Chapter-8 (Bits by Bits)

I stared on Moira's face before looking back to Martha.

I still want to know more about what she has foreseen, but I guess it can wait after this fiasco all clear up.

Damn that Godly king!

I hate it when things force on me. This scene almost resembled the moment I met Dalton.

At that time, I tried my best not to give in with the magical pull, but in the end, we still end up marrying each other.

Damn! I miss him..

I wish I could be back again in his arm.

If only this damn King didn't show up in my life, I would still be with my one true love.

I can't even understand how he got so lucky to gain access to a rare book that gave him absolute power beyond any of our kind.

I can't believe that he's the last remaining King, and his demise will end our existence. It's hard to admit, but I have to protect him.

But nothing will change the first impressions he mold in my hear.

In my eyes, he's a selfish, self-centered blood-sucking creature.

I hate him the moment he hurt my love ones and un-bond me to my real mate.

His treatment towards me wasn't even showing how a King should be treating his kind.

Martha and I stood out of the bed and walked to the door.

Moira push the door widely and walked in front of us.

She lead us to the stares down to a spacious patio. The castle is a beauty representing regality and history, If things didn't turn out like this, she would admire it more, but the fact that's this castle is a reminder that it's a cell restraining our freedom I push my admiration aside.

Following Moira's lead, we saw her turns to her right and glance at us when she stops in front of a large oak door.

Using her both hands she open the door revealing a beautifully adorn Comedor,

in the middle of the great dining hanging a sparkling chandelier.

Sitting at the end of the table was the Godly King, who was staring at me intently.

I felt a shiver run down my spine when our eyes met, and I quickly narrowed my sight elsewhere, not liking how my body reacts on his stare.

Damn mate thing!

"My Lord, they are here," Moira announce, making me smirk.

She doesn't need to announce our presence because that Lord already knows and even saw us the moment she open that damn door.

Jeez

What's up with the formality?

It's not like we're in a medieval time. For goodness sake, we're living in the 21st century?!

"Sit," he command that bring me back to the present.

For a brief moment, those old movies made by mortals about how the rich, landlord, Earl, king, and queens regards with high respect went flashing inside my head.

Urg?! I rolled my eyes, hating how things is going on.

Following the Lord's command, I was about to sit next to Martha, but to my surprise, a hand halts me again, and I am pressure to sit next to him.

I pulled my arms back and sneered to Moira.

"Will you stop forcefully yanking me around?!

Damn it!

I can walk by myself. Just tell me where I need to be." I shouted out, my eyes glistening, ready to fight back if this vixen tries to hurt her. When she didn't do anything, and she's somewhat in dazed, staring straight to my eyes, I call it off.

I was about to pull the chair in front of me, but surprisingly, Moira snap out of her stupor and forcefully grab my arms again.

"You better be careful with your words, woman. I-"

"That's enough!" That Godly King's voice boom inside the dining hall, cutting the words that Moira was about to say.

Quickly Moira let go of me and bow her head.

"Forgive me, my lord. I shall take my leave." and with that, Moira left, and I can finally can sit without somebody halting me.

"Eat," he command it was then a man in a waiter uniform appear out of the darkness lighting up the dinner candle in the dining table And bringing a human food for us to eat.

I glance up at him. My brows are fused, not understanding why the hell we're going to eat human food when, in fact, where all not human.

I mean to me it's not a problem.

I love eating human food. I'm accustomed to it since birth

but to them and with this King?

I can't understand it at all.

Their meal is supposed to be fresh blood, not like this.

When the attendant came backfilling our empty glasses with crimson liquid, I grimace, thinking it might be blood.

But once the exquisite scent of crimson liquid poured in my glass, I was in awe.

It wasn't blood but red wine.

No. To be exact, it was a Rose Wine.

A small laugh escape my lips.

I glanced at him in amusement

"So, are you always like this all the time? Tell me, did you missed your old life? In your heart, did you regret the biggest mistake of your life?" I mock him, which made his silver eyes glisten in the darkness. He clench his teeth while his hand form in a fist.

I wanted to taunt him more satisfied with his reaction, but the pleading look on Martha's eyes took my attention that made me stop.

Somehow I saw a relief flood Martha's face when the Godly King let it slide and start digging in his food again like nothing happened.

After the meal, Martha and I ask to follow him in the other room, which look like an office room with a library inside.

The room has so many books in every corner, and its not just any old book but probably ancient books that perk my attention.

As a bookworm and a sucker for history, those books are more than worthy of reading.

One particular book caught my attention. It's embellish with beautiful ancient writing, and by the looks of this book, it is somewhat telling me that it is the Book of Knowledge that Martha has mention to me earlier this evening.

A tampered glass protected it, and there's a laser surrounding the book.

It would take a lot of bravery for someone who wants to snatch that book from him, and I bet he won't hesitate to kill somebody who tries to steal it way.

It is a pricey possession that money cant buy.

Its the origin of why humans and immortals exist.

I am brought back in reality when I heard him spoke.

"Martha, you are dismissed.

I'll talk to you tomorrow" He command with his face void of emotion.

Martha bowed her head, saying, " Yes, my lord.." before retreating to the door.

I wonder why he change his idea of talking on both of us.

Now I feel nauseated knowing I am left alone with him.

The last time it happened still fresh in my mind that the hair all over my body stood up.

I stopped on track when I heard the clicking sound of the door shut closed.

I saw him stalking me with an intense gaze. His gray orbs are glistening in the dark.

I step back each time he tried to close the distance between us. I only stop when my back felt the hard door behind met.

Shit!

I utter inside my head there's no more space to back away.

Damn it I'm trapped again!

A small annoying smirk escape his lips as he find my situation quite amusing.

"What's the problem i prinkípissá mou, got no place to go?" His deep voice sounded so calm yet so dangerous.

Even though his face is lack of emotion, yet his eyes convey something I can't decipher. He stop just as a few steps away from me.

He raises his hand, wanting to caress my cheek, but I quickly averted my face.

"Don't touch me!" I uttered, feeling disgusted. He stops midway, his hand formed in a first, but I sighed inside my head when he retreated his hand.

"Who do you think you are to stop me? Aren't you supposed to obey and do whatever I want?

Are you not scared of the consequence of your action?" He speaks calmly like a silenced before the storm.

"No.I'm not scared of you. I don't care what you feel, and I hate you for taking away my freedom. I hate you for un bonding me with my real mate!" I spat at him.

Hearing words obeying him made me so mad. I don't care anymore if he hurts me.

Who does he think he is demanding me to obey him?! I'd rather die if that meant I could be free from his hold.

Maybe there's no hope for my unborn child and me.

Maybe in the afterlife, I can be with Dalton in peace.

Being here, not knowing what will happen next, is very dreadful.

Anger flicker in his eyes as he grasped both of my hand and pinned me in the door.

"You listen to me. Your mine now, and no one else can have you other than me!" He states his claim possessively sniffing my hair before grazing his teeth down to the crooked of my neck.

A surging pain emit on the side of my neck when I felt his fang dig in my skin.

My knees wobble, slowly I sense my body become weak. My head seems light losing so much amount of blood.

Black dots clouded my vision until my world stop.

I  don't know what happens next as I welcomed the feeling of darkness away from my nightmare.
