9: "Here's an option. Shut your quiznack!"

Keith POV:

Keith went back to his house, and once he entered through the door, he thought back to that silly argument he'd had with Lance. A grin spread across his face as he shut the door, and he started laughing, unable to stop. They had been so stupid! Lance hadn't proved him wrong. He thought the guy was kinda off course, but he also thought Lance always got back on the right course eventually. First, he'd argued. Then, he'd collected himself for a minute, before trying to kick Keith in the crotch, and having it backfire, so Lance had received the kick instead. Then Keith had left. He decided that, their first hangout together, actually hadn't been too bad. Lance was very funny, nice, but needed to work on his ego. He was too bubbly sometimes. With that thought in mind, he decided to take a quick shower, and started preparing his clothes.

Lance POV:

"M-Mama!" Lance stammered, nervous and scared. It was always bad when your mother found you sneaking back in. Why, oh why hadn't he learned anything from the movies?! There was always some sort of trace left that the main character forgot about or thought no one would notice. His mother held up a piece of paper from her seat on the couch next to the lamp. "Aren't you going to answer me, young man?" Crap-the note! How could he forget? He hadn't said where he was going because he hadn't known. And he didn't say what time he'd be back because he also hadn't known either. Lance scratched the back of his neck, looking rather sheepishly at his mother, and said, "I-I'm sorry, I was hanging out with my new friend, and we lost track of time and I had to walk home and you look amazing and I love you, Mama!" She sighed, and stood, shaking her head. "Just.....let me know where you'll be and when you'll get home next time, ok, mijo?" She asked of him, crossing her arms. He nodded. "Don't think you're going unpunished though. After school tomorrow, you are going to be babysitting your cousins." Lance tried not to groan in annoyance. His cousins were small, and young, sure. But that didn't mean they were always nice and cute. His cousins were all demons, trouble makers, mischief causers. You name it, and that's most likely what they were, but nothing really came close enough to describing them. "Alright, Mama, and I'm....I'm sorry, again. Heh." She engulfed him in a hug. "Just....go to sleep, or study, maybe." He hugged back. "Yeah. I'll do that." She pulled away from him gently. And rolled the paper up then hit Lance on the head with it. "Go before someone wakes up." And he fled to his room for the night.
