8 Chapter 6: Goodbye & New Adventure

The night was alive with a mysterious aura, casting its enchanting spell upon the world. Stars twinkled like distant beacons, painting the vast expanse of the darkened sky. The moon, a radiant pearl suspended in the heavens, cast a silvery glow upon the earth below, illuminating the landscape with its gentle touch. Shadows danced and played, creating an intricate tapestry of darkness and light.

In the middle of the sea, a small boat bobbed gently on the waves. Three individuals occupied the boat; two were fast asleep while the third sat awake, lost in contemplation.

From the perspective of the king:

'System, buy me a paper at the show and write, "This is my goodbye, my friend. We will probably meet again."'

Though we had known each other for only three days, I already considered Luffy a friend, and I knew he felt the same way about me.

[It will cost 5 Fear Points. Do you want to buy it?]

'Yes.'

A paper suddenly appeared in my hand, already inscribed with the words I had requested the system to write. An idea occurred to me, and I decided to ask the system for a favor.

'System, can I borrow some points from you?'

I voiced the question, unsure if the system would grant my request.

[Yes, Host. But you have to pay it back after one month. If you don't, the amount will double, and you will be unable to buy from the system shop until you settle the debt.]

'You can be quite intimidating sometimes, system.' I chuckled, having already devised a plan to acquire the required fear points to repay the system.

[I will trust you to pay it back after one month, Host.]

'Alright, alright.'

[How much do you want to borrow, Host?]

'3 million, please.'

[+3,000,000 Fear Points]

[Why do you need that much money, Host?]

'I want to buy Luffy some tickets for his journey.' I explained, concerned about my friend's safety. I knew he would encounter formidable pirates on his adventure, and I didn't want him to perish prematurely.

[Alright, Host. Tell me what you want to buy.]

...

[10 minutes later]

"Alright, this should be enough." I felt satisfied with the tickets I had purchased. They would provide Luffy with additional assistance on his journey.

'System, take them all out and place all the tickets in the inventory Bracelet.'

A ring and a piece of paper appeared in my hand. I approached the slumbering Luffy cautiously and gently placed the inventory ring in his palm. It automatically opened and secured itself onto his hand.

I set the paper beside Luffy and, utilizing my Advanced Telekinesis, retrieved a rock from the bottom of the sea. Carefully, I placed the rock on the paper, ensuring it would not be blown away by the wind.

"Alright, this should be enough."

With my task completed, I employed my Advanced Telekinesis to lift myself from the boat, levitating into the night sky. The cool breeze brushed against my face as I soared above the tranquil sea, gazing down at the slumbering figures left behind.

As I ventured further into the night, my mind drifted back to the brief yet meaningful time I had spent with Luffy. We had crossed paths unexpectedly, our destinies intertwining for those few eventful days. Despite the brevity of our acquaintance, a bond had formed, forged by shared experiences and mutual understanding.

Luffy, a young and ambitious soul, possessed an unyielding determination and a burning desire to explore the vast oceans, chasing his dreams of becoming the Pirate King.

The journey ahead would be treacherous, filled with perilous encounters and daunting adversaries. But with the tickets I had acquired, I hoped to provide Luffy with a glimmer of hope, an extra layer of protection that might prove vital in the face of adversity.

The Supreme Healing Tickets would serve as a lifeline, ensuring that Luffy could mend his wounds and continue his quest undeterred. The Teleportation Tickets offered a means of escape, whisking him away to safety when danger loomed too close. And the Supreme Bubble Shields would shield him from harm, granting a precious window of opportunity during battles.

In my mind's eye, I envisioned Luffy's surprised expression as he discovered the gifts left in his possession. A smile tugged at the corners of my lips, knowing that I had contributed, albeit in a small way, to his journey towards greatness.

But as I floated through the night, a flicker of concern lingered within me. Borrowing such a substantial sum from the system had its risks, and I understood the consequences that awaited me if I failed to repay within the allotted time. However, my resolve remained steadfast. I would find a way to acquire the required fear points, for the thought of being unable to access the system shop and assist Luffy further was simply inconceivable.

With the moon as my guide, I traversed the heavens, contemplating the path ahead. I knew that I would need to rely on my ingenuity, skills, and perhaps a touch of luck to fulfill my commitment to the system. Challenges would inevitably arise, but I was determined to overcome them, driven by the bond of friendship that had formed between Luffy and me.

Friendships forged in the crucible of life's trials were often the ones that withstood the test of time. Though uncertain of what the future held, I was certain that our paths would cross again.

And so, beneath the starlit sky, I soared onward, my heart filled with a blend of hope, determination, and a touch of melancholy. The night whispered promises of untold adventures, and I embraced its call, ready to face the challenges that lay ahead.
