159 [Bonus chapter] Jenoix's POV: Greedy

It was chaos. Jenoix cradled the young girl to his chest, her breathing ever so faint. Her expression was peaceful despite the poison running through her veins. He set her down upon a bed inside of the temple, a glowing light erupting from his fingertips.

Jenoix resisted the urge to laugh. Now, everything was perfect. Lumielle had helped him in more ways than one. Had she meant to do this? Did she mean to put herself in the line of fire? He wanted to smile, grin down upon the girl who had used herself as a battering ram for his success.

Did such a girl like her exist? He was practically salivating at the thought.

No. Jenoix thought to himself, as Aristele quickly ran to his sister. His eyes were wide, body trembling in fear as he clutched onto her hand. She would have never put him in such disarray. Alas, the fact that she had done this out of sacrifice made his blood sing. What devotion !
