Confrontation ( II )

Inside the tunnel, Asterias dropped the pleasant smile on his face. The coiling bitter animosity circled around his head—he should have cut Allard's head clean off. It was completely irrational and he knew that his acumen was crowded with annoyance and humiliation. He had promised to get the flower, he was going to win—his father would have been proud of him. Yet, all of that had vanished in a second.

A blinding light had consumed him and luckily with his fast reflexes, he had managed to sink his sword into the dirt. Anchoring himself to the ground, Asterias had no time to reflect on the battle. He was blown back and luckily, he didn't hit the wall.

The surprise coloring Allard's face made his teeth grit as his fingers curled around his sword. How humiliating.
