11 Chapter 10

The doctor was dismissed and he wasted no time in leaving Andras's mansion despite his great interest in the true identity of the girl wrapped in the arms of the infamous killer, Andras Mabuz.

Despite her fever, Mallori got up from the bed and headed for the door, but Andras reacted quickly and stopped her before she could get out. The sudden movement had caused her face to flush up a bit, but she ignored the discomfort she felt at moving and instead said, "I go. She die." Having somehow gotten used to her way of speaking, he asked, "Will you go to the funeral?" She shook her head a no and slightly lost her balance as she got dizzy. Andras balanced her by holding her shoulders and then said, "Listen to me." Having her full attention, he continued, "You have a fever. You have something you want to do. So, I will help." She could see it from his eyes that he really meant it, but she still couldn't help asking, "Why?"

As she said that simple word of question her flushed feverish face looked all the more gorgeous and he couldn't help, but lean down and give her a little butterfly kiss on her lips before picking her up and laying her down on the bed. Only when she was on the bed and tucked under the sheets, did he finally answer with dark grey eyes and a husky low voice, "Because YOU are mine." She smiled softly in response to his answer. There was a comfortable silence for a while until Mallori sighed and then asked, "Madam dead. She will die. Have to find her." Andras asked the obvious, "Who is the 'she' you are referring to?" Without the slightest hesitation, she replied, "Mom" "Your mother?" she nodded a yes, and then Andras took a moment to think this through.

Mallori is saying that her mother will die because the old Madam of the Mallory family has died. What he didn't understand was why her mother would die because of the Madam? If to assume they are related then it would be right to assume that Mallori's mother would be the Madam's daughter or daughter-in-law. Not being able to come up with a sensible reason, Andras asked, "Why so?" "Mom will be alone and die.", replied Mallori. As always she was vague to the highest degree, but what Andras understood was that he should just find her mom and then Mallori will be fine.

Usually, he wouldn't follow further and just go with what he has been given, but something felt off, and as such Andras found himself asking, "Why aren't you with your mother then?" Mallori replied, "Stay in tower, mother not die. Madam said. I stay. But… Madam dead now. Mom alone again" Her eyes started tearing up and not wanting to see her like that he pulled on her soft cheek hard. Despite his effort, a single tear escaped her eye. He wiped it away and looked at her with his soft grey eyes. His eyes brought a wave of comfort to her and she found herself relaxing and letting her eyes close. Before falling into sleep, she heard him say, "The Mallory family, huh?" It sounded more like a statement towards himself than actually a question.

The next morning when Mallori woke up she noticed that there wasn't anyone sleeping next to her. She also seemed to not have a fever anymore, as she felt much better. She got up from the bed and checked the bathroom, but there was no sign of him there either. That was when she noticed that she was alone once more. A frown formed on her lips, noticing how much she had enjoyed being in the company of someone after spending so many years alone looking out the window. Looking out of the window of this room, all that she could see was the woods and no sign of life whatsoever. She sighed and finally took the time to carefully look around where she had come and what she was wearing.

The room was simply but elegantly furnished there was nothing extra or personal present. It looked like something she would see in a catalog that she would be given from time to time to look at. Then noticing how baggy her clothes were and the familiar scent, she smiled. This must belong to him is what she ended up concluding. The scent created a warm feeling that she embraced. She painstakingly repositioned the sofa in the room to face the window. She sat there and just stared out like a bird in a cage. It didn't even occur to her to check if the room was locked or not or to even get out of the bedroom. She simply just sat there letting time just fly by.

Finding a way to get into the Mallory family was proving to be quite a task. Andras Mabuz had put Wilhelm Rogers, who had returned from his trip, on the case of the Mallory break-in. If he was to find the mother of Mallori, he needed to somehow find a person from the family that would be able to help him to do so. If his guess was right, it wouldn't be as simple as calling her up and asking for an appointment. She is most probably being held with the threat of her daughter being hurt like the way Mallori was locked up in that Glass Tower for so long with no type of direct security.

He had left early in the morning when he was sure that Mallori's fever had gone down. He had made sure to leave the room door open so that she could go to the kitchen to have some food when she woke up. He didn't feel any need to lock her up anymore because to him it was clear that she had no plans of leaving. Furthermore, she had already decided to be his and had proved it too. What more did he need to hear? Even if she did try to escape, where could she go? His place was located in the middle of nowhere and was surrounded by woods. On foot, she wouldn't be able to go far, and he could just simply trace her and end her if such a thing were to happen anyways. He would kill her if he so little becomes suspicious of her planning something.

