1 The Four Precious Jackets (The five wings)

Introduction The four precious jackets is a fiction story which is all about motivation, struggle, determi-nation and self-courage. The story will amuse you at many stages but the story is penned for the purpose of encouraging many youths. There come many such situations alike in our lives but quitting isn't the solution though we don't see any accurate solution in front of us but as it is said, "Smooth seas don't make skillful sailors." In such situations, we have to become a person like Kalvin who doesn't lose hope in the duration of those 2 years before finally he gets success to save his family. As it is said, "Tough time doesn't last but tough people do." So, we must become those tough people who can patiently wait for the bad time to go and for the good time to come. In this story, the lead role is of Kalvin and his three loyal friends. Kalvin is a very serious person while his friends; Paule, Donald and Michelle are very interesting characters and they are the persons who are with him in every good or bad situation. You will not get the meaning of four precious jackets in the starting but it will be clarified to you when the story reaches the middle. The story of King Steve The Great starts while Kalvin starts searching the room of his father, the diary written by his father compels him to read the full story of his father who served his complete life to his kingdom (2nd wing). The story has many complexities which will make you in deep thoughts while you go through it. Hope the story makes you entertained and becomes a source of lesson as well.

Chapter 1 (An earth shocking day)

The sun rays demolished entire 2nd wing. Only Kalvin and his friends Paule, Donald and Michelle remained alive. The rays burnt all and sundry but only there remained a tree in 2nd wing which couldn't be burnt.

Kalvin (with a loud voice): Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!"

Michelle: What happened Kalvin let us sleep it's early.

Kalvin: Everything is lost, there's nothing left. Our families, friends, building and the animals, all are lost. Wake up!

Paule: Huh! (Screaming with a loud voice) Mom, Dad, Suzain where are you! Where are you!

By hearing the voice Michelle and Donald also wake up and get shocked by seeing a flat ground instead of their huge kingdom.

Donald: How is it possible? Where are all? What happened here and how did it happen so quickly and without any noise? How are we unaware of this all situation? Shit!

Kalvin: Let's go and check what happened.

When Kalvin puts the left leg forward, the leg gets invisible because of the sun rays and Kalvin steps backward swiftly. All of them sit under the tree and start thinking what is going on?

Steve The Great: Kalvin, you are back and now it is your time to take care of the 2nd wing. I am old and need rest. I can't take this responsibility anymore from tomorrow you will be the King of 2nd wing and I am giving you this precious jacket but not to take it off. Whatever happens not to take off this jacket.

Kalvin: But why not?

Steve: You will get it when the time comes for you to know.

Kalvin: Dad, still there is time, I have recently come from the mountains and just I know how to fight with sword and defend myself but don't know how to use the bow let me become an expert then for sure I will take your place.

Steve: The time will teach you all. It will make you an expert my son just don't lose hope. Take this jacket and it is yours from today. Take care of it and fight for it till the last breath.

Kalvin: I will try my best to protect it.

Paule: Kalvin! Kalvin! Kalvin! What are you thinking? What should we do? We can't just sit we have to do something.

Kalvin: It all happened because of this jacket. Though father told me not to take it off but I don't know how I took it off and slept here. It is all my mistake! (Starts screaming)

Paule: Wear the jacket fast may the things get alright. Fast!

Kalvin wears the jacket fast but nothing happens. All start shouting and screaming and the three friends start blaming Kalvin for what happened. Kalvin tries to convince them but they are very emotional at that moment and aren't ready to hear anything. Again they sit under the tree and Kalvin remembers his father's words who told, "If something bad happens directly go towards my room, you will get a solution. And remember everything can get alright if you are willing to make it alright." And when the sun descends their huge kingdom comes again in existence. All of them get happy and start celebrating but this time the kingdom is just a kingdom of huge buildings with no people. By seeing this, again all of them get disappointed and again start shouting and screaming. Kalvin remembers what his father told him and swiftly goes towards his father's room. He is very nervous and gets an unbearable pain in his head which compels him to lay on the bed and gets unconscious over there. Three friends wait for him outside the room when it gets near to dusk they start knocking the door and when they don't get any response they open the door and enter the room. When they see Kalvin unconscious they directly take him and go under the tree. When they reach under the tree the sun rays again ascend and the kingdom gets invisible once again. They take some food and water under the tree as Kalvin orders. By pouring some drops of water on Kalvin's face he gets up. When he sees that the kingdom is again invisible he starts shouting and says, "Why dad, why did you give such responsibilities to an irresponsible person like me. I am not able to take such responsibilities please come back and take your responsibilities once again."

