He cannot believe he died in such a manner, now due to that he is floating in a void. He never was that religious, though he recalls stories told by his mom. As he floated text appeared in front of him.

She blinked at her status, accidentally making it vanish. She was never that into games or anything like that. So she had no idea what her stats meant, though some where kinda obvious. She also had the sneaking feeling that someone is supposed to start at level one.

Hotaru figured she would need to wake up and find out more, hopefully she could find someone to aid her with this. She then realized she is floating in some sort of fluid and it is draining now.

She blinks as light suddenly blinds her, she then notices she can feel her body as a cool breeze blows across her skin. Her eyes finally adjust and it looks like she was in some sort of pod, that reminds her of a pea pod sized up to person size.

Once outside of the pod Hotaru looked around, She is in what would look like a large forest. The main thing that changes that is the white walls she can see in the distance and the caretakers walking around monitoring the other pods in the forest with some sort of scanner. One saw that she is there and approached her.

"I see you have awakened, greetings traveler you have been reborn on the world Unda. This is an academy world made to aid travelers and the brightest of the empire. Please follow me so we can get you dressed and settled, any questions will be answered in a bit so please be patient. Oh, my name is Joy."

Joy blushes as she almost forgot to introduce herself, getting a smile out of Hotaru. Joy is a human from what Hotaru can tell and stands about 1.6m tall with pink hair in two side buns. She is dressed in a green form fitting body suit that has the word Gaia on the back of it.

They soon stepped through a sliding door into what looks like a large changing room. Joy went over to a table with black body suits on it, she grabbed one and offered it to Hotaru. "This will do for now, once you have your room you will be able to request clothing in your style from the replicator.

These are actually quite durable and comfortable. You will see many people wear them under clothing, or even just with some extra accessories. You will be signed up for a class to go over the basics here and they will help you decide on your future.

There will be a expert waiting at your quarters and they will field any questions you have about your race and tell you a bit about the culture of it. Travelers like yourself are valued by the empire, if you have any needs they will be met so do not hesitate to ask.

Now I did promise some answers, first let me tell you about the room we just came from. Those are pods of Gaia, a very valuable lifeform and a poorly understood one. They let travelers be born and can be used to heal someone. Medical technologies have advanced to the point the healing aspect is redundant though.

I cannot answer any question connected to classes, race, current location or anything connected to your body. I lack the needed knowledge to do so properly. Your body and race questions will be answered by the expert waiting for you. Most others will be handled during the class."

Hotaru nods at what Joy said then looks at the suit in her hands, she then puts it on. She is correct about the comfort of them, it hugs the body without rubbing from what she can tell. It also offers support, something Hotaru did not realize she needed.

"Most of my questions are on the topics you can't comment on or you already answered them. I still have one that kind of dances around the restrictions, well technically two. What is the normal average for starting stats and level?"

"While on the vague side I will do the best to answer. I am going to start with everyday citizens of the empire, they normally start at level one at 16yrs and have an average stat value near 10. nobles have the same level start and tend to have near 20 starting stats. Travelers tend to very greatly, with them it depends on who blessed them and how powerful that blessing is. You will need to wait on more details."

Hotaru nods, "no more questions for now. What is next?"

"Now I will take you to the expert waiting for you, please follow me." Joy then turned and continued walking to what Hotaru thought was an elevator. It is, Joy entered something in it to fast for her to see and elevator starts to go up.

Soon it stops, opening up to a white hallway lined with doors. Joy led the way to one of the doors with 420K on it. She then opened the door, she paused as she entered. "Lady Rosaniya Loranala, it is an honor to see you. Though it is an unexpected one."

Hotaru steps out from behind Joy and sees a beautiful blond haired elf. She is dressed in a black uniform with blue highlights on it along with somethings that look like awards and a type of writing she cannot understand.

Her piercing blue eyes turn to Hotaru as she comes into view. She then speaks, "ah Joy and our newest traveler, welcome. I know it is a bit of a surprise, me being here instead of one of the chroniclers under me. However due to her race and power I decided to do this one myself.

Certain people have already found out about her race, luckily she stepped in and put a stop to those who wanted to claim her as a breeder. Joy, thank you for seeing her here. Please take your leave so that she can learn what she needs to."

Joy nods to both of them and then leaves, clearly nervous. Rosaniya then motions Hotaru to a set of chairs in the room. As she moves to take a seat she looks around and realizes that the chairs and a small table are all that are in the room.

After both of them sit down, Rosaniya pulls out a clear orb and a tablet. "Place your hand on the orb, it will show me your name, level, class and highest stat. This will let me know where to place you and what you gain form the empire."

Hotaru nods and places one of her hands on the orb, noting that her nails resemble claws. The orb starts glowing, then a mini storm forms in it as Rosaniya's eyes widen for a moment.

"Very nice Hotaru, starting as a level 100 storm mage. On top of that your main casting stat is over 100, you are a powerhouse. You will be granted the title of knight due to you just meeting the requirements. You will also be granted the right to attend the imperial academy for magi free of charge."
