3 Royal Ball

Leticia walked home happily. The happiness made her heart pound very fast and couldn't wait to surprise her daughter.

In no time, she got home and found her daughter arranging her room. Leticia hid the bag of cloth at her back and tiptoed to her daughter. Doris could feel someone's presence, and she turned back and to her surprise it was her Mom, who looked very excited.

"What's with the wide smile, Mom?" Doris asked, feeling less concerned. This has always been her attitude, but her mum couldn't help but show her the surprise.

" I brought a beautiful dress for you, Your Majesty" her mother joked with her wild smile and did an act of bow towards her.

" Hmm, Brought or bought?" She asked, but couldn't deny the fact that she was pleased.

"My money couldn't buy it, so I was provided an opportunity to take it on rent." She brought out the cloth from the bad and showed her daughter.

"(gasps) Woah Mom. This cloth is beautiful. I love it, Mom." Doris said and hugged her mom. Doris couldn't believe that she was going to the ball, and she couldn't help but feel nervous.

"So now, you are good to go. I have some jewelries in my box. I will give it to you tomorrow and I will apply some makeup on your face." Leticia told her daughter with a warm smile and rubbed her daughter's hair. Doris couldn't help but smile and hug her mother again.

"You will be with me there, right?" Doris asked her Mom as she blinked her eyes continuously.

"Why?" She asked.

" I will get nervous if you're not beside me." Doris pouted her lips.

"Haha, you look like a kid. Don't worry, you'd be fine. I will let Betty's Mom look after you at the ball, since her daughter would also be attending. I will go search for money so that I will cook for you when you are back." Leticia said as she stroked her daughter's hair.

She would also love to be there to see her daughter dance, but it was impossible. They really need money to feed, and she doesn't have a nice cloth to put on.

"Hmm, okay Mom" Doris sighed.

---------------

The chill air directly blew into Doris room, waving her a curtain To and Fro. Doris yawned tiredly as she got down from her small bed. She went into her bathroom and showered. She brushed her teeth and she stared at herself through the mirror. Furthermore, she couldn't help but breathe out loudly.

"I hope I make something good out of this. I want to make my mom proud. It isn't my wish to go there anyway but because of my mom" Doris talked within herself.

She rinsed her mouth and left her bathroom.

She went to her half damaged wardrobe and took out the cloth her mom brought for her yesterday.

Furthermore, she swung the clothes sideways as she admired it.

Moreover, she hastily wore the cloth and went to meet her mom in her room.

To her surprise, her mother already brought out the makeups and jewelries.

"Mom" She called,

Leticia was surprised. Her daughter looked adorable in the dress. Indeed, she made the right choice.

"You look adorable, my dear" She said as she walked closer to her daughter to give her a warm hug.

"Good morning Mom" Doris greeted her Mom as they both hugged each other.

"Good morning dear, Did you sleep well?" Leticia asked as they withdrew from the hug

"Yes" Doris nodded in approval.

"Okay, come and sat here as I prepare you for the ball" Leticia stressed her words as she pointed to where her daughter should seat.

Leticia Styled her daughter's golden brown hair in to some stylish braid. She added makeup on her daughter's face. Her purple eyes blinked continuously as the makeup was being applied on her face.

Leticia couldn't help but gasp at her daughter's beauty. The makeup wasn't heavy and much, but her daughter looked like a goddess.

"You look spectacular dear" Leticia Commended.

Leticia wore some jewelries on her. The jewelries were not new, but it was the jewelry she used for her wedding when her husband was still alive. She didn't have money to buy, so she had to give the ones she had.

"I'm sorry, dear, but please manage this" Leticia said calmly.

Doris looked at herself in the mirror and, then, smiled.

" Mom, this is totally enough, and I can't manage any of these. I look great and all thanks to u Mom" She hugged her mom.

Leticia knew that even if the dress looked bad, Doris would always say good about it just to put a smile on her face, but she looked great today after all.

"You can leave now, dear. I don't want you to get there late. It's a Royal ball after all" Leticia said.

"Okay Mom" Doris said and bade her Mom a goodbye.

Doris left the house and walked majestically. Hopefully, their house wasn't too far from the Royal Castle.

The Royal Castle was at the ending of a quiet estate. The prince owns the estate and his Duke and Duchess lives there too.