Donald: What did you do Kalvin, you finished all. We faced every situation but how will we face this? How can we live without families?

Kalvin: If it is because of me then I promise till my last breath I will try to make everything the same as it was before. If it takes one month or my entire life but from today my purpose is just one and that is to make the kingdom the same as it was.

Michelle: Brother, we know you didn't do this intentionally and we are with you till our last breath.

Paule and Donald: He is right brother we both are with you as well.

Again the sun descends and the kingdom again gets visible. All of them rush towards the building to find if anyone is there but they don't see anyone. Then Kalvin enters the room of his father once again and starts searching. He opens the wardrobe but just finds clothes and a sword with four lines on the cover on it. He closes the wardrobe then starts searching every corner of the room. After searching a lot, he finds a map under the bed he opens the map but doesn't get the written words on it. After trying a lot he doesn't get anything. Then, on the shelf he gets a diary. The diary also contains the four lines like the cover of the sword. Without wasting time he opens the diary.

The wordings of the last page makes Kalvin in deep thoughts. It is written on the page that the death of your son can save the kingdom.

After seeing the line he closes the diary and puts it back. He starts sweating and shivering and calls his friends for help. When they see him in such a condition they take him and go towards the tree.

Donald: Where is Paule?

Paule: I am right here.

Michelle: Where were you?

Paule (nervously): Nowhere just had a look towards the kingdom.

In the morning, they sleep and at night they wake up. When they wake up at night. Kalvin rushes towards the room, directly opens the diary and starts reading. On the first page it is written, it was the happiest day when I brought my kingdom again in existence. But it wasn't that easy. It took 2 years to do so. The coldness of the mountains tried to break my courage and the thirst of the desert took my all energy but it was the kingdom which made me alive. There was no hope to get my kingdom and my family back but traveling to find a hope to bring them back was the only promise that I could do and I did to myself. The most surprising moment of the journey was to fight with strangers like enemies. Though, I didn't know them but they treated me like enemies. I don't know why but I felt as if they were testing me and fortunately, I had learnt how to fight in the mountains just before sometimes and had the ability to defeat them all with my companions who were as brave as I was. After reading the first page Kalvin gets a hope to bring back his kingdom. When he closes the book a light appears and it is written on the cover of the diary don't waste your time with this story get ready for traveling.

He puts the diary back on the shelf, opens the wardrobe, takes the sword and the map under the bed. He comes out from the room and tells his friends, "If you want the kingdom back in existence then get ready for traveling. Take your swords, your fighting suit and your bows. When you take all these go under the tree and wait for me." Without asking anything they go and take all and go under the tree. Kalvin takes all his necessary tools for fighting and takes some food and water with him and goes under the tree.

Donald: Where are we going to go?

Kalvin: I also don't know but soon, we all will come to know. After replying, Kalvin puts the map on the ground and asks them if anyone knows and understand the wordings of the map. When all answer no then, a strange voice comes, which says, "I know the wordings of the map." All get shocked and start asking nervously, who are you? The answer comes, it's me the tree, this map was made under me and it was made for the same purpose for which you are carrying it.

Kalvin: What kind of a purpose?

Tree: For the purpose to save this kingdom.

Kalvin: How do you know?

Tree: It was made under me.

Kalvin: How can we get where to go?

Tree: Put your sword on the map.

