9 Chapter 9

Kane could hear a loud knocking coming from the front of his house. He opened his eyes to where his door was. "Who is it?" the knocking stopped and he could hear Osborn say "A group of us are going to raid a caravan coming to the Iron Rose Kingdom. Rumor has it that it has captured beasts." Kane was excited by this after all he still needed a chance to be a bandit and this is that chance. "I will be right there" Kane jump off his bed to get changed.

"BOT what are the difference between the beasts of this world and animals?"

[Beasts could also be called monsters or demon beasts. They are not demons but are strong creatures that act like wild demons. They spend a lot of time killing and can be very dangerous. Some can even use magic. They can also go under the same classification as the things from the shop. SSS rank is a godly monster that could probably destroy a kingdom while F-ranks are hunted easily. There are many professions that specialize in hunting these beasts and some that even tame/raise them to ride or use for battle.]

"Wow ok so maybe we can get some beast mounts from the raid"

[The Host is correct. You can also summon beast followers or troops through the shop. The followers are more like beast companions while the beast troops are more for building up the army, tasks that require their power or strength, or as mounts. You do not have many beasts from this world unlocked yet though.]

"Looks like I need to meet some then," Kane said to himself.

[Correct the more you level up or the more you discover others in this world you will be able to unlock many more things. You still have a lot from this world though. Also, you can summon all the creatures from your world]

"Wait! Does that include dinosaurs?"

[Yes it does but like everything else they are expensive.]

"That's amazing! I have always wanted to see triceratopses. Also now that I think about it this world is huge and I do not know much. How does summoning a follower from this world work?"

[If you learn about someone interesting from this world's history and they have perished then it will unlock them for you. Also, you have some races unlocked but once you unlock more by leveling up, meeting them, or learning a lot about them then you can create your own follower. The same goes for troops.]

"Let me guess it's also expensive?"

[The Host should work harder so that money will not be a problem. Then maybe the system will not be wasted]

"Thanks for the tip BOT. It seems like you really care about me" Kane said sarcastically.

[You are welcome Host.]

"Whatever" Kane chose to end the conversation and headed to the front of the camp to meet with Osborn and the other bandits.

When Kane walked outside the gate he was greeted with pats on the back and hearty greetings. He could see Osborn but he did not see George or Sandford. There were 9 other bandits besides Osborn. They all had either rusted iron axes or long spears besides 2 who had bows plus a sheathed sword.

Osborn came up to Kane holding his 2 war axes. "You made it lazy!" Osborn teased Kane. "Yeah, I made it. I see you took to that I armor rather well." Kane said. "yeah It fits great," said the man. "All these ugly mugs in front of you are the people who could fit in it. That's why it's us going on this raid. We have to be careful because a group carrying beasts will be well guarded." Kane agreed with Osborn's statement. "I suppose it's time to go then," Kane said as he lifted up his morning star from the ground. "Which way we headed?" Osborn still looked surprised at Kane who could pick up such a heavy weapon so easily but he collected himself before saying "We are heading to the main road of the Iron Rose Kingdom so we have to be careful because it's busier. Not just with merchants and adventures but also with other bandits. Plus if that's not dangerous enough for you. then there is always a chance to run into wild beasts or beast tribes." Osborn then began to lead the group towards their destination on Kane's first bandit attack. Every man would remember their first bandit attack and Kane was sure that he would be no different.

Kane and 2 of the bandits with spears were hiding behind a group of rocks next to the main road. He was given the honor to be the one to stop the caravan and make the demands. The 2 spear guards would be on each side of him making sure the people wouldn't try directly opposing them. The 2 bow guards were on a small ledge that was overlooking the road. They would help support the bandits from afar. Osborn and the rest of the melee bandits were hiding behind a separate rock formation prepared to back up Kane and his group in case the caravan decided to fight back. All in all, Kane thought it was a decent plan. Hopefully, the resistance wasn't high and things would be as easy as the goblin village. Kane was ready to step in front of the caravan when it arrived and made sure the other 2 bandits were prepared.

"You guys ready?" the other 2 looked at him and nodded. They firmly grasped their spears and put on determined looks. Kane on the other hand was smiling. Even in the face of danger Kane still had fun and his first caravan robbing was like a holiday for him. Probably just like Christmas because he would be getting some gifts from this caravan. Then a group of 3 wagons could be seen being pulled by some oxen-looking creatures. 2 of the wagons had cages on them with strange beasts on them. The wagons were protected by a group of 5 horsemen in iron armor. They looked like mercenaries and the only weapons they had on them were swords. There was a merchant in luxury clothing in the front wagon along with 3 guys driving each wagon. Kane ran up to the front of the wagons to stop them along with the other 2 bandits by his side. "STOP! If you wish to pass please leave your cargo with me and my friends and you may leave!" He yelled with a loud and ferocious voice while the other 2 bandits pointed their spears at the mercenaries in the front. "You have 10 seconds to make your choice," Kane said to the merchant and his entourage.
