165 Chapter 165: The Incident

"What do you mean by that?" Mazuru pretended to be puzzled.

Yoruichi said with a serious face, "Your Vice-captain Ichimaru Gin."

"What about Gin?"

"I told you back then that the night of soul disappearance was caused by Aizen's hollow experiment, but I wasn't able to make it clear due to the urgency of time that besides Aizen, there were two helpers beside him at that time, one is Tousen Kaname, the current captain of the Ninth Division, and the other, is... Ichimaru Gin."

"So that brings us to the current topic. Gin, who used to follow Aizen, has become your vice-captain. So which side are you on? Moreover, in that incident, what role did you play?"

Yoruichi stared at Mazuru with burning eyes.

Mazuru frowned, "Gin was actually with Aizen in that conspiracy."

"You don't know?" Yoruichi frowned slightly.

Mazuru shook his head, "Believe it or not, I really didn't know this before you talked about it. Back then, I recruited him from the Fifth Division to the Third Division purely because of his genius. Shiba Kaein of the Thirteenth Division became the vice-captain in just a few years, and Gin was a genius not inferior to him. Due to what happened on the night of the soul disappearance incident, my Third Diviison which supported a lot of teams also suffered lack of manpower, so I wanted to find a reliable vice-captain to help me."

"Now that you mention it, at the moment, it seems that Aizen also agreed to transfer the talented Gin to the Third Division quite easily. Carefully thinking about it now, there must be something wrong."

After Mazuru finished speaking, Yoruichi's expression was still serious with her eyes flickering. She didn't know whether she should trust Mazuru or not.

After all, these words and reasons sound really clumsy.

Knowing that Aizen has a problem, Mazuru dared to get close to him, and even poached Gin who originally belonged to the Fifth Diviison.

But earlier when she, Ichigo and others broke into the gate before, it was indeed because of Mazuru's mercy that Ichigo was not caught immediately.

Yoruichi couldn't figure out the answer for a while, so she simply picked up the jug in front of her and took a few sips of wine.

In the end, she left first without chatting with Mazuru for too long.

Mazuru sat cross-legged on the ground alone, looked at the direction Yoruichi was leaving, held a wine jug, and drank alone. He was not surprised that Yoruichi would find out that there was something wrong with him. After all, back then, Yoruichi had warned him about Aizen.

Now, Gin, who followed behind Aizen at the beginning, has come under Mazuru in an open and honest way, which will inevitably make Yoruichi think deeply.

When Yoruichi and Mazuru got together.

On the other side, Ichigo and others who broke through into Seireitei with the help of Kukaku's cannon also encountered Gotei 13's shinigami encirclement and pursuit.

Ichigo was very unlucky. As soon as he fell to Seireitei, he encountered Madarame Ikkaku and Ayasegawa Yumichika of the Eleventh Division. Then without any warning, Ichigo broke out in the first battle after entering Seireitei.

Because Kaien is still alive, Shiba Ganju has no hatred for shinigami, so naturally he had no desire to enter the Seireitei, so he did not follow Ichigo to the Seireitei, which caused Ichigo to fall into a situation of one against two.

Fortunately, before entering Seireitei, Kaein gave Ichigo a brief special training. In addition, Ikkaku and Yumichika are quite good at maintaining the rules of martial arts. At the beginning, the situation appeared to be one against two, but Ichigo was found by Ikkaku. So after his insistence, Yumichika turned to a spectator, watching the battle between Ikkaku and Ichigo.

Due to the influence of their own captain Zaraki Kenpachi, the shinigami of the Eleventh Division likes to use the Zanpakuto to slash directly rather than any kind of fancy abilities. When Ikkaku was in Rukongai, he was defeated by Zaraki, so he was even more influenced by Zaraki. What's more, under his mad dog-like offensive, Ichigo fell into a disadvantage at the beginning, but it has to be said that there are always people in the world who cannot be viewed with common sense, and Ichigo is obviously such a person.

Falling into a desperate situation during the battle made him even stronger.

An unconscious swing of Zanpakuto allowed him to cut off the Hōzukimaru in Ikkaku's hand, and then severely injured Ikkaku.

This made Yumichika, who was on the sidelines, unable to keep watching. He also started fighting against Ichigo. In the end, at the cost of various, Yumichika was also defeated by Ichigo.

Ichigo's determination to spare no effort for rescuing his partners also moved Ikkaku and Yumichika.

In the end, it was Yumichika who was less injured, bandaged the wounds of Ikkaku and Ichigo.

The two gave up chasing Ichigo, and told Ichigo the direction of the Repentance Palace where Rukia was held captive.

Ichigo continued to move forward. In the process, he encountered many shinigamis' siege, some with malicious intentions, and some who deliberately went easy on him and helped him... until he met with the Fourth Division's Yamada Hanataro, with whose help he was able to escape from the siege, and able to approach the Repentance Palace from the sewers, but when he came out from the sewer near the entrance of the Repentance Palace, Abarai Renji, the vice-captain of Sixth Division appeared in front of Ichigo and Hanataro.

Renji hated Ichigo so much that he believed that Rukia being sentenced to Sōkyoku was solely because of Ichigo.

Another battle broke out.

In the end, Renji also failed miserably.

The defeat of Renji, the vice-captain of the Sixth Division, caused an uproar among the Seireitei. After all, shinigami at the vice-captain level is second only to the captain-level combat power in the entire Gotei 13.

His defeat undoubtedly told the rest of the shinigami how powerful the Ryoka was.

This made many shinigami feel a little on the nerve.

But the real change happened the next day.

In the early morning, a woman's scream came from the direction of the East Holy Wall, and then the captain of the Tenth Division, Hitsugaya Toshiro, rushed there and saw a corpse nailed at the top of the wall by a Zanpakuto.

The body was, Captain of Fifth Division, Aizen Sosuke.

He was killed and pinned there with his own Zanpakuto.

"Oh, what a miserable situation."

Another annoying voice sounded.

Toshiro and Momo looked at the direction of the voice, and saw two figures walking leisurely towards them.

Third Division's Captain Kyo Mazuru and Vice-captain Ichimaru Gin, and the one who spoke those words was Gin.

(T.L Note: We all know what Momo's going to do… Personally I would like Mazuru to beat her up and knock some sense into her defective brain)
