12 Chapter 12: Monster
Kyou En's Pov:
It hasn't been a long time since we won the war against the Wei.....
I was currently walking out of my units camp after having a talk with Hyou with me thanking him for the help he gave me for killing one of the enemy general's... I also gave him some tips that he could use since I'm sure that he'll get promoted due to his contributions for this war.
.... However it didn't take long for me to lose my luck and face a dangerous situation....
I am currently... In a bad situation forced by Duke Hyou.... to drink some weird wine...
I might enjoy drinking wine but this.... Is something else...
"Bahaha! That's some good stuff!" Said Duke Hyou smacking my back.
.... This guy just came back from drinking with General Ouki.... How can he still drink....
"I must say Kid... That was some big fire you showed me during the final combat against the Wei Hahaha!" Duke Hyou said before pouring me some wine.... Something he didn't let me refuse when I declined.
"... That was only possible due to the circumstances your army made....Go Kei also underestimated my strength greatly which resulted in his downfall." I replied before drinking some the win.... Which had an incredibly strong flavour.
I then continued drinking with Duke Hyou while talking about minor things for the night...

Kyou En's Pov:
It has been a year since the war I've had with Wei.... and I am now a Four thousand man commander .... My unit has also had a big change to them.... They've all been developing and showing great improvements and could truly be considered an elite unit that could stall an army for some time.
Captain: Kyou En- 4000 man commander
(500 elite Cavalry troops directly under him)
Ga Rin - Liteunant -1 Thousand man Commander - All Elite Cavalry.
Shi En - Liteunant - 1 Thousand man Commander - 700 Cavalry and 300 Infantry.
Shuu Ki - Liteunant - 1 Thousand Man Commander- 500 Cavalry and 500 Infantry
Ryuu Yen - Infantry Commander - 500 Man Commander - All Infantry.

I am currently heading out from Kanyou... The Royal Capital of Qin... To Bayou...
Qin's Great General Mou Gou is currently invading Han with 200 thousand troops... and this has currently left Qin defenceless... something the Zhao army took advantage of to invade Bayou with over a hundred thousand soldiers...which is the Keystone City for Qin's borders next to the Zhao....
Therefore it was decided that Qin's Great General Ouki would be the commander in chief of this army.... This gave me a surprise as Ouki was thought to have been retired....
"Seems like the Zhao have awakened the Monstrous Bird once again... right brother?" Said Yi smiling while riding a horse besides me.
"Indeed.... However I did not expect the Zhao to do something like this at all when they shouldn't have any notable commanders worthy of leading an army this big...I feel like this war won't be our usual one Yi... Keep your guard up at all times.." I said while looking serious.

"Nfufu... It's been a while... Hasn't it? Kyou En..." Ouki said to me After I rode ahead of my unit to meet the Commander In Chief.
"Indeed it has..." I said remembering the time I got toyed around by him.
"So then? What's gotten you so worried?" Ouki said while looking at my face.
"... There's something up with the Zhao.... I'm here to warn you to be careful...." I said before leaving.
"Nfufu... Are you worried about me Kyou En? A shame I'm into older people nfufufu" Ouki said with a playful smile.

We have reached our destination which is Kan Plains.... A good location that would be worse for Zhao's Cavalries.
Me and my unit have been positioned in the center under Vice General Mou Bu who is the son of Qin's Great General Mou Gou and currently commans 20 thousand of the 40 thousand in the center.
"Heh... This will be an easy win under Great General Ouki" said on of the people in my unit...
"Zhao's got a bigger army while most of ours are conscripted and couldn't be considered to be actual soldiers...." Said another person looking worried.
"It's finally starting... huh brother?" Yi said while looking at me.
"Heh... Let's try to score some achievements and get promoted this war Yi... We're the Vanguard this time hehe"
"Everyone Charge!" Mou Bu Shouted
"Everyone, Our job is to support the conscripted people and reduce the casualties of them as much as possible!!!" I shouted to my unit before charging with the others... This is the job Mou Bu gave me and told me to do for the first day.
A few moments ago

"Heh, so you're Kyou En" Said A huge muscular figure.
"Vice General Mou Bu, is there anything I can help you with?" I cupped and said as I looked at Mou Bu.
"... Apart from My personal unit and yours... The foot soldiers under me are all conscripted people... They wouldn't be able to fight properly and our unity as an army wouldn't function... Therefore I will be using the first day to get them together.... However they are still inexperienced.... I want you to help them whenever they get in a tough situation." Mou Bu said while observing me with his sharp eyes.
"Yes Sir... however if my unit who is the only experienced one other than yours... Then wouldn't it better if we are also on the frontlines?" I said after pondering.
"Hmph! Don't underestimate the Power of I Mou Bu!" Mou Bu said before leaving.

