23 Chapter 23: Sanyou Campaign '2'

Kyou En's Pov:

"Gwahh!!!" The Wei Soldier roared as he fell to the floor with his blood dripping on my sword.

'hmm... These Wei Infantry soldiers are weak... However the same goes for our side as it was mostly lower ranking commanders that were supposed to participate in this siege including a few thousand man commanders.' I internally thought as I looked around.

"However... Although weak.. with the amount of you people swarming all over here... It's no wonder that it's been difficult for the Qin to conquer this city." I said while looking to my side where there were Wei Infantry rushing to us trying to recapture this foothold.

"The only reason why we haven't taken this city yet is because you've been fighting against our weak forces... However now that I'm here... It's time to put an end to this!" I said loudly as the Wei soldiers started closing in on us.

"Shut Up You Damn Invader!!" A Wei soldier said while striking at me with his sword.

"KouRou will never fall to Qin Scum!" Another Wei said while thrusting his spear at me.

However I didn't even move or bring my sword to defend myself... I had no need to.

The moment the Wei soldiers brought their weapons to me and got into my reach.... They were instantly massacred by my soldiers.

"Zu Ra" I called out to my First spear who had his weapon stabbed on one of the Wei's face.

"My Lord?" Zu Ra replied while being ready to complete my order.

"Annihilate all of the Wei soldiers Infront of us while trying to make a path to head to the other sides... The Qin troops here can take care of the rest." I ordered my First Spear who immediately responded by killing more enemies.

"Yes Sir!" Zu Ra replied while thrusting his spear.

Now then...Where is she....

Mouten's Pov:

"So that's the strength of the Kyou En Unit..." Mouten said a bit stunned before opening his mouth again and smiling.

"The Rumors weren't exaggerating at all..." Mouten said while smiling.

'No wonder even father praised him... We'll have to put more effort if we want to become a Great General with a competitor like him...

"What do you think... Ouhon?" I asked Ouhon wondering what his opinions were after seeing 5 thousand man commander, Kyou En's unit... especially those spear men at the front... They're not normal.

"... Those Spearmen leading the unit... Are incredibly skilled... Especially that flashy one.." Ouhon said while looking at Zu Ra.

".. I'm not sure if I would be able to best him in a duel..." Ouhon said something which stunned me a bit as I knew how prideful he was.

"However..." Ouhon continued as he gripped his spear while looking determined.

"The Gyoku Hou will soon surpass their strength!" Ouhon said while instantly killing 3 Wei soldiers with his spear.

Mouten's Pov:

Less than an hour later...

Most of the Wei soldiers slowly eliminated from our side as the Gyoku Gou and the Kyou En unit were slaughtering most of the enemies here.... The Wei were barely holding on at the beginning.. however it all ended when Kyou En started leading the front personally which increased all of Qin's morale while decreasing the Wei's.

I then look at Ouhon who seemed to have a plan which made me smile before getting nervous.

Crap

"We can't let the Gyoku Hou get ahead of us, Lets use this to our Advantage and open the gates at once!" I ordered my troops while charging forwar with my troops and try to take advantage of the Chaos that the Kyou En unit made.

Kyou En's Pov:

I managed to spot Kyou Kai quickly due to her attracting too much attention due to her skills which surprised me as she was stronger than I thought.

It also made me happy that I saw her have the ability to protect herself... While a bit sad that she won't need us much.

I soon left her area since she didn't need help and went back to my unit to finish conquering this city which turned out to be faster than I thought as it only took around an hour after I arrived... However It soon made sense to me as there were a few exceptional units like the Gyoku Hou, Hi Shin, Gaku Ka, Hyou's units... Not to mention thousand man commander Kaku Bi came at the end.

"5 thousand man commander, Kyou En entering" a soldier of the Mou Gou army shouted as I entered his tent after getting ordered to come.

"Hohoh, take a seat, Kyou En." An old man that had a strange aura said while sitting down.

"Thank You for the Honor, General Mou Gou." I said to one of Qin's elderly Great General.

"Hoh" Mou Gou smiling while nodding.

"Kyou En, Do you know why I had you come here?" Mou Gou said while a few of his officers were behind him standing.

"Is it because of my interference in this war?" I answered as I knew it was probably because of this.

"Hoho, Indeed... I had asked every high ranking commander to hold still for the cities at the border.... However you ignored that order and made movements without informing me.... Is there a reason for that?" Mou Gou said that while his officers looked at me sternly.

"Fu... Do not worry General Mou Gou, I only took 3 hundred soldiers with me and we've hardly had any losses...I merely wanted to see Wei's Martial Prowess and style for the future battles.... However it is true that I didn't inform you... Therefore I must face punishment for it." I answered.

"H-How dare you tal-" One of Mou Gou's officers shouted in anger due to my way of speaking however General Mou Gou stepped him.

"Hoh? And what punishment do you think is suitable for you?" General Mou Gou said while eyeing me.

"... I ignored your order and took part in the Siege... Therefore I believe that it is right for me to not take any credit for any of the contribution I did in Kourou city." I said while smiling.

"You think a punishment like that is enough for ignoring the commander in chiefs orders?!! Know your place!" The same officer from before said as he shouted."

