MY FIRST DATE

It was a glorious, colorful morning We'd just left the coffee shop. When we walked by, she had giggled and pulled me inside, saying, "C'mon, let's be basic white girls and get some pumpkin spice!"

I don't like coffee. I never had. But when she handed me my cup and looked into my eyes while I tried it, it was the best thing I'd ever tasted.

My hand still tingled where she grabbed it.

As we walked through the park with our drinks, a light drizzle began to fall. She pulled out an umbrella from her bag, I pulled up my hood and hunched my shoulders.

"Don't be silly," she giggled, pulling me under the umbrella with her. I couldn't help but laugh too, her laugh was infectious.

As the sun started to shine again, she pulled me down to sit on a bench. She beamed down at me, and I could only gaze back adoringly.

"So Kendy…" She began. I knew this tone of voice, it's dangerous.

"Who do you like?" She whispered, and I looked away. I wanted to say, 'you, you, a thousand times you. You're the only one I can ever think about. You're gorgeous and sweet and funny and…'

Instead, I shrugged my shoulders and looked down at my cup.

She looked at me with a cautious smile. "If I tell you mine, will you tell me yours?"

"Okay." I said.

"The person I like… …is you."

I drop my drink.

"I've been wanting to tell you for a while though .I know you are not interested in me but I.."I covered her mouth with my hand .

She looked at me with surprise . I took a deep breath

"Valare I_"

My voice cought in my throat.She removed my hand from her mouth and leaned in a tiny bit closer.

"what is it?"She asked looking concerned.

Because I didn't seem to form the words, I told her how o felt the way I was to.

Before I could loose my courage I leaned forward pressing my lips to hers.After that her momentary shock faded as She kissed me back as her lips moved against mine.It was like there was fire on my veins.

Her hands gently cupped my face as mine timidly grabbed her by the waist.she pulled me deeper into the kiss running her tongue along my lips and nearly making me mourn.

"I can't believe this is happening"I thought.

We finally broke apart when we were both completely breathless,She tilted her head so forheads and touching.

"woow,"She whispered.I nodded in a reply.

"Kendy_so does this mean_"She stammered.This was the first time I've ever seen Valare at loss of words.I felt a bit proud of myself.

Finally getting courage I grapped her hands pulling her to her feet.

"Valare,will you be my girlfriend?"I asked her.

She squealed jumping up and down,in that way I thought it was adorable,but was never able to tell her,so I told her.

"you are adorable."

I had never have seen Valare blush before either,but She did.She pulled me into her hug as I settled on her shoulders

"So,isthat a yes?"I whispered against her skin,and she giggled , grabbing my hand and spinning me around.

"Ofcouse that's a yes,silly"she laughed .

"good"i said "because now can I do this again"

I pressed my lips on hers and to was like everything else in the world faded.

Over and over I kept thinking,"I can't believe you are mine."I was still thinking the next year when we will still move on together.

"Kendy ,"she called"what are you thinking?"

She awaked me from my deep thoughts about our future.
