In the Beginning of the World - 3

We stared at each other for a while, taking in each other's beautiful differences. I thought, how could one be so godly yet so human. Why, even after all he has done, did I feel like I could trust him?

No, I felt more like I had to trust him. It felt like it was mandatory of me, like the world needed me to trust him, like it was already written in the legacy.

I soon got bored of looking at him, and decided to look at the transparent world once more. It was still a sight to behold, full of wonders and curiosities. Is this what my world is made of? Fascinating.

I got up and started walking toward the waterfalls and empty grasslands.

"You can't go there!"

"Why not?"

"You will clip out and break the game."

Game? What game? Is this a game to him? If he has that mindset, it would make sense by the way he is acting. How rude.

I roll my eyes and continue walking. All of a sudden I start falling. I'm not really falling, but my feet are off the ground and I'm feeling the air swift below me, as if I'm flying in my nightmares.

I black out.

---------------------------uwu---------------------------

I felt my hairs stand and my body freeze as I watched the monster get closer. I felt like time froze, like the world was watching me and anticipating what would become of my body.

Suddenly my arm was snatched by the fire haired boy and we ran through the forest. Twigs and blades of grass were hitting every part of my body till I couldn't even tell where we were. He stopped and started climbing a tree. Was he really going to leave me?

"Get up here quickly Arthur!"

How did he know my name? It was a foolish question, really. Everyone knows who I am no matter where they came from. If they didn't, then it would be pretty safe to assume that they had been living under a rock.

I felt my waist get tied by something. It was an enchanted rope, and before I could even comprehend where it came from and why it was there, I was pulled to the top of the tree and back to its owner.

He held me close to him, as he covered my mouth.

The audacity.

Before I could even make a sound, I heard the horrid beast pass by, searching but not able to see through the foliage. I held my breath, as to become one with the tree. He uncovered my mouth and we both watched as it passed.

When you aren't being chased, it becomes almost an object of beauty. A truly majestic and magical creature. I had seen it before in books and heard about it's horrific attacks. I have never heard, however, about it's limbs that moved like swaying branches in the wind, or it's feeling of loneliness when you see it walking by.

Suddenly, the monster felt like it had become a creature of the forest.