When Kalvin puts the sword a very bright light appears and after that, one line of the map gets bright and glows. The words on a side are Hell and on the other side are Heaven. Kalvin gets that the point Hell is our kingdom and the heaven is where we have to go to seek help. But the problem was how to get protected from the sun? Kalvin asks the tree but there is no reply and the sun rays ascend. They all wait for the sun to descend and when it descends they all again, go in the kingdom. Kalvin goes in his father's room. When he enters the room, he feels that somebody has caught him from back side and he can't move. He is being dragged towards the bed and he is tightened till he gets asleep and in the dream he sees a man with long beard and a stick in his hand who says, "Don't be afraid my son you are the new king of 2nd wing and you have to take this kingdom out from this hard time. To show that you have the capacity to handle any situation. The words I am telling you will protect you from the sun rays. Tell them loudly and tell your friends to do so. The words are, THE THUNDERS DIDN'T STOP THE COURAGEOUS, THE FLOOD DIDN'T STOP THE COMMITTED, THE FIRE DIDN'T STOP THE DETERMINED SO THE SUN RAYS WON'T STOP US AS WELL. SUCCESS IS OURS AND DEFEAT IS ENEMY'S. (Kalvin wakes up) he directly opens the door and with his friends goes under the tree. When the sun rays ascend he and his friends repeat the same words loudly. The foot of Kalvin heels and gets visible but when they try to step out of the shade the tree says loudly, "stop! Not to do that!" Kalvin: But why?

Tree: There is something which you have to put here and at the moment that is with one of your friends.

Kalvin: Who the hell is having that!

Paule: Sorry, please forgive me. I took it to kill you and take the revenge of my parents but then I realized that I was wrong. Please, forgive me I am not dishonest or disloyal but just the emotions made me do so but I swear not to do any such act again and I will sacrifice my life to protect you.

Kalvin: Show me that what that is!

Paule: It is the knife with four lines about which the tree is talking.

He gives the knife to Kalvin in a shivering manner and then Kalvin takes the knife and again puts it in front of him and says, "how could you think so, that I can kill your family why, wasn't my family there in the incident? Your punishment is, take the knife and kill yourself."

Paule (In a sad manner): I am ready and it should be my punishment for such an act. He takes the knife and puts it on his neck. When he is about to kill himself. Kalvin says fast, "stop! Not to do any such act, I am sure you aren't so. And we will bring our kingdom and our families back in existence if we are courageous, determined and self-motivated.

Donald: You are right brother we will serve our last drop of blood for saving our kingdom.

Then the tree says, "Without wasting your time dig a hole and put this knife here in this hole it will protect your kingdom until you come back with the jacket."

They dig a hole and put the knife in the hole.

Tree: Success is waiting for you, go and bring a good news with you. But remember the hardships will try to make you hopeless and this long period will try to break you but you have to be like those legends who faced every situation patiently.

Kalvin: Ready? Then, it is the time to leave. Let's go and this time, it is the battle between us and time. If we win, our families and our kingdom will get safe and if the time wins to break us then we will have to die with the regret that we couldn't do anything for our families and our kingdom.

Michelle: Let's go brother, we will fight till death and with death to save our families and kingdom. And when they step out of the shade, the sun doesn't affect them and four brown horses appear in front of them. They jump on the horses and go towards their journey. A journey which could save all or save none.

Chapter 2 (The First Journey)

Kalvin, with his three friends leaves the kingdom for the journey to save the devastated kingdom. It is a journey about whose hardships neither Kalvin knows nor his friends. But it is going to be the toughest journey for Kalvin and his friends. Not just for Kalvin but for everyone such a journey is going to be very tough when you don't know what you are going to face.

The first hurdle which they face is the Northern Empire. When the soldiers of Northern Empire see them they directly attack on them but the sword with four lines save them all. No doubt, fighting 100 soldiers isn't easy but Kalvin and his friends were the part of (Broken wing). Broken wing is an academy which prepares the soldiers for the worst situations and Kalvin and his friends were the best fighters out there. They kill the 100 soldiers without hesitating but by doing so the Northern Empire becomes the worst enemy of them and their focus is Kalvin. They never want to kill Kalvin but want Kalvin to become the part of them to destroy their enemy (4th wing) which would never happen. Finally, at a night when Kalvin and his friends are resting in the jungle, the soldiers of Northern Empire tighten them with ropes and take them to the empire.

Galovin (The king of Northern Empire): Why are you all here? Why did you enter my boundary? Kalvin: We are here.... Before Kalvin says anything a voice stops Kalvin and says, "Not to tell them anything my son. They are your enemies, they will not let you if you tell them anything.

Galovin: Here for what?

Kalvin (in an innocent manner): We are traders and here for trading but your soldiers attacked on us and we were compelled to retaliate. We didn't mean to do so but compulsion made us do so.

