, depending on how I'm feeling that day
