3 A choice to make.

The early morning birds singing throughout the large village.

It has been a couple of hours since he took a nap.

Both eyes slowly open to reveal light brown pupils.

As sunlight shines through his window and on his face.

{Good morning, General! Wakey Wakey!}

The general groans softly before sitting up and holding his head.

His head was hurting a little for some odd reason.

And turn his attention back to the window.

It was morning and the sun was rising up slowly from the horizon.

"Morning already?"

{Of course General! Time in this world is slightly faster compared to your world!}

He moved himself off of the bed and dust himself off.

A map suddenly appears in front of him and scans it.

It seems that the Weapon and Armor shop and Item and Equipment shop are still open.

The general lifted up his shirt to check his wounds and notice that they were gone.

{Oh! I almost forgot to tell you General! Whenever you rest and sleep for a couple of hours your wounds will eventually heal!}

The boy touches where the cuts and slash wounds would be.

This General class is particularly more useful than a hero class.

Which reminded him of the past when he was transferred into an unknown world to become a hero for that kingdom.

He groans in displeasure at the memories and put his shirt down.

A sudden knock on the door caught his attention.

The door open to reveal Ruby, who pokes her head inside the bedroom.

"Hey General! I made you breakfast."

The general smiled at this thoughtful child.

She walked over to the table across the room and place the plate of food and drink on it for him.

"How much would this be?"

The general asked curiously.

She shakes her in response.

"This is for free."

He raises his right eyebrow at this and approach the table and took a seat.

Taking a fork and using it to take a bite of the omelette.

Surprisingly, there were cheese and all sorts of ingredients inside it.

"Mmh!"

The general said while taking another bite again.

Ruby watches with a warm smile and a blush appearing on her face and giggles at the scene.

He stops to sip some fruit juice in order to swallow the food easier and chuckles.

"Let me guess, you made this?"

The general asked with a smirk.

She nodded while placing her hands together to her lips and swinging body gently side to side.

"I like it, Nice job."

He said afterwards and places his hand on her head and brushes her hair gently again.

The smoothness of her hair felt silky and soft which was pleasant.

"Hehe~"

{Hey, General! Don't forget about the Shops!}

He stood quiet for a moment.

"Thank you Ruby, but I have to get going."

She frowns slightly at the news and grip on her dress again.

"Will I see you again?"

The general thought about it and looks over his shoulder to stare at the horizon.

"I will."

He turns his attention back to the young waitress with a warm smile.

"Yay! Thank you General and I'll be sure to make as much food as you like!"

She said almost out loud with full of joy and jump into his chest with a strong hug.

He almost lost his breath and thought his ribs would break by her sheer strength.

"Ha-ha! No problem."

The girl eventually lets go of him and sheepishly smiles.

After a few minutes of finishing his breakfast and feeling filled, he got up from his seat and took out his Iron helmet when Ruby wasn't looking.

The general watch as she picks up the empty plate and cup and bows to him before exiting the bedroom.

{She sure is friendly General! I think she likes you.}

The boy sighed and place his Iron helmet on.

That comment reminded him of the girl he thought that loved him basically betraying him.

"Anyways, Map."

The map appears in front of him and scans the location he was in before exiting the room to leave The Rosy Leaf Inn.

A few adventurers were also behind him.

One of them talking to one of their fellow friends.

"Yeah, it's been chaotic that The Adventurer's guild is trying to hire any available helping hands that is able to fight and defend themselves for a big event for something."

The general didn't dare to turn his head and see who it was that was speaking.

But kept continuing to walk downstairs while listening.

"What exactly is the event?"

A male voice replied.

"Some kind of Goblin and Skeleton quest."

As much as he wanted to listen some more, he had to keep walking unless he wanted to seem awkward.

"Bye General!"

A young girl's voice said.

This caught his attention and turn around in order to see Ruby with her parents.

The Adventurer's he was listening to begin to pass by him carefully while still talking to each other.

The general notice a beautiful woman standing next to a muscular man who had his arms crossed.

Both of them smiling at him.

The general waved back to her and them before exiting the Rosy Leaf Inn.

{You should probably get to know her parents General!}

"Sure, when I come back again."

The general response to the system.

A lot of people were showing up in the village.

The day just started and he wanted to make sure that it counts.

First was the Swords and Armor Shop.

