Stay away from me!

Brian's POV

When Bella called me to tell me that Candy was already on the roof top, I immediately rushed to meet her there.

When I got there, I saw her looking scared and probably searching for something or someone. I breathed in and approached her the moment I saw she was starting to get angry.

She didn't look surprised to see me and it seemed like she knew that I was the one she was supposed to meet here because she said something about being in a hurry and not interested in what in what I wanted to say.

She tried to walk away but I freaked out because if she leaves, I might not get this chance again and so I said "It can't wait Candy, I like you". She froze at the spot and because she was backing me, I couldn't see the reaction on her face.

I was curious and I wanted to see her facial expression and so I slowly held her wrist and turned her around. I was surprised to see that her eyes were cold and burning with rage, then she said in a hoarse voice "Do you think I'm some kind of toy you can play with? Do i look stupid to you? You and your girlfriend think you can trick me into falling in love with you and then in the end, you break my heart and make me a laughing stock huh".

I was shocked at her accusations and questioned myself inwardly "Who the hell is giving her these ideas?". As though she read my thoughts, she continued "Oh, you're shocked that I know of your plans to play me. I heard it directly from your loudmouth girlfriend and her friends when I eavesdropped on their conversation".

I was speechless but that only gave her the leverage to continue with what she was saying unperturbed "You know I almost believed that you've changed for the better and I was ready to give you a second chance at friendship but luckily I found out too soon that you're just a slithering cunning snake. From now onwards, I don't to see you anywhere to I and my friends. Stay away from me!" She yelled out the last statement and ran off.

I didn't even get a chance to say something. I let out a dry chuckle and just stood there glaring at the sky with lots of thoughts going through my mind.

Candy's POV

I rushed straight into the classroom to get my bags and ran all the way to the parking lot where the cab I ordered was waiting for me. I immediately apologized to the driver and got in. He simply nodded his head and drove off after asking me where I'm going to.

My head was pounding and I felt like my chest wants to burst open because of everything I said earlier. Immediately I got home, I payed the cab man, walked into the house and went straight to my room to avoid any questions from Mum and Dad.

I dropped my bag on the bed, kicked off my sneakers and ran into the bathroom to shower. I took a cold bath in order to calm as I was tense and felt heated up. I later went down for dinner acting normal to avoid suspicions because my parents are extra cautious with me since the cold room incident.

I greeted Dad and Mum and they responded with lots of questions on how my day went. I noticed Simon absence from dinner and asked "Hey Mum, mind telling me where your son is". She smiled and told me that he's over at a friend's place for the night. I nodded and just concentrated on eating and answering Dad's numerous questions.

After dinner, I cleared the table and went back to my room. While doing my homework, an apology text from Bella came through and it reads thus ;

"Girl, I'm sorry on the little prank I played to

get you to the roof top top. Brian forced

me to do so. I wanted to tell you about it

but I was afraid you wouldn't go and then

he'll come for me. I'm so sorry babe. Good

night 🥺".

I giggled at the text and replied thus

"Hey, stop apologizing okay, I know how evil

that guy can be, so don't worry about it. I

met him and I gave him a piece of my

mind and I hope he got the message. Good

night love 🥰".

I put down the phone and said inwardly "I really hope he did".
