9 Chapter 9 : First Friend

Seoul - 6th of Jul 2004
It has been a couple of days since I first met Ji-Eun on my Balcony, and we have met every night since then, we don't talk a lot and all we do is just stare at the city, or I just play the Guitar for her.
" Annyeong Ji-Eun, here hold my hand so you can go down easier," I said to her as she was trying to get down the ladder. After sitting on the Pallets, I (quickly) went to my room to get a blanket and put it on her shoulder. " Here, so you don't end up sick," I said as I sat down near her and took her hand into mine and she just (blankly) stared at our hands. " You knew, we have met for a couple of days but we don't know anything about each other, all I know is that you like to look at the city and the night View, and listing to me play the guitar." I told her with a smile " so let's play a Game Ji-Eun". Apparently that got her interest as she started to look at me. " let's ask each other question's in turns to know each other better" I continued.
I saw her nod her head slowly to my suggestion. " Okay since I was the one who though of the game I will start . Umm... ,what's your favourite food Ji-Eun." I Asked her .
"Hmm I like Gimbap the most, are you a foreign? why do you have blue eyes?" she asked me back quickly, Okay kids have no filters I guess she just went into the deep stuff hahahaha.
"Mhm I am only half foreign my mother is Italian, you know where that is right?" I teased her a little bit.
" Of course I know I am not dumb , I am already 11 I know where Italy is , it's near Britain." she huffed back at me. " Hahaha I guess you can say it is near UK in a way. ok my turn , Why you don't have friends?" I asked her back.
She fidgeted a little bit then answer me " I don't know how to talk to people , and I get scared trying to talk to them." she mumbled . seeing her like this I pat her head with my other hand. " Don't overthink it Ji-Eun , you just made your first friend and soon enough you will have 100 friend. " I replied to her and gave her a assuring smile.
She didn't answer me back as if trying to let my words Sink in. Then she said " why do you keep holding my hands?"
I blinked a couple of times at her question then laughed a little and said. " haha to be honest with you , your hands are warm that's why I like to hold them, but if you hate it I will stop"
"No (NO NO) it's fine, I don't mind it" hearing her answer made me smile a little bit.
" Are you left alone in your house most of time?" I (curiously) asked her.
" Yeah , my mom is working most of the time's and my dad is not here ." she replied sadly to me. as if she was trying to change the subject she asked me quickly this time. " Why do you live with your Aunt and uncle, where are your parent's , I heard from mom that you all had an accident are they still injured "
" Hahaha you really don't have any filter Ji-Eun.... my parent are gone" I Answered her while laughing a little bit. hearing my answer Ji-Eun looked at me and said "I..am sorry for asking you that"
"It's fine".... wanting to change the subject I asked her "seeing as tomorrow is a weekend , why don't you come in the morning where I will play the guitar for you and we can eat kimbap that my aunt is going to make tomorrow" Hearing me asking her to hang out tomorrow, got her face to glow a little bit and she nodded her head fast.
"Hahaha you really are Cute like a hamster Ji-Eun" hearing me giggle got her face red.

Seoul -7th of Jul 2004
As I was cleaning the balcony when I suddenly heard a *ring*
I ran downstairs to get the door , I won't lie I am excited because this is my first time I have a friend come over in both lives . Seeing me run to the door my uncle and aunt just laugh at my antic.
Opening the door I saw Ji-Eun awkwardly standing In front of our house . I couldn't stop my self from having a huge smile on my face while looking at her .
"Come let me introduce you to my aunt and uncle " I said as I took her hand and started to drag her to the living room .
" Ji-Eun say hi to Aunt Anna and Uncle Si-Hyuk , everyone this is my best friend Ji-Eun" . When Ji-Eun heard me Call her my best friend she got a little bit red " Annyeonghaseyo Ahjussi and Ajumma , I am Ji-eun and I am 11 year old , nice to meet you " said Ji-Eun as she bowed a little bit to them . (A/n: Ahjussi means uncle or something similar to that , you say that to strangers older men , the same is for Ajumma but it's for females )
"Aigo what a cute little lady , thank you for befriending our Cheon-Sa " my aunt said as she noticed us holding hands . Seeing where my aunt was looking , Ji-eun get shy and hides behind me even though she still didn't let go of my hand .
" I will show Ji-Eun my Guitar and Luna , we will get down stairs when lunch is ready " I said instantly and ran upstairs with Ji-eun to escape my aunt teasing .
" Ji-Eun , why don't I teach you how to play the Guitar ? I know it will be fun and that way we could spend time together " I asked her as soon as we sat on my bed . " Mhm please teach me, I also want to play the guitar like you " Ji-Eun said as a huge smile blasted her face and she started jumping up and down from excitement .
[Aunt Anna POV]
" Heheh did you see them holding hands , they looked soooo cute " I gushed to my husband . " Anna stop shipping them together , they are not even in middle school yet , let them decide what they want to be when they get older. " Si-Hyuk replied to me without looking away from his work paper.
" but they were soo adorable. I never know Cheon-Sa was this daring . " I sighed dramatically.
Si-Hyuk just look at me as If I was a crazy person and rolled his eye on me .
A couple of hours later I called both children to come and eat . Seeing them come downstairs still holding their hands . I just smiled at their behaviour.
As we started eating I heard Si-Hyuk ask them " I heard the Guitar playing upstairs , do you also play the guitar Ji-Eun?"
"No Ahjussi today was my first time holding a Guitar . Cheon-Sa promised to teach me how to play like him " said Ji-eun after gulping down her food .
" So how was Our Cheon-Sa Guitar playing Was he good ?" I continued asking her .
" Yes Ahjussi he is really cool " replied Ji-eun in a barely hear able voice. Hearing her answer, both me and Si-hyuk smiled.
" what else did you both do " Si-hyuk asked them again .
" We both played with Luna for the rest of the time " said Cheon-Sa . " hoho That stubborn cat allowed someone else to play with her beside you " said Si-Hyuk in a sad voice . As Luna hated it when he tried to play with her. " yes " replied Cheon-sa with a (teasing) smile.
" By the way Ji-Eun , I know I didn't check with you but I hope you told your mom that you will eat with us and will be here for the rest of the days ." I said and I totally forgot about that . Ugh paying attention to these things is still new to me .
" It's fine Ajumma, my mom is never home , as long as I message her where I am it's fine " she replied to me . Hearing her I pity the poor girl . "So who cooks your meal Ji-Eun " I continue asking her
" I just order food from the store " my heart stopped after hearing her .
" OKay ,I will talk to your mom so you can eat with us every day okay " I told her . There is no way I will leave a small girl alone eating by her self from a restaurant. And her adding up to us won't make a huge difference to our food bill .
" Ajumma you don't have to do that . It's fine I am used to it " denied Ji-Eun heavily.
" Don't worry about it Ji-Eun , Aunt is basically bribing you to be friends with me . Sigh I can't believe my aunt don't have faith in her nephew social skills " said Cheon-Sa in a dramatic way .seeing as the situation was getting heavier with my talk with Ji-Eun .
" Okay how about I talk with your mom and we decide it . " I told her again
" mhm" nodded Ji-eun to my question.
" then it is decided " I said

Another Chapter done. this one is 1.5k word not the best but way better than the first couple of chapter I believe.

I won't lie I wish I could skip all these and just time skip till 2009 . that's where the Singing and the juicy stuff will happen. but since I decided I will write this , I wont do it half heartedly.
and since I have an exam in 2 weeks. I will only release a chapter every 2 days.
please give me a feed back to the story. so I can know what to fix and what to avoid.