Kyou En's Pov:
I really underestimated him... I thought as I saw him smashing those heavy units that intercepted us easily.
It seems like the enemy went defensive right off the bat... Just as Mou Bu said.... Hehe... Seems like he isn't all brawn....
"Shi En and Ga Rin Cover the right side.... Shuu Ki... Have your troops at the front just behind Mou Bu and lead the foot soldiers!" Yi shouted loudly and ordered my commanders.
Me and Ryuu Yen were a bit behind the others as we were trying to gouge the enemies and see if we could find any weakness in their formations....
This Ri Haku seems to be an expert in defence.... What a shame though... If that's all he amounts to....then it won't be an issue to deal with him.... Even my unit can Break through that formation with ease.

We have retreated a bit as the first day reached its conclusion and have gone back to our units camp.... It seems that due to our help.... Our army has had just a bit over 300 casualties.... Which is really good considering the scale of the battle....
However I am quite worried as the Commanding General of the Zhao forces.... Is that Houken.... Which I presume is the one that I saw 9 years ago.... The one that slayed Great General Kyou.... There is something wrong with this as that Monster isn't the type to command an army.... Not to mention Ouki becoming commander in chief of the Qin forces.... This war is truly unique... I thought before getting interrupted by loud footsteps.
"Vice General Mou Bu!" I said as I saw the person who was behind the sounds...
"Mhm... You did a good job on today's battle..." Mou Bu said as he still had the same look in his eyes.
"Thank you for your compliments" I replied.
"... Tomorrow you will be in the frontlines just behind me as we will be doing an all out attack against the Zhao!" Mou Bu stated before leaving without even listening to my thanks.
"Yes Sir!" I answered before going to Yi and asking him to prepare.

Second Day of the battle.
Kyou En's Pov:
"All troops Charge!!!" Mou Bu Shouted with the foot soldiers showing morale higher than ever.
"Lay the Zhao to waste!" I also shouted and charged beside Mou Bu's Unit.
Yi had Me and Ga Rin in the front this time with Shi En in the right side dealing heavy damage and Ryuu Yen on the left side doing the same.... Shuu Ki was also behind us to cover all of us...
We won't have to worry about our offensive power lacking with this formation hehe. I thought as I started to engage the enemies.
"The enemy dares to do the diagonal formation again... Kuku" I chuckled as I swung my Black Glaive causing the enemies Infront of me to be sent flying.... Ga Rin who was beside me did the same.... It wasn incredibly easy to push through the Zhao with our strength and Mou Bu leading the front....
However before I could rejoice.... The enemy seemed to have changed their formations and had their far left unit split of from the rest and flank us from the back which is currently open.... However I scoffed as the enemy still underestimated Mou Bu... I have begun to understand Mou Bu a bit as I have interacted with him a few times.... And something like this cannot stop him.
"All troops, Continue the Advance!!!" Mou Bu Shouted.
Kuku... Houken wasn't the only monster in this war..... Ouki and Mou Bu.... Are both monsters as well.....
"Ga Rin... Let's increase our pace a bit.... Shuu Ki can cover the holes that will created from our advance!" I said loudly before riding with my personal unit and slaughtering the Zhao with a speed equal to even Mou Bu's unit.
"Be Careful!! These aren't normal elites!!" A Zhao soldier said as he saw my 6 swords and 8 Spears beside me massacre everyone that came close to me.
General Ri Haku of Zhao soon had an army halt us while retreating with his other troops.... I then have my troops to use these confused Zhao soldiers as training since it was incredibly easy to kill them due to them having no high officer to command them which left them all confused.
Soon our army killed all of the leftovers that the Zhao had put here to stall us.
And Thus the war of monster's concluded it's second day with them getting ready for the next morning!
