22 Chapter 22: Sanyou Campaign

In a luxurious room decorated with many things and a large bed... There was a newborn baby with green eyes crying loudly.. he seemed to be waiting for something as his hands were reaching out to the doors side although he couldn't move.
... It was until a few minutes later that he stopped crying and laughed instead as he saw a blonde female Infront of him.
"Ren... Are you afraid?... Let me stay with you until you fall asleep." The blonde woman said while smiling happily as she looked at her son who seemed to have gotten her features.
This child was Ren... The first son of the Kyou Family!

Kyou En's Pov:
"Are you heading out tomorrow?" A soft voice reached me.
"Mhm... This campaign will also be a big one... It'll probably be a while until I come back..." I said as I looked back to Rei.
"..I see.. make you sure you come back fast.. it hasn't been a while since Ren was born after all... You don't want your son to lose you right? Rei said teasingly before hugging me.
"Mhm... Rei.. don't worry... I will try my best to stay at home now... I already have a plan..." I said as I thought of my son...
My son is a great comfort to me and I named him after my father.
I can't have Ren experience what Yi did... I will come back alive no matter what!

"Keke... This castle sure has gotten a lot bigger...it looks a lot different from what it previously did." He Ya said as he drank some wine while walking a bit behind me as our troops were gathering Infront of the city of Sai.
"Ineed it has... Sai will only continue to evolve from now on" I said while smiling as I took the wine bottle from He Ya and drank some to He Ya's dismay.
".. don't drink wine when we're about to leave brother..." Yi said as he shaked his head.
"Haha.. Sorry about that" I said while touching the back of my head.
I then looked around me and saw my citizens and family around us wishing us good luck.
"May Fortune be with you Kyou En sama!" An old lady Infront of the others said as she cupped her hands.
"Heh, you don't need to tire yourself by coming here granny Ko." I said while looking at an old woman that helped me a lot ever since my parents died.
"Nonsense! I'm still not at that age yet!" Granny Ko said before coughing a bit.
"Heh... You take care of yourself as well Granny Ko.. don't worry.. we'll all be fine." I said while reassuring Granny Ko.
"Kyou En sama... Do you really have to go to war?... Haven't you done enough.." another worried old man said while looking sad.
"That's right! Why do you still have to go when you've already contributed so much!" A young girl said.
"Those selfish bastards only care about their own interests and won't stop until we're all dead! We just want to live here peacefully!." An old man with a scar in his left eye said in a hoarse voice.
".. Why don't you just refuse their order Kyou En sama..." A young innocent boy said before his mother hastily put her hands on his mouth.
"Forgive this child Kyou En sama! It was my faul-" The mother quickly said before I stopped her.
"It's fine... Let him speek freely" I said while smiling a bit.
"But..." The mother was still hesitant.
I just sighed while felt incredibly happy inside as I saw how they all cared for me.. They don't even hesitate to talk bad about the officials if it's for me even though it could get them marked with treason.
"Don't worry everyone... This war will be the last one... After this war... We shall all live peacefully here..." I said as I looked at my people who started to show wide smiles.
'... Yes this is it.... What I really wanted wasn't to become the Greatest General... It was for this... I wanted to create a Haven for the people of Sai!.' I internally thought as I remembered the past me who wanted to become the Greatest General...
I then went back to my horse and started riding with the rest of my troops behind me.
"Let's All come back Alive!" I shouted to my men.
"Yes Sir!!!."