When he had with the help of Wilhelm finalized a route to get into the Mallory family, it was already evening with the sky giving way to the oncoming darkness. Wilhelm who was sitting on the sofa not too far from his desk was playing around with his lighter, flicking it open and closing it. Andras had become accustomed to the familiar routine of Wilhelm and didn't mind the noise he created. Wilhelm was one of his best killers who specialized at arson and mass killing. He was great with fire. Andras remembering something called out to him. Wilhelm tucked in the lighter into his pocket and walked up to Andras's desk.

Wilhelm was a tall man with a long bony face. He was taller than Andras by a good 7 cm. The right side of his plain face was covered by his bangs. He naturally had a dark aura about him that repelled others. Despite his looks, however, he was rather calm and a gentleman. Excluding the fact that he loved to see people burn, he could be considered the best type of man one could call a friend.

"Don't you have a sister?" asked Andras having had remembred Wilhelm once mentioning such a person.

"I do, Master Mabuz," Wilhelm replied. Andras internally sighed. Wilhelm was the type of man that would simply only answer what he was asked and no more. At times it was his best trait and at other times his worst.

"Where is she?"

Taking a quick look at his black strapped watch, he replied, "At the Dancing Room, most likely."

Taking a quick look at the information in his head, he didn't remember having a female killer with the same last name as Wilhelm. The female killers could be counted on a single hand so there is no way that he is mistaken. Taking a moment to double check, Andras asked, "You have different last names?"

"Yes"

"Call her here. I need something to be done."

"Yes"

Wilhelm wasted no step or words when he was asked to do something. He came back with his sister in tow. Andras first thought was, "She was his sister! Wouldn't have guessed it in a million years." She was the last female killer that had joined the Waltz of the Dead, her specialty was killing using drugs. He is the firefighter of the family and she is the doctor of the family, it really was quite a show. Andras slightly smiled at how he pictured family gatherings would be with such a pair of siblings. Quite quiet, he would think.

Examing her from toe to head and taking in her sense of style, Andras was satisfied and said, "You will do." Wilhelm assessing what he had said, replied, "She is married, Master." Andras looked at Wilhelm with disbelief. Who would have guessed that Wilhelm would have such a protective tendency towards his little sister? Andras smirked as he leaned back in his chair and with a deadly smile asked, "Why should I require that piece of information, Wilhelm?" He dared not reply and neither did his sister. Knowing that they had both misunderstood him, he didn't bother to explain as they would soon realize it themselves.

He told the two to follow him as they headed to a car and a killer sat in the driver's seat. When the killer asked where to go, Andras simply said, "Department store" The siblings were left confused. They couldn't understand why Master Mabuz would ask them to accompany him to the department store. Wilhelm was going to inquire the reason, but before he had the chance, Andras closed his eyes, showing that he was not to be disturbed. They could only sit quietly.

When they reached the department store, finally Andras spoke, "I need enough clothes to fill a closet for a woman." Looking at Veronic, Wilhelm's sister, he stated, "She has a body shape close to yours, but she is more…small. Her height is 3-5 cm more than yours. You are here to shop for her. Everything that she would need." Veronic having understood what was required of her from this trip to the department store replied with a nod of a head and started walking towards a store.

As Wilhelm and Andras waited while Veronic continued to pick more and more clothes from pajamas to cocktail dresses, Wilhelm found it a rather odd situation and asked, "Then why am I here?" before Andras could reply, Veronic turned towards her older brother and said, "Obviously to carry the bags." He seemed to have accepted his role as he nodded with a satisfied look, Andras let it be as such.

By the time everything was bought and the three people along with a bunch of shopping bags were headed towards the Waltz of the Dead, Veronic seeing that the Master was in a good mood decided to have the courage and asked, "Who might this woman be?" Knowing exactly who she was referring to, Andras with a dark face that smiled brightly answered, "Someone of mine."

When they reached the Waltz of the Dead, the shopping bags were transferred to his car, and he wasted no time in driving to his home. He planned to have Mallori put on a fashion show for him and only him as she tried on every piece of clothing that he had bought. What a lovely view that would be.

Wilhelm and Veronic who had seen such a peculiar side of their boss couldn't help, but to think that the woman must be quite someone to have changed their usual dead expressionless cold boss into a smirking man. The evil smirking Andras was much scarier to them than the cold expressionless one as it was completely foreign to them. Wilhelm and Veronic still staring at the road that Andras had disappeared to, both had the same internal thought, "This could be a weakness. Let's not speak of it." They both turned at each other and then with a nod of their heads went their separate ways as they entered the Waltz of the Dead. Their mental connection on a higher level than twins, it was.