Galovin: Oh! Traders? Really? Hahahaha! My army is so weak that four traders finished 100 skillful soldiers. What a joke.

Donald: Mister King, it is the reality and we heard you are very kind and very handsome. So it was our desire to see you. (Tries to convince him with his words and other both laugh).

Galovin: Shut up! What do you think, I am a fool? Tell me the reality. Otherwise, you will be imprisoned.

Paule: No, no, hummm, we really like your styles, you are impressive and I know you will not make such innocent kids like us imprisoned.

Michelle: Hah! See Galovin we don't know each other but we can be great friends you know, so, can we become friends?

Galovin: Take them all to the prison and hit them with the thickest stick until they tell the reality or till they don't accept our deal.

Kalvin: What's the deal?

Galovin: The deal is, you should accept to destroy the (4th wing) with us and I will make you free.

Donald: Oh, it means you accept that your army is weaker than us yeah.

Kalvin: Sorry, Galovin but we are not in the mood of fighting.

Galovin: Drag them all towards the prison and torture them till they don't tell the reality or accept the deal. When they are being taken towards the prison Paule asks with a low voice, "Kalvin, where is the sword and the map?" "I hide them over there under the tree." Kalvin replies. "Don't murmur!" Says the soldier. For 2 days they hit them with thick sticks and burn them with hot iron and finally Kalvin remembers his master's words who said to them during their training that in some kingdoms the prisons have secret holes which are hidden and they can be a way for you to escape in any such case. These holes are made by the kings so that if they are imprisoned then they can run from these holes. And they don't know in which prison they will be kept so they put hole in every prison. So, Kalvin tells the complete story to his friends and they start searching for the hole but after searching a lot they don't find any hole and get disappointed. When one of the soldiers brings food for them then Michelle gets very angry and hits the plate after eating with the wall and the crack makes them shocked and happy. With 2 kicks the wood put to hide the hole breaks and they successfully escape from there. When they reach their resting place, their all the things are safe. They start their journey once again and after spending three months on the way they see that they have just traveled a quarter of the way. Then till the end of 4th month they reach the mountains which are very cold and Kalvin remembers what his father wrote in the diary and tells his friends that this cold will try to break our courage but if we break then there is no way left to bring our families and our kingdom back in existence.

