35 Finally... It's Over!

Sitting on a pile of profound beast corpses, Kaido was reflecting on the past months that he had spent on these endless plains.
"How many have I killed so far…?"
"998,679 profound beasts, Master."
Rias answered with her sweet voice, which washed the negative feelings away from Kaido's heart.
"Thank you for reminding me, Rias."
"No problem, Kaido-sama, I must help you~ I wanted to help you in other ways to relieve your boredom but the eyes of the Primordial Azure Dragon will spot me if I come out~"
"Never mind, it won't be too late to help me in your other ways after we get out of here…"
Kaido stood up when he noticed another wave of true dragons coming in his direction.
Thousands of dragons of various shapes and types, bearing the strength of the divine path, attacked in a single wave.
If this wave occurred in the outside world, it would have already been the apocalypse.
"Again, huh!?"
"Alright, let's complete the first million kills after this wave."

The Wind Dragon let out a calamitous roar before its massive body fell to the ground with a loud bang.
The kanabo automatically turned back into Kaido's hand after taking down two other dragons that were following behind that wind dragon.
Kaido transformed into his hybrid form before exploding with ridiculous power and sliding through a wave of beasts that attacked him with various attacks, wanting to tear him to death.
In his hybrid form, he looked like a small fly in front of the colossal bodies of dragons. But this form allowed him to kill more efficiently.
It was much more flexible than the dragon form which had its benefits as well.
"Worororo!!!"
No doubt, Kaido enjoyed killing in this trial ground that allowed him to kill to his heart's content.
Each time he fell on the head of a certain dragon it would blast it into a bloody mess before moving on toward the next victim.
The dragons' corpses started to fall from the sky like rain, but that didn't scare the rest of the dragons instead caused them to go into a frenzied state that Kaido had become accustomed to in those two months.
Their eyes turned red and their profound energy began to burn as their strength rose exponentially, just like the Heretic God's method of energy leveling through gates.
But the difference between this and that is that these dragons burn their profound energy to sacrifice everything in order to drag Kaido with them to death.
"It's dangerous this time… Worororo!!"
From among the frenzied crowd emerged a gigantic black dragon with six intertwined horns, four wings, and an imposing, intimidating aura.
This dragon was an overlord-level beast at the peak of the Divine Soul Realm!
The Black Dragon opened its mouth and tried to swallow Kaido!
At this point, Kaido started to transform into his gigantic primordial phoenix dragon form.
An indulgence here means certain death!

The scarlet glow spread to his hand and then his whole body.
Kaido's body which was completely exhausted started to regain some vitality.

Kaido stood up again and charged up toward the final wave with endless killing intent.

The scene in front of Kaido's eyes suddenly distorted as the roaring voices of dragons and the miserable cries of profound beasts rang out from his ears. The place became quiet... The sea of blood that had just been soaked in its midst also disappeared as he entered a completely dark world.
