Life is an unexpected journey, all we have to do is waiting for the destiny to decide our destination.

After talking to Lord Benjamin, Kylie became so happy thinking that if she can really pass the test conducted by elite school, she can go to the school her mother always dreamed to send her.

She hopes that If she can fulfill the dream of her mother, at least in this way the regret of her can be lessened in the heart filled with agony.

Out of happiness, she is unable to sleep properly in the night, next morning before everyone waking up, she has woken up and started doing her work.

Watching that all maids started teasing Kylie, within no time Kylie won hearts of everyone in the house, as she is only youngest one among them even maids were so kind and warm towards Kylie.

"I think today sun rose in the west" head maid teased Kylie, "if not the girl whom I've to wake every day at least thrice, has woken earlier than me today and started working enthusiastically."

The other maids started laughing, Kylie pouted and twisted her little lips, "Kylie" Mr. Ray's words made everyone attentive, "yes, sir!" Kylie replied in humble manner.

"After completing your work, can you meet me in my room, dear?" Listening to it, Kylie nodded her head obediently.

Mr. Ray left from there, Kylie took a deep breath in relief, "did you do anything Kylie?" A maid questioned in concern, "no sister, I didn't do anything" Kylie replied in confusion.

"It's okay dear, don't be scared, Mr. Ray is the most generous person" head maid tried to comfort Kylie, with a smile Kylie hummed and completed all her work before going to meet Mr. Ray.

Standing in front of the door, she took a deep breath before knocking on the door, hearing the knock, Mr. Ray answered, "come in."

Kylie went inside the room, keeping head down, she greeted him politely.

"Do you know why I asked you to meet me?" Mr. Ray questioned in a deep tone, making Kylie panic.

Kylie shook her head as no, "no, sir, did I do any wrong?" Kylie was completely frightened, "If so, I'm extremely sorry."

Even her words were stammering, after getting scared like a kitten all she heard is, Mr. Ray laughing, she glanced at him calmly and again bent her head down.

"You're like my daughter dear, no need to be scared in front of me as long as you didn't commit any wrong, just raise your head" Mr. Ray tried to make Kylie to stop getting scared of him.

Kylie raised her head calmly and looked towards Mr. Ray, "the reason why I called you is, Lord Benjamin wants you to prepare for the test to get in elite school, for that, I'm going to help you with your studies" as soon as he completed his words Kylie's filled with extreme happiness.

"Are you ready to study under my care?" Mr. Ray questioned while raising his eyebrow, Kylie nodded her head as yes.

"Fine, then from today we will start your study, I'm very strict in study, so be careful" listen to his words, Kylie gulped in fear but still hummed.

Showing her set of books, Mr. Ray said, "then let's start" Kylie was shocked after seeing the books which are double in size compared to her.

"Do you know what you've to learn in order to pass the test?" Mr. Ray questioned with a serious look, for which like an innocent kitten, Kylie shook her head as no.

"Fine, I'll explain" Mr. Ray sighed, "history of empires formation, assembling of clans, background history of respected ancestors and founders of clans, moreover another topic important clear knowledge on herbs and medicinal plants to know differentiation between elixir and bane, last but most importantly magical formulas, not all magic is related to witches, few exists calculations and symbols to describe critics in spells and curses."

For a second, Kylie's head revolved around her, "who am I? What am I doing?"

"Kylie, are you okay, dear?" Mr. Ray's voice brought Kylie back to her consciousness, getting back to her consciousness, Kylie mumbled "should I study all these after going into school or should I study all these just to enter into the school?"

"You've to study all these just to get into the school because these are basics to know your capabilities in order to let you in the school" Mr. Ray said casually while sipping the tea from his cup.

"Omg! You're doomed Kylie" Kylie cursed under her breath, "are you planning to quit trying?"

Listen to him, Kylie instantly shook her head as no, "I'll never give up unless I try, I'll try hard no matter what."

Mr. Ray smiled as he was impressed by the stubbornness of Kylie, he smirked, "then shall we start?"

Kylie nodded her head as yes, Mr. Ray said, "as far as I noticed, I've understood that we have to teach you from the basics, so let's start from the basics."

While scratching her head like a kid, Kylie nodded her head.

"Tell me, what you know about magical figures and decoding of spells?" Mr. Ray glanced at Kylie.

"Umm, I don't know anything regarding those" Kylie gulped in tension, "I have only little knowledge regarding medicinal herbs and few more herbs."

Mr. Ray sighed, "fine, tell me about the herbs you know so far, not medicinal herbs, but the rare herbs used for special reasons."

Kylie scratched her head for a while, but started speaking, "for courage : Horseradish, Pepper, hives, Nettle, Basil ; for Love : cinnamon, Rosenberg, Sorrel ; for luck : Comfrey, Heather, Nutmeg ; for protection : peppermint, cinnamon, Marjoram, Angenka, Pepper, Garlic, Basil, Mint, Bay.

For fertility: Cinnamon, coriander, Mint ; for happiness: Cinnamon, Feverfew, Mint ; for peace : Lemon Balm, Clary Sage, Marjoram, Mint ; for travel: Caraway, Mustard, Parsley, Fennel, Dill ; for success : Marjoram, Rosemary, Saffron, Lavage, Bay."

"Awesome, just the way witches describe the herbs used on different occasions in the same way you remembered them" Mr. Ray was surprised by the memory of Kylie.

By giving few papers, Mr. Ray asked Kylie "do you know what is this dear?"

After noticing those papers, Kylie shook her head as no, Mr. Ray explained, "These are magical symbols used in the calculations and for decoding the ancient script along with curses."

Kylie twisted her lips into an 'O' shape in amusement, "practice them hard, tomorrow I'll test you personally" Mr. Ray informed Kylie beforehand for which Kylie nodded her head as okay and left from there by taking the books and everything.

The hardships to reach the dream of her parents got started in the life of Kylie, time decides whether Kylie going to give up or fight for her dream.
