Before The War Part 2

It's a nice day the sun is shining brightly and my breakfast has been delivered. Beside me in a bouquet of her hair is my beautiful wife.

"Do you have to leave?" She asks hugging me from behind.

"It's my duty and my honour." I respond to her and she looks at me sadly.

"You won't be able to be here to see your son being born." She says kissing my cheeks, I'm fifteen and already going to be a father. My grandfather had his child when he was twelve.

"I know but I'm fighting for my family, I can't allow them to cross over. The late King of Fren is dead his son Prince Harry is determined to cross the Bloody sea and take En." All the women and riches with him.

"I know that but still what women would happily watch has the father of her child goes to battle, an unknown fate." Grandfather told his wife was like this when he went out to suppress a rebellion in his territory, he told me to say these words.

"It's a man duty and honour to go and fight in a war. To die for his wife and family or return home with glory and honour." She nods then take my face and kiss me on the lips.

"Then win glory and honour for me and your son." Charlotte.  . .

I then take her lips once again we then get busy ensuring my son is born. 

"Raise your head when you're walking, you're an Eirwen." Grandfather says walking beside me in armour dyed in blue and yellow, it even has horns on the helmet.

"I will be introducing you to my 5 Water Generals now, they will be commanding our army throughout this campaign so show them respect."

The famous five who helped crush our first and last ever rebellion. They are all vassals of our family all but one. The legendary poison dragon. 

"You will be leading the Water bull Corp under General Lucas Evenfield commanding around 45,000 troops." I'm sure that's only name, no way he would allow a fresh recruit to command that many soldiers. 

"Raise your head, no solider especially no knights want to see your weak face, especially not those who serve our family." That right, I'm also going to be a hero.

"Yes, grandfather." 

"Address me as Duke William whenever we are out in public." Grandfather says walking ahead.

"You have grown haven't you little Duke." A man almost 8 feet tall wearing pitch-black armour says looking down on me.

"It's natural for me to grow but I'm not descended from giants." His large muscular frame, his large sharp teeth and hollow eyes give it away. Although giants don't possess grey skin.

"Not just giant but also cursed orc  (Shadow Pet)." He suddenly creates a giant black hawk with a wingspan taller than him.

"Enough showing of orc, excuse my rudeness I'm Lord Fallash." A knight dress in shiny silver armour wielding a sleek red spear says kneeling before us.

"You're the Water Tiger who defended Castle Pearl." He smiles at my statement and never confirms it.

"You know about him but not me! I crushed the Bandit King vice commander with my bare hands!" That means he's the famous water bull, he's way taller in person. 

"Obviously your just a brute who relies only upon his strength and no brains." Lord Fallash says still kneeling.

"Strength determines the character and you have none!" He draws his giant sword and Lord Fallash ready his spear.

"Calm down the two of you, you're in the presence of Duke William. If you use your weapon I will have your head." The person who enters this time is a legendary figure for everyone. 

Single-handedly killing the bandit king, rescuing Lady Alice and a group of noble ladies from an enemy base. Survive fighting the God level monster called Fafnir. Most impressive learned the spell called dragon claw from the dragon themselves. 

Calling him a legend is an understatement, he's a demigod and the person who inspired my older to be a hero.

Behind him is most likely the Water Monkey and Water Wolf. They weren't able to build any reputation during crushing the rebellion due to the Poison Dragon ending it himself.

"I am Lord Philip Lancelot better known as the Poison Dragon. The one in blue armour is your technical nephew Lord Jack In the Water Wolf. The next person in red is Lord Greg Fossil your personal vassal knight and the Water-Monkey." 

The legendary five generals that help guard my family. It was originally eight but two died out and one had to be put down. 

"All preparations are ready, Duke William." Lord Philip says bowing to grandfather. 

"Then get the troops ready, we need to land on Seaport by midsummer." Grandfather says and everyone bows to him and shout.

"Blood for honour and gold for glory!"