Afterwards it will be the Items and Equipment.

The plan should work out and the gold that he had should be enough for himself.

He approaches the Swords and Armor shop entrance door.

Opening it and entering inside.

The place was neat and various weapons and armor on display.

"Ah! A customer! Welcome! Welcome! If you see anything you like then please let me know what you are buying and I'll be sure to help you."

A tall muscular man said while beaming a happy grin.

The general nodded to him and went to inspect the armor and weapons.

It's been a couple of minutes in the shop.

The boy pick out a couple of pieces of armor.

Mostly for his torso and legs and arms.

{These will do well for you General!}

The owner of the shop notices him.

After carrying a few boxes in the back room.

It seems that the boy finally chosen his gear.

"Ah! Nice choice of Armor."

The owner said while watching him place the stuff on the table.

"How much will they be?"

The general asked curiously and stared.

"Hmm, A set of Armor chest and Arms and legs... 150 Gold!"

The general looked into his pouch and wonder how much Gold did he even had left.

He probably should check it before leaving.

But it was too late for that now.

{Don't worry General! You have enough Gold Coins to almost buy the whole place! The total of your bank is 200 Gold coins.}

The boy sweat drop at the side of his forehead if the system was being sarcastic or joking.

Buying the armor pieces would leave him about 50 Gold coins left.

The owner notices his behavior of hesitation and smiles widely before laughing.

"I see! So your short on Gold coins huh? How about registering as an Adventurer or as a Mercenary? They receive a nice amount of payment for rewards."

The general thought about it in silence.

If he registers as an Adventurer there could be benefits.

But Mercenaries possibly earn more gold coins and have less restrictions compare to the Adventurer Guild.

"Thank you, but I will pay them anyway."

The general took out amount of 150 Gold coins and place it on the table and begin to put the armor on one by one.

The shop owner happily took the Gold coins and bow to him.

"Thank you for your purchase, please come back again if you ever need anything else."

The general nodded in response without a word.

He started to check and observe himself in the mirror.

{Rank 2.}

{HP: 100/100}

{Armor: 100/100}

{AP: 10.}

{Strength: 10.}

{Speed: 10.}

{Intelligence: 10.}

{Available Soldiers [8].}

The boy nodded in satisfaction.

"Have fun kid! Don't put yourself at risk out there!"

He begins to exit the Sword and Armor shop.

Waving back to the Owner who started waving goodbye.

Now that he had protection.

The general didn't need to worry about getting injuries so easy.

But now that he had only 50 Gold Coins.

He had no choice to register to one of the guilds in order to earn more Gold.

The Items and Equipment Shop had to wait.

"System... What do you recommend between the Adventurer Guild and Mercenary Guild?"

{Since Adventurer Guild benefits with leveling up and ranking progression and earning rewards for completion of many Quests! The Mercenary increases more with Benefits when it comes to Gold Coins and spoils of war and also being hired by many higher ups to do their dirty work or bodyguard duty.}

The general thought about it silently.

He moved himself away from the crowd of people in the village.

Lean against the wall and shuts his eyes.

He was a General Class with the ability to build and fortified his own army and kingdom if he ever wanted to.

What was the best choice?

Become an Adventurer and earn benefits the clean way.

Or join the Mercenary and earn benefits the dirty way.

He lets out a big sigh after thinking It through.

{Why not do both General?}

"Can I do that?"

{Of course general! It's possible.}

He stood quiet for a moment.

"Then it's decided."

The general begin to walk and check his map to find the location.

He would need to do his best not to catch too much attention.

That would make things difficult for him eventually.

But if he did it correctly, then he wouldn't have to worry.

He also didn't have to worry about being in a team group.

Considering that he can spawn his own soldiers.

Which he was quite excited to test out soon once he left The Village Forest.

{There it is General! This is the place!}

The General was taken back from the sheer size of the building in front of him.

5 Story large and tall building.

With a large board that shown a symbol.

A Sword and Shield and a Long sword in the middle.

Which was The Adventurers Guild.

"Maybe this was the right choice after all."

The general observe the building and saw the movement of figures passing by the windows in the building.

It looked like an office business considering the amount of people in fancy suits entering and exiting the building.

Strange for an Adventurer Guild.

{Let's do this, General!}

The boy nodded and begun to walk towards the entrance of the large and tall building.
