Revelations

Hecate's heart felt like it was going to burst, and she was already having second thoughts on this whole matter, but seeing Hades's waiting expression and the gaze of her other two selfs, she - somehow - persevered and open her mouth to speak.

"I-I love you Hades." Once those words left Hecate's, she immediately prepared herself. Logically, she didn't have to fear anything. There was nothing that Hades could do to hurt physically, but emotionally, he could utterly destroy her by just uttering four simple words that carried immense weight...

'I don't love you'

Therefore, she hoped beyond hope he wouldn't say to those words. She doesn't know what she and the others will do if he says those words. She wants him to love her as much as she loves him.

"Why?" Hades spoke after getting over the shock that his own master was in love with him. "Why do you love me?"

To say that those words shocked her was understanding, but they were immensely logical. After all, up to this point she had showed only a professional relationship, she showed no romantic or sexual attraction openly to Hades, so of course he was confused about this situation.

'He probably thinks is some kind of test.' All three personalities sighed in unison. They knew that if they wanted to have a chance with him, then she would have to tell the truth to Hades, which honestly would feel a bit humiliating. But honestly speaking, Hecate doesn't think there is something she wouldn't do for him.

She was just that in love with him.

"Well... do you remember the Endless?" Hecate asked, and Hades nodded, still waiting for the answer. "Well, I contacted Desire and made a... bargain"

It was fast, but Hecate saw that Hades had frowned before returning to a polite face. Clearly, he was already guessing where this particular conversation was going, and judging by his previous expression, he didn't like it. Which didn't mean good things for her and the others.

"It was simple, really. Desire would reveal the one that I would devote all of my heart to. In exchange, I would deal with some gods that were annoying them"

"It wasn't that simple, was it?"

Hecate shook her head. "No, it wasn't. I kept my side of the bargain, and Desire kept theirs. They showed me who would be the one that fill all the emptiness I felt with love"

"They showed me, didn't they?" Hades asked, his voice carrying many emotions, surprise being the foremost of them.

"Yes, but they didn't do only that.," Hecate's hands shook as she felt the memories, and most importantly the feelings, of that life flash through her. "They didn't just make me see it, they made me feel it, every single moment of love and happiness that we shared in that life, all of it"

Hecate let out a breath she wasn't holding as she continued to speak. "That is why I am in love with you Hades,"

Hades spoke only two words to her confession. "How long?"

It was easy to answer "221 Years, 5 months, and 8 days" Frankly, it was pathetic that she was counting on the days since her bargain with Desire, but honestly she couldn't care less. If it was for Hades, she wouldn't mind burning the Multiverse down.

Hades didn't speak anymore, in fact, he seemed to think on what he should say. Hecate only hoped it wasn't a rejection.

******

'Well, this is certainly something' Hades though watching the waiting Goddess, who was in love in him for more than a century. Now that he was thinking about what he should do.

Frankly, he was already planning to at least leave with a cordial relationship with the Hecate. He would have liked for the Goddess to come live in the Underworld, but he knew it was simply too impossible of a possibility to occur.

After all, he was sure that she had received many invites, and she had the skill to create opulent palaces and minor dimensional realms with a simple thought or gesture, so why would she bother with his request?

But this changed everything.

Hecate was clearly becoming mad from unrequited love. And that was very dangerous. He didn't want to anger a goddess who knew who-knows-how-many-curses, especially one that clearly knew some beings that were pretty high on the cosmic totem pole of the DC Universe, even if that totem pole changed every year.

"I must admit that all of this is pretty surprising. " He started hoping beyond hope that this didn't end with him being launched across Greece once again.

Hecate watched him like a hawk, clearly wanting to know the answer.

"But, I am already in a relationship with someone-"

"Oh, you mean Hestia," Hecate's words shocked him, particularly they held no malice, but a familial warmth. "Don't worry, I am okay with that. In that life, Hestia loved you as well, but decided that she couldn't confess to you because of me. I told her I didn't mind. She confessed to you and then all three of us went to bed."

Honestly, this was simply too much for Hades, and remembering the words of his sister, he found that in that life where he and Hecate were married; it wasn't improbable that Hestia was perfectly okay with a polyamorous marriage. She said she wanted a big family after all.

"Well, I am surprised that you were okay with that"

Hecate shrugged. "As long as it made you happy, I wouldn't mind reducing this universe to cinders." An ominous amount of dread carried forth between Hecate's words.

'... You know what? I am going to ignore that for now,' Hades thought.

"Well then, I have my decision.," His words caused Hecate to focus all of her attention on him. "I enjoy your company. You are an excellent teacher, and someone to talk about the mystic arts. And I know that since both Hestia and you are okay... well, I should just stop talking and make it official"

"What are you-" Those were the only words Hecate could get out of her mouth before he pressed his lips on hers.

The goddess of magic was shocked by a split second before she returned the kiss with fervour, turning the chaste kiss into something more voracious.

She started moving her hands across his chest. She clearly had been wanting this for a very long time. Nevertheless, he needed to ask her something, as this was clearly getting heated.

He pulled his face from hers, earning him Hecate's pouty face, which honestly was very cute.

"Why did you stop?"

"Do you want your first time to be in a cave?"

"... Fair"

He cradled her hand. "Don't you want to be something special?"

Hecate looked at him like he was the most precious thing in the entire DC Multiverse - which honestly, how madly in love she was, that is exactly what she thinks - and said a simple yes.

Hades's smile wasn't a false one. "Then let me guide you to my home, introduce your... 'sister-wife' - I think that's the term - and then we will have our special time"

Hecate smiled as well. It was clear even to him she was immensely relieved that he hadn't rejected, and honestly the only reason for him to reject her would be because of Hestia, but since both were clearly okay with it... well who in their right mind would reject her.

After all, she could give the world to the person she loved, she could teach them the most esoteric forms of magic possible, and who knows what more could she do?

"Then let us go"

I see people are accusing me of plagiarizing Lethal_Drinker story "Into The DC-verse" and... it is totally hilarious and a bit frustrating. Yes, I read his fic, it is what inspired me to write *this* fic in the first place.

But hear me out on this one. The only scene that was pretty much the same without a certain fear entity showing up was the end of the Titanomachy, but after that, everything is *very* different.

For one, Lethal_Drinker is already in the Olympian Age (Metis is already eaten, Hera is the Queen of The Gods, Ares is already born, etc), heck his Hades has already met the Martian Gods! While my version of Hades is still in the post-Titanomachy age, where the other Olympians and all the shit that went down in Greece didn't happen *yet*.

Another thing is the *very* distinct personalities of Lethal_Drinker Hades and my own. The Hades of Lethal_Drinker is pretty much a hero (or at the very worst an anti-hero) while mine own is a borderline villain (key word here being 'borderline' future chapters are going to be a bit of a thing).

So, no I am not stealing elements from his story (Such as Aberrations, which honestly I don't even know how to introduce even if I *wanted* to plagiarize his fic, which once again I don't), besides a few elements in *a single chapter that I still changed*, my story is *completely original* (With ideas provided by readers, thanks for that).

Also one more thing, I *know* that you are now going to spam the reviews, chapter and paragraph comments all accusing me and wanting to take down my story for "stealing", but you want to know what? After this I am never, ever, going to mention you again.

And if you really weren't convinced by this rant, then nothing I say will convince you, so I will simply stop trying. Just like that.

Sorry for the rant, please enjoy the chapter. Also, as you are reading this, I have probably already changed Demeter's pic. Finding a good blonde one was challenge, let me tell you.
