CHAPTER 4: Logging Out~

For the next while, Phong was busy with small tasks given to him by the system. If he were to be honest, it wasn't much at all to him. The tasks were very simple. He thought to himself that, maybe he could get another chance as a human after all.

"Phew, finally done with it."

Finished up with a delivery task, he waited for another wave of tasks, but there weren't any appearing. He was getting used to doing small tasks.

"Eh? Is that all?"

「Yay~~ That's it for the Beginner's Tasks series! You're done ^^ ~ 」

[You have completed <BEGINNER'S TASKS>, congratulations! A new special area will be introduced and rewards will be given afterwards.]

"So, I'm gonna be taken to that area you mentioned before, right?"

「Exactly. But first, you must get to a save point first before entering the area, or you will lose your progress. See that shiny seaweed over there? That's a save point. Most of the save points take shape as a very shiny seaweed, so that the players can tell that it's a save point. Just get close until you touch it.」

"Alright, let me just..."

The smooth and soft seaweed touched his small body, the shade of the shining plant almost blinded his eyes doing so.

[Save point reached. All tasks have been completed, teleporting user to <General Lounge>.]

Darkness quickly engulfed his surrounding, and he felt a strange sensation of his body disappearing in a slight second. Then, light filled his eyes again. The ocean was a fairly dark place, and since his fish eye was getting used to it, the artificial lights in the place he was teleported to blinded him. He took his time having a small panic due to the lights, but didn't move around like an idiot since he heard human chatterings. Wait, humans? Did he hear it right? He was a fish before, right? Despite his eyes still trying to get used to the environment, he forcefully opened them to look around. The place was like a fancy lounge, with a few human beings sitting or standing around, either talking to each other or being alone. He looked down upon himself.

A human body! Torso, legs, arms... He could feel his limbs moving! He even got pants and a shirt on already. Excited and celebrating internally, he lifted up his face. The other people didn't look at him, but he could hear two women talking quietly to each other.

"He must be a newbie. I could tell by his excited face."

The voice was from a woman in her 20 with short hair. She wore a black body dress, and seemed to be Asian. Despite that, her English was perfect.

The other woman next to her spoke. This woman was long-haired and seemed older, but she was beautiful. She wore a fancy red dress that drew one's gaze onto her perfect body. An effortlessly seductive voice came out of her mouth as soon as she opened it.

"My my, once again? I wonder what young men are up to these days, it seems like most of the players are them. You know what I mean, right?"

They giggled. He didn't get it, what's so funny about young men? He didn't mind it, though. Getting his body back caused such great joy that he would give not a flying fuck if a truck filled with mandarin oranges were to crash into the lounge right this instance.

「Suprised much? Welcome back to your body!」

His eyes once again gleamed with light, he was genuinely happy to be a human again.

「Now, I'll ask for you to make up a name for yourself. This will be the name that's visible to everyone, and the system will also adress to you using that name. This is needed because your identity must be protected in this place, as a lot of dangerous individuals roam here.」

"Uh... A name? That's so sudden... Do you have any suggestions?"

「Good question. I actually do!」

A panel with names popped up in front of him, there were more than ten names, but the author was probably too lazy and lacked of braincells to make up names anymore, so only a few names were visible from the list.

「Anyway, this place is the general lounge. Down that big hall there, you have a big screen where you can choose which place to teleport to. One of the places are the Common Living Area, which is basically a residence for all the players. Each player owns a small chamber there. I'll take you there and then you can rest.」

"Alright... Let's go quick, I wanna check something once I get there.

After being showed around of the area that was mentioned, he was finally in his chamber. It was like an average bedroom with a bathroom and a small kitchen. It's not the biggest, but the size doesn't bother him. At least he had somewhere to rest now.

He remembered what he wanted to do once he got to his chamber. He quickly rushed to the bathroom and took off his shirt. Phong, whose name is now Hayato, took a good look of himself in the bathroom mirror. He realized a familiar face. He had a pretty face for a guy. He would often get some of those "You look Korean" in his last life. His body was overall slim with little visible muscles. It was clear that he wasn't much of an exercise person. He lowered his pants a bit, revealing some more of his hips.

「What now? Do you fancy your own body?」

"That was not needed, Dipshit."

On a side of his hips lied a 4 inches long scar that's quite visible to the eye.

"... It's here. So this is my real body after all!"

「Did you doubt the system's credibility? Hmph!」

Satisfied, he took off the rest of his clothes and changed into pajamas that was already in his closet. He snuggled himself into the bed of his bedroom and embraced his own body. He missed it, for sure.
