1 Awakening!

The blazing sun blared down upon a group of caravans, the hot winds tugging at fabrics as they brave through adverse desert conditions. The Morcha Desert, a continental stretch of dry desert separating the empires of the Red Nova planet.

Beasts of hybrid design reminiscent of horses on steroids, with antlers of reindeer's standing at seven feet dragging the wooden carriages filled with merchants and their goods as they travel towards the Great Asus Empire.

In one of these carriages laid a young man around the age of 18, his brown hair swaying in the wind as he was protected from the sun by the covers of the carriage. He laid peacefully, as if without a care in the world. A swift gale suddenly buffets the carriage nearly tipping it over, the beasts neighs loudly, panicked by the abrupt wind while the coachman tried to reign them in.

An arm reaches out and grabs the tilted carriage pulling it down with as much as pulling down the blinds to a window, this manages to jock the young man awake. Panic filled eyes scanned the surroundings as the youth pats his body "what! Where! How?!" Ragged breaths escape him as he calms down noticing he is still alive and unhurt, "how am I alive? I didn't die in the car crash?" his confusion continued for a moment until he was assaulted with a flood of memories.

The pain comparable to a mixture of brain freeze and a migraine forced him to release a roar of pain, this lasts for a time, his body trashing as his hands latched onto his head, "Michael what's wrong?!" a panicked voice asked as a figure wrapped in blue robes rushed towards the thrashing youth, "what happened?!" the figure continued asking as he could only watch until Michael finally calmed down.

"Impossible, how can this be?" Michael's words barely a whisper as he stared at nothing, ignoring the string of questions from the man by his side. 'How could I end up here? Wasn't all this supposed to be fictional?" he almost broke down in hysteria until a strong pair of hands grabbed his shoulders shaking him from his thoughts "Michael!" The loud voice causing him to flinch as his head snapped towards the man before him.

"Uncle Semus" the words escapes his mouth before he realised it, still lost in the incredibility of his situation. His uncle letting out a breath of relief seeing his nephew was fine. "What happened? Why were you screaming?" concern thick in Semuss voice.

Unsure on how to proceed he recognised the most like excuse that might explain it "I think I might have awakened my latent ability"; his uncle was slack jawed for a moment before he burst out laughing. "I knew you had it in you, no relative of mine would be unable to awaken an ability."

'I'm glad that worked' he thought still being amazed at what type of world he just woke up in, it seems like a mixture of both western and wuxia world he read about during his childhood in the other earth. This world consisted of cultivators with various levels but rather than the traditional Asian demographics in the novels, it was more like the earth he was from, with humanity adapting to the weather causing the skin to have different pigmentation.

Also, rather than sects there were kingdoms and with enough strength it's possible to build your own. There were strong merchant groups and other groups and minor institutes. In terms of abilities while it's possible to cultivate from 4 years old, at the age of 16 everyone awakens an ability and these could range from mystical creatures used as something similar to stand users from that one manga he read to complete biological manipulation.

'It seems like the original owner of this body failed to awaken an ability', his thoughts running a mile a minute as he kept on processing the memories he just received. Usually people who fail to awaken at 16 usually have a grace period of a year to awaken their latent abilities. 98% of people usually manage to but the remaining 2% never awaken one after the age of 17 'at least according to what's known'.

"So, what's your ability?" His uncles voice brought him out of his musing, realising he hasn't looked at it himself he noticed a small screen at the bottom left corner of his vision, 'did I gain a system?'

[Welcome King Administrator]

'King Administrator?' but realising his uncle was waiting he answered "it looks like a screen that shows my attributes such as strength, endurance and cultivation level. I'll need to explore it to find out more as I feel there's more to it than that", his uncle nodded with a smile, "take your time and get used to it, I've seen a lot of abilities and this isn't the most unusual; we'll reach the borders of the Atnaf territory in to suns down". His uncle patted his shoulder with a relieved smile on his face "always remember, I'm proud of you regardless of your ability or not."

Taken aback by the unfamiliar affection he could only give a stiff nod squeezing out a smile, seeing this his uncle turned around while laughing, his voice stretching out towards the rest of the caravan "tonight we celebrate! My nephew finally awakened his ability!" Sounds of cheers could be heard over the desert winds as Michael couldn't help but smile, not sure if they're happy for him or because of the celebration.

Laying back he focused on the interface icon, shaped like a crown it expanded in his view.

Looking at his he was a bit apprehensive, "at least I don't have to start from the beginning like those novels I read, never really understood why they started at LV 1 when their status as normal humans are higher than the system stated." Closing it he focused on the help section.

[Info]

[The King Administrator Systems' main function is to allocate pseudo system's to individuals {Mods: 0/10]. These individuals are given access to the functions of the system with a hidden cost of 15% of their gains. These gains range from Skills, Knowledge & Cultivation level gained after the system has been accepted].

The information was short and simple, nothing else was written but the implication of this was something he understood very well.