I am currently in Great General Mou Gou's army which just arrived at Kourou city with his 80 thousand man army.
Kourou city... It's between the borders of Qin and Wei so it'll definitely be stronger than most other cities behind it... However it's only a matter of time until it falls considering our numbers.
However it seems like we won't be fighting right now since General Mou Gou came to me as soon as I arrived and informed of how he wanted me to reserve my troops right now and keep them fresh until we reach Sanyou.
General Mougou already split his troops into 3 big armies of over 80 thousand.... With an army of this scale... I doubt there'd be much trouble... However it all depends on the action of that man who is staying in Wei right now....
"Sir Kyou En." A voice came from behind me which disrupted my thoughts and made me look behind to which I saw my advisor Kei Ou calling me.
"What is it?" I said in a dry tone.
"I was wondering about a certain enemy that we might face in this war..." Kei Ou said while pondering.
"... Are you referring to Zhao's Great Heaven Renpa...?" I said while thinking if Kei Ou had the same worry as me.... If that man interferes then it'll be hell for us.
"No." Kei Ou shook his head which made me curious a bit as I didn't think there'd be any other troublesome enemy.
"Who is it.?" I said.
"... It's not certain that he'll come to this war to stop our invasion.. however considering the scale of this war and the importance of Sanyou... I doubt they won't have him participate in this war.... After all it's none other than Gan Ou who defeated us!" Kei Ou said while thinking of the previous war that we lost.
!!! Ganou... I seemed to have forgotten about him even though we just fought them last year and lost....
It's true... If Gan Ou joins the war then he could be a variable that could change the scales of the war... However if it's just him then it'll be fine as Great General Mou Gou's liteunants aren't to be underestimated...

"Kei Ou! Where is Yi?" I suddenly asked Kei Ou which startled him a bit as he did not expect that.
However he instantly changed his face back to normal and smiled.
"Ah, Yi sama said that he wanted to check the Hi Shin Unit's progress so he went over to their position to watch them." Kei Ou said while smiling although he seemed to sweat at the end.
... That bastard really thought he could deceive me by saying that he wanted to watch their progress?
.... He definitely went their for Kyou Kai... Although I don't want to get angry at him since he's probably there Incase something happens to her.. however he's making it so obvious at this point.
I just sighed and had Kei Ou bring him back before going to my tent to rest.

"They still haven't conquered this city.... What do you think Yi?" I asked Yi while wondering why they still haven't captured it even after 10 days...
Yi seemed to also be surprised but commented on his thoughts.
"I think.. that General Mougou is playing this safe and is trying to conserve his troops instead of losing too many... Although it seems like a bad idea since it's wasting time...
Hmm...
"Enough! We can't take too long on one city... We shall also help out." I said while standing up which surprised Yi.
"But General Mougou wanted us to preserve our for-" Yi said although he couldn't finsih his sentence since I interrupted him.
"Don't worry... We will only go with a few hundred soldiers... I also want to see how the Wei fight." I said not leaving any grounds for discussion while leaving my tent.
"Zu Ra, Gather 300 Of the Kaminoirkari unit including the spears and follow me." I gave my first spear an order before heading closer to the city...
"Yes Sir!" Said Zu Ra who was wearing a gold helmet and Armor and seemed to be full ofl luxury.
'Oh?' I looked surprised as I saw a siege tower being used by some of the Qin soldiers which surprised me as I thought that General Mougou didn't want to waste too much manpower and resources on a city like this... Could it be a units siege tower then..?
Well it doesn't matter.
"Zu Ra... Are you ready?" I asked my first spear who just arrived next to me wondering if his preparations are done and we can move out.
"Yes Kyou En sama! We are ready to move out at any time!" Zu Ra said respectfully.
"Good... Let's go then" I said as I started heading to the siege tower... Although the siege tower seemed to be full of people trying to go in it... They all made way for me after realizing who I was which made things a lot faster. I internally thought while reaching the top and looking at my surroundings of both the Qin and Wei slaughtering each other.
I then grab a bottle of wine that I stole from He Ya and try drinking it all in one gulp while walking with my unit behind me.
There seemed to be someone that was decent with the sword and was killing the Qin Infront of me.... He eventually reached me ... However I just let go of my wine bottle which dropped to the ground and made some shattering noises while using my left hand to instantly draw my sword from my back and cut him down.
My appearance seemed to also shock some of the Qin units who looked at me in shock.

"Hey Ouhon... Is that...?" Mouten said while getting surprised a little as his face started to sweat a little.
"Yeah... I didn't think he'd come here... One look and I can already tell that he's in different league than us..." Ouhon said while looking at Kyou En.
