Chapter 40. No talking

　　His amazing eyes seemed black at the lack of light. A sharp pain squeezed my heart, as I knew what I was going to say. The intensity of his stare almost prevented my words from rolling out.

　　“I think it is better if you keep your distance from me. I don’t think I am what you need,” I exhaled and bent my head down.

　　He lifted my chin and calmly responded, surprising me. “And how do you know what I need, Amy? I think I need only you.”

　　Then his lips crashed into mine. I was aroused and felt like crying at the same time. He had such a huge impact on me. The fact that I said to him that I don’t want him, and he still persisted in being with me...it made me overemotional.

　　“Jay?” I breathed between our passionate kisses.

　　“Yes?” he responded, his hands cupping my face as we stood on our knees on the sofa.

　　“I want you...NOW!” I whispered.