We have to bear this coldness. The 2 months in the mountains make them sick and the frozen ice breaks their courage and all of them fell on the way while traveling but, the sudden sound gives energy to all. Which says, "DON'T YOU DARE TO QUIT, DON'T YOU DARE TO LOSE COURAGE, and DON'T YOU DARE TO GET DEMOTIVATED. DON'T YOU REMEMBER WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS ALL, DON'T YOU REMEMBER HOW ARE YOUR FAMILIES, DON'T YOU REMEMBER YOU PROMISED TO SACRIFICE THE LAST DROP OF BLOOD FOR PROTECTING YOUR FAMILIES AND YOUR KINGDOM. THIS WAS THE COURAGE? WAS IT ALL? IS IT ENOUGH? ARE YOU HAPPY THAT YOUR FAMILIES SHOULD DIE OVER THEIR IN SUCH A PAINFUL MANNER? MY SONS STAND UP, HAVE COURAGE, YOUR JOURNEY HAS JUST STARTED, THERE ARE MANY SUCH TROUBLES AND THERE ARE MANY SUCH OBSTACLES WHICH WILL MAKE YOU FED UP OF THIS BUT YOU ARE NOT BROUGHT ON THIS JOURNEY FOR QUITTING. YOU HAVE TO BEAR THIS. SEE THE HOURSE STANDING WITH YOU, DO THEY LOOK TIRED? ARE THEY ABOUT TO QUIT? NO, BECAUSE THEY HAVE PATIENCE AND YOU HAVE TO HAVE PATIENCE AS WELL. STAND UP, IT IS YOUR TIME TO SAVE YOUR EMPIRE FROM THE ENEMIES." Kalvin: We will not quit, we will win and we will make our enemies dead. (With a weak but a loud voice). They all stand and get ready for the journey once again. They jump towards their horses and this time even if a mountain comes in front of them they will move it but not stop. Till the ending of the 7th month they cross the mountains and reach the empire named 3rd wing. The king of the 3rd wing has knowledge that they are coming for help and promises them to help them for their coming journey but says that they will have to fight the battle against Northern Empire with them. Before Kalvin rejects. A voice appears in Kalvin's ears and tells Kalvin accept the proposal. Kalvin accepts the proposal and asks the king "how did you know we are good at fighting." King replies, "You have left for this journey before 7 months and till the end of 10th month we will help you." "Ok fine we are ready." Says Kalvin. King orders the soldiers to show them their rooms and serve them well. Till the end of 8th month, the battle between 3rd wing and Northern Empire starts. In the duration of the war they serve the 3rd wing very well and kill all those 700 soldiers who came to destroy 3rd wing with the 300 army of 3rd wing. The war lasts for 3 months before they finally destroy and clean up the complete army of Northern Empire. The king of 3rd wing appreciates him for the victory and tells him that he expected the same. When Kalvin asks for help then he gives him the map of the 4th wing and tells him it is the final point where he has to reach and it is the place which is going to help him save his kingdom and tells him that it is as far as much you have traveled. They take the map and get on the way to their journey. This journey teaches them a lot and their patience in the duration of the journey is incredible but there is still half way to go and there is much to be experienced. Starting three months go in traveling in the start of the fourth month their horses start dying and one by one all their horses die. The toughest period starts, a journey without horses and in the 5th month the weather gets hot and the unbearable hotness of the 6th month makes them very weak finally they find a small house near there and go to seek help but the man has nothing to give them. When they ask him how is he living then he replies, "A bird every day brings some water to quench my thirst and a small piece of bread for eating." When they ask him how he reached there then he replies, "This is the kingdom of (The Wing) which got destroyed when the king and his companions were unable to defeat the Northern Empire." "Who was the king?" Asks Paule. "I was the king and it is my punishment which I am bearing out here and going to bear it till my death." Says the man. "Can we do anything for you?" Asks Kalvin. "No, your kingdom is waiting for you, go and make them out of this trouble." Replies the man. They start their journey and the rain helps them save some water and quench their thirst. They survive in the duration of the 6th month but in the starting of the 7th month their journey starts in a desert. They have some water and food stored with them which help them and they travel at night and in the morning the gifted cloth shelter from the king of 3rd wing helps them to rest but after those 15 day, the journey becomes tougher and tougher as the stored food and water gets finished. The thirst makes their lips dried and the hunger makes them lay under the shelter. They are unable to stand and fortunately a man passing through the same desert with his camel sees them, he stops and helps them and the man is going towards the 4th wing so they get a new companion and get out of the desert in the next month. They are traveling peaceful, 2 months go and a new trouble comes in front of them.

The man: It is the Northern Empire's army.

Kalvin: How is it possible? Northern empire is very far, how the army reached here?

The man: You have faced the Northern Empire THE GREAT and it is the separated part of that but has the same enemies and the same rules.

Kalvin: Oh shit! Now what to do? Can we get out safely?

The man: Let's give it a try.

They go forward and are not inquired. They go on when suddenly a soldiers shoots Kalvin from back with an arrow. But the jacket burns the arrow and all the soldiers get shocked.

Kalvin: You should be going we will catch you up.

The man: Ok but take care.

This time it is the army of 50 but Kalvin's and his all friend's energy is finished, they try their level best but can kill 20 and are caught. When they are being taken towards the kingdom Kalvin shouts and says, "The last fight for our kingdom kill them all." And the 3 friends also say the same, "The last fight for our kingdom." And they kill all of them. They take their horses and go towards their journey and reach to the man. It is finally 2 years when they reach the 4th wing. The king of the 4th wing welcomes all and congratulates them for their well-deserved victory. Kalvin is taken to the palace and a golden crown is put on his head and the king of the 4th wing tells him, "FROM NOW OWN YOU ARE THE KING OF 2ND WING YOU HAVE SAVED YOUR KINGDOM AND THE PEOPLE OF THE KINGDOM. BUT REMEMBER YOUR ENEMIES ARE ALWAYS WAITING FOR YOU. THEY WILL DO ANY KIND OF ACT TO DESTROY YOUR KINGDOM BUT YOU HAVE TO BE ON YOU TOES FOR ANY SITUATION. THE WIND, THE OCEAN, THE FIRE, THE COLDNESS, THE HOTNESS, THE COLD NIGHTS, THE HOT DAYS, THE HUGE MOUNTAINS, AND THE STRENGTHEN ARMIES NOTHING STOPPED US AND HOPE THEY WILL NOT STOP YOU AS WELL TO GET VICTORY.

