"ERIC PULL ME UP PLEASE HURRYY"

On top a a school building, the cries of a male student could be heard loudly begging for his friend to not let go. His back was leaned facing the ground 15 meters below. If His friend let him go he will surely die.

His name is Jayson, and him Being in this situation was a result of him tripping on something, but being in this situation he didn't realized what he tripped on, all he wanted was to live. If not them he be shocked to learn that one of his shoelaces untied.

"ERIC HURRY PULL ME UP MAN" jayson kept begging as tears slowly started coming out of his eyes.

Jayson and Eric has been friends for a while, Eric, usually was a quite guy, no one paid him any mind, But he decided to give Eric a chance. He started asking Eric if he wanted to hangout, and he also would talk to him anytime he saw him. At first he Eric would ignore him but later he started getting along with him more. Eric started saying a few words to him like 'hi' or 'ok' to full sentences like 'Let's not go to that place it's has too many people'.

Their Relationship has almost reach to the point of bestfriend but that's is what jayson thinks atleast.

So jayson would not think that Eric would let him fall but it was still scary being so close to death.

Jayson soon began to notice something weird. He noticed that Eric was not pulling him up but watching him with a weird expression like he didn't intend to pull him up.

What is he thinking about, isn't he going to pull me up. Jayson couldn't understand why Eric wouldn't pull him up but he is sure that he will soon. That's right we're friends he will never let me fall.

POV: Change to Eric (MC)

'What do I do? Should I pull him up? I really want to let go? That voice of fear he's making makes me want to let go even more?'

Thoughts ran through Eric's head for a while but he finally made his decision.

'I'll claim it was an accident, since it originally was hahaha' Eric looked into Jayson eyes.

Being looked by Eric jayson couldn't help but get cold sweat back. as he sensed something bad was gonna happen.

"Goodbye Victim number 12" A smile grew on Eric face as he said this. He slowly release his grip that was preventing Jayson from falling.

jayson felt gravity work as he start falling but what made him even more scared was the terrifying look on Eric's face looking at him.

Knowing he was going too die, jayson closed his eyes as he fell.

Eric watch Jayson fall, as his body splattered on the ground.

And with it screams of shocked students.

Looking at the body, Eric Couldn't help but feel exited,

Huff huff huff

He put his hands on his faces

"My first time killing a person hahah" Eric tried to calm himself down but couldn't as the feeling he was feeling right now could only be described as happiness.

He started shivering as he talked to himself as he looked at the body of his friend.

"My excuse gotta be a good one for me too....huh" Eric was cut short as he saw a white light came out of the body towards him.

"What"

he didn't have time too react as the light entered his body.

"What was that" He hurriedly look at his body only to realize nothing happened to him.

But he heard a ring in his head as a message screen popped up

If the soul has an ability, it will be added to the Host soul. meaning the host gets the ability of anything with a soul that he killed. every soul absorbed depending on the person strength increase host's power level

Flame: Host is able too attack with fire. At the moment the host can only produce a small ball size fire.

"What this" Eric was amazed as he saw the screen in front of him. He soon come to a conclusion that it was a status screen from those games that other kids his age play.

Apparently Eric has some type of ability now. called Soul absorption. And according to the system anything he kills he absorbs their soul as long as he is close by and 1 minute at the time of death.

And based on what that, the white light that entered his body seconds ago was Jayson. And this flame ability was orginally Jayson's.

" level is pretty much self explanatory but it looks like the more I use my abilities the stronger they get, but when did the earth start having abilities. did I not know because I didn't pay much attention before" Eric robbed his chin, as he started walking to the door of the roof.

"And The screams from earlier, signalled that someone saw the body when it fell looks like I have a lot of explaining to do haha" Eric laughed as he walked into the door, down a flight of stairs.

But something caught his attention. He saw a janitor banging on a door.

Eric realized that something wasn't right about the janitor as his eyes were red and black liquid was oozing out his mouth. and most importantly the janitor was growling in a sense, as he bang the door.

Not wanting be involved as he didn't care Eric tried to walk off but the janitor seemly sensed him as he look at Eric, before darting to him with full speed.

"What" Eric was surprised seeing the janitor run towards him at full speed, with his mouth open.