However I didn't reply to him and just continued waiting for Mou Gou's answer which came quickly.

"Hohohoh, Very well... That will be your punishment.. however if you ignore my orders again then I will strip you of your rank." Mou Gou said after chuckling in a high pitched sound.

"Thank you for your generosity, General Mou Gou." I cupped my hands and left.

"General, is it alright to let him go like that?" An officer of Mou Gou said.. however Mou Gou just shook his head.

"It's true that he defied my orders, however he helped us conquer the city and lessened the casualties we could've lost... I actually wanted to give him a reward but I can't due to it being unfair so It's better to let him go with a small punishment so people don't complain." Mou Gou explained to his officer before sipping on his wine.

Kyou En's Pov:

Great General Mou Gou.... He really is something else... His ability is definitely inferior than normal great generals... However he has something... What an eccentric old man.

I'm currently walking in the city that we captured ....

'It's always a disgusting sight.... This is why I hate invasions with big armies.... Stuff like this always happens' I thought while looking at some people assaulting and harming innocent people.... I've already gotten used to this sight... However it's still something that disturbs me.

After a few minutes of walking, I saw a shocking sight as I found an old man beating up a girl that seemed to be around 10 years old and a boy that looked even younger... He seemed to be trying to rape the girl but the boy was defending her which irritated him.

.... The old man couldn't stand it any longer and drew his sword to take the young boy's life... However I quickly opened my mouth to stop him.

"Stop!" I shouted at him while walking to him which made him annoyed and look back to me.

"What?!!! Don't tell me what to do!" The old man shouted before putting his hands on his chin to think.

"Oh I see! Hehe, you also want to have fun? Too bad, you'll have to wait for your turn after I'm satisfied hehe " The old man said while laughing creepily which angered me a bit as I couldn't believe he was doing this to a 10 year old looking child.

I then look at the children who seemed to be hugging each other while shivering... They seemed even more frightened after my appearance which made it worse for me as I couldn't calm down.

The old man seemed to think that I agreed so he was about to take his pants off but I stopped him once again.

"Oi" I said with my face all dark to which he looked back and quickly fell on his back looking frightened.

"H- what?!" The old man said looking frightened.

"If you don't scram right now... Then don't blame me for what's going to happen to you." I said as I drew my sword which made him frightened a bit but he seemed to be angry that he got scared and also drew his sword.

"Y- You Dare! This girl is mine, Don't you dare tell me what to do!" The old man said while slashing at me... However I just stepped to the side and cut of his arm.

"Huh?" The old man seemed shock and looked at his arm before realising the reality of the situation and started screaming.

"HEE- Haaa My Arm!!!" The old man screamed in pain while crying.

... However I wasn't done with him as I started walking to him.

He seemed to realize me walking to him as he quickly started crying and begging me.

"Stop! Please, I'll leave right away and never get in your way again, You can have the girl and have all the fun you want with her, Please just spare me." His words annoyed as I couldn't believe he could spout such nonsense like that.

"Pathetic" I bluntly said before slicing his head off.

"Hee!" I then hear some freightened noices which reminded me of the kids once again.

I then walked to them which scared the hell out of them as they hugged each other even more... However I didn't do anything and just smiled at them while patting them in the head.

"It's fine now" I said softly while smiling... However instead of being calm.. they only showed anger.

"Y- You, It's you're fault that mom and dad died! I hope you guys suffer and feel pain for eternity!" The boy who Shou be too young to understand the situation said while stuttering although his hatred to us was clear with his eyes.

"Heh" I just smirked a bit which made his sister pick him and and put him behind her as she crossed her arms to me.

"Don't talk Ko!" The girl said before looking at me nervously.

"Please don't harm my little brother... I'll do anything you want." The girl said something which irritated me even further as she was only 10 years old and shouldn't be saying stuff like that....

What a cruel world we live in.

"Girl.. do you hate me?" I asked the girl which confused her before she answered honestly.

"Yes... I hate you people a lot... If it weren't for you guys then our parents wouldn't have died and we'd be able to continue living in peace!" The girl nervously said in the beginning before blatantly showing her disgust to me.

...I then turn around which surprised her but soon got her frightened as she saw me walking to pick the old mans sword while going back to them.

"You said you hate me right?" I asked the girl.

"N-No-" the girl started to get nervous while still having her arms out not wanting anything to happen to her brother.

"Fu... Here take this... You take this as well boy." I handed a dagger I had in my possession to the girl while giving the sword to the boy.

"Huh?" They were both shocked and confused as they took the weapons I gave them.

"From now on... I will take care of both of you two... If you hate me then use that to kill me with it... Those weapons will help you get your revenge.... however until then... You two will be my property." I said to them while smiling while both of them were nervous and confused.

"... What's your name" I asked the girl.

"R-Ri Ka." The girl replied.

"It's a nice name. What about you boy." I smiled while looking at the boy who seemed a bit afraid.

"Ri Ko" the boy said with anger while his fear still being evident.

"Ok.. Ri Ka, Ri Ko... You two will follow me now." I said while grabbing their hands to which they reluctantly accepted.