And after wearing the crown Kalvin is made satisfied by king (Charlee) the king of 4th wing that his family, his kingdom and the people living there are safe.

Chapter 3 (The Journey To Kingdom)

After celebration, Kalvin and his friends are urged to stop for some days as they have injuries, they are weak and are not able to travel. So, the king (Charlee) don't let them go. After resting when they become fit and fine they plan to travel back towards their kingdom but before they leave, king (Charlee) calls Kalvin in his room and tells him that "There are many hurdles on the way which can make you disappointed but remember those got success who made themselves ready for any situation and remember killing isn't a solution."

Kalvin: What do you want to say? Can you make it clear?

Charlee: You will get it in the duration of the journey but be careful now your battle is with your loved ones. Go for the journey and you will get the complete picture but remember what I said. Kalvin is in deep thoughts after listening Charlee when he comes out, there are four horses ready for them and some necessary things like water and food for crossing the desert. Kalvin and his friends leave for the journey and everything is normal but the words of the king are still roaming in the mind of Kalvin. Who has problem with me? Who is he? If I know him, it will be the last day for him. Such many thoughts are roaming in his mind and his friends feel this change in him because he rarely talks with them and sits alone. After 4 months when they finally cross the desert. At a night when he wakes up he directly catches the neck of Paule and says to him, "You are my enemy, you want to kill me. I will not leave you, you will have to die." When Donald and Michelle wake up they pull him back. The anger can be seen by the red eyes. Paule would have died if they would have been a bit late. Kalvin sleeps rarely and spends his time in thinking and he spends the time alone. The most shocking moment is that when he takes the sword and tries to attempt suicide. Luckily, his friends see him and save him. He is getting mental. The words of the king make him mental and there is still the journey of 1 year left. One day all his friends plan to kill Kalvin and decide to kill him when he sleeps. Because they think if we don't kill him one day we will be killed by him.

The same night when the friends decide to kill Kalvin. Kalvin sees a dream in the dream the man with long beard and a stick appears and says, "THE JOURNEY IS ON THE MIDDLE POINT WHAT YOU KNOW IS CORRECT BUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS WRONG. WE MADE YOU AWARE ABOUT THE COMING DIFFICULTIES BUT A BRAVE MAN LIKE YOU SHOULD NOT GET WEAK. WAKE UP MY SON, YOU SHOULD JUST OBSERVE AND KEEP YOURSELF SAFE. MAKE YOURSELF THE SAME KALVIN WHICH YOU WERE BEFORE. YOU DON'T HAVE TO KILL ANYONE, THEY ARE COMPELLED TO DO WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO SEE RIGHT NOW."

When Kalvin wakes up he sees the sword in the hand of Paule and Donald and Michelle have caught his hands. When they see Kalvin's eyes opened they leave him and Paule puts the sword back in the cover. Kalvin stands up and says, "Our friendship was so weak? You couldn't bare me for this small period. It was your friendship? But still I have forgiven all. Just remember I don't trust you anymore." They start their journey once again and after 2 months Paule is worried about being punished by Kalvin for his act and every time thinks of plans to attack on Kalvin and kill him before getting punished but as Kalvin is always conscious Paule cannot do so. After six months when he sees the kingdom is near he decides to attack on Kalvin and at night when he sees all are sleeping he takes his sword and comes near Kalvin. Before the sword cuts off the head of Kalvin. Kalvin hits Paule's sword with his sword and by seeing Kalvin awaken, he starts shivering and says, "Sorry!" (Starts crying)

Kalvin: Why did you do so?

Paule (in a shivering manner): I was afraid of getting punished and before you punish me I wanted to kill you. Please, forgive me.

