4 Dinner
Pearl's POV
Andrew car stopped at a restaurant.
" Dinner " he muttered.
I replied with a faint hum. He opened the door and laid his hands for me to get out of the car, i was still feeling dizzy.
Mae left to buy some gifts for the anniversary. It was unplanned so i got nothing for them and she offered to help.
Andrew and my presence got the attention of the entire restaurant. People Murmured their insane thoughts making me feel nauseated.
After talking to the manager . He led us to a private area on the second floor. The waitresses greeted and led us to a table. Andrew pulled a seat for me , a courtesy i was not longer used to in the last five years .
He ordered all my favorite dishes and two of his .
" I really can't eat all this " i forcedly said .
" I know " he nodded gently.
" Then ..why did you order them "I wanted to complete the puzzle.
" I guessed your taste must have changed, choose any dish "he sounded gelid.
I shook my head slightly " thanks for everything "
He only nodded.
I took the Biryani and Gulan Jamun. I am a big fan of international delicacies especially indian. I was starving so i munched andd gobbled it without any étiquettes.
Our dinner was silent and delicious. I quickly washed and wiped my hands . Indian food taste better when you eat with your hands especially the rice and curry. Sending out an embarrassing bup in satisfaction.
He chuckled lightly " Still have not changed "
" What " i spoke confusedly.
" Your étiquettes are poor . " He spoke in gelid tone. He threw a warm gaze at me
I pretended to be upset . He lifted my chin and smiled faintly.
" Your still gorgeous, innocent and elegant " he said softly.
I was flushed and tired i could only smile.
At a corner a man played Lovely by Billie Eilish and Khalid . I hum the song silently.
" How is he treating you " he said wiping the corners of his mouth. Sometimes they drive me crazy with all their artocrat antics.
I paused for a while before adding " We are pretty good " i forced down a sip of my iced honeydew mint tea down my throat.
He stared at me in disbelief. Andrew snorted and changed the topic.
" I read a magazine about you . Designer of the year " he chuckled in between.
I blushed a little sipping my tea more " I wish, the nominations are not out yet "
" I really think you will win " he assured me . He took a sip from his bottle of water.
I laughed out loud. " My company is a firm compared to yours and the rest " i took another nervous sip. " It's impossible,i can't win except if the other companies brought out bad designs "
It was true my company was slowly getting off it's feet . Compared to Andrew's and Aziel's it's nothing.
He smiled faintly. He took out a paper napkin to wipe the corners of my mouth .
" If he hurts you just know I'm always there " he spoke sincerely. He ruffled my hair slightly.
I brushed the thought off and smiled gently.
He smiled back gracefully.
" We gotta go " Mae said the moment she walked in.
My gaze fell on his impenetrable gaze . " It's time " he stated paying the bills with his black card
I stood up awkwardly to say goodbyes. He stood up and pulled me into a tight hug .
" I love you " i heard him murmured faintly. I smile awkwardly at him before leaving with Mae Gu . I wasn't sure though, it's probably the alcohol speaking. The one I took, since he does not drink.
