Asterias knew that the maids were discomforted by what Ophelia spat at him. They often ushered him away, telling him that it was the madness that made her speak like this: this was not what she wanted, nor was this the woman that the maids had come to love. Sympathetic eyes stared at his mother and him, yet, he could not shake it off.
Malleable, he looked at his mother's state and felt nothing but frustration. His kind mother had vanished leaving the shell of this woman and soon enough, the white-haired male wouldn't even remember the kind mother that he had in the past. He would only come to see the Ophelia that haunted him even to this day.