Kalvin: How could you think that I will punish you? I have spent most parts of my life with you then how will I punish you? I will never punish you don't be afraid. The next day their journey starts and again they start the journey with the same jokes and as the same old friends as they used to be. After a month they reach their destiny. They reach the place for which they faced all the hardships and bear all the pains. When they reach the kingdom, everyone gets jubilant to see their families. Kalvin is introduced as the new king of the kingdom and Paule, Donald and Michelle are those companions who never leave him.

Chapter 4 (The 5 wings)

Kalvin goes to his father for telling him the story of the journey but father has a story to be told.

Steve: Come Kalvin, sit here.

Kalvin: Hi dad, I am here to take your time and tell you about the amusing journey.

Steve: I have the complete knowledge what happened on the way. But the story that I am going to tell is the story about which you are unaware. And as the king you must know it.

Kalvin: What kind of a story?

Steve: The story which is related to the incident and this kingdom. It all started when we five brothers successfully completed our training from Broken Wing. I, Charlee, Ronald, Jackson and John and were back to our kingdom. After some days of rest father called all of us and told us. As you all have grown up and ready for taking responsibilities so without wasting time you should go towards your responsibilities. Our kingdom was vast and among us the eldest (John) was made the king of 1st wing, I was made the king of 2nd wing, My brother Jackson was made the king of 3rd wing, Charlee was made the king of 4th wing and the youngest Ronald was made the king of The Great Wing. The Great Wing was the place where our father served as the king. We all went towards our places and took our responsibilities. At that time we had just one enemy and that was Galovin the king of Northern Empire.

Kalvin: Why is Galovin our enemy?

Steve: Galovin used to be the best friend of our father but as he always wanted to take father's place and when finally father became aware of his thoughts so he took him out from the kingdom. When he was taken out from the kingdom, he decided to retaliate. And as he was a great warrior so he joined Northern Empire whose king was a very kind person and had a good relation with us. When Galovin joined the empire he was selected as the commander of army and decisively he killed the king and became the king.

Since then, he started attacking our kingdom and every year near 300 soldiers from every Kindom die in the fight against them.

Kalvin: Why don't you all together attack on him?

Steve: It is not possible our complete army is half of his army.

Kalvin: Isn't there any possible way to finish them?

Steve: There is a way but no one dares to do so.

Kalvin: What is the way?

His father stands up and brings the diary kept on the shelf and tells him to read it in his free time. Kalvin takes the diary and stands up. His father sees him, smiles and says, "Son, you are my everything and remember this diary will make you emotional but have control over your emotions and yourself."

Kalvin: I will try not to get emotional but if I get emotional it will be the last day for Northern Empire.

He gets out of his father's room and quickly goes towards his room. When he enters the room, he directly lays on the bed and starts reading the diary. As he has already read the first page so he goes towards the second page. And starts reading the page which is all about his father's companions. The wordings of the second page are: My companions never left me alone and were always ready to sacrifice their lives for me. In the duration of these 2 years, I knew how much loyal they are to me and the page was all about the friends and companions of his father. But when he turned the page, the wordings of the 3rd page made him very much emotional that he stood up and started shouting and said, "Northern Empire now get ready it is my time to retaliate. I am coming to finish you Galovin. Your death is near and nobody can save you from me."

Chapter 5 (The Diary) The words of the diary which made Kalvin emotional were: It was as if the last day of my life when Galovin attacked my kingdom with his army. My wife Monica, my daughter Melica and My eldest son George were imprisoned by Galovin and killed. Just I and Kalvin remained alive. Every time I wanted to attack his empire but the promise of my wife didn't let me do so. She told me to take care of Kalvin and protect him and my attack could take my life and make Kalvin in danger as well. So, I didn't do so. As Kalvin promised to his father to have control over himself after half-hour he again takes the diary and starts reading. Other some pages which Kalvin reads are about the time which his father spent with his family. Ahead the point which shocks Klavin is: One day our father gathered all of us once again and told us, all these five precious jackets will help you protect your kingdoms from Northern Empire. We took them and asked father that are we safe from now then he replied that No, you are not safe. Every year you have to sacrifice 300 soldiers if you want to be protected. The jackets need the sacrifice of the soldiers and you can't end the Northern Empire from now own but you are protected. And remember a time comes when you get old and your sons will grow up and get ready to take care of your kingdoms. So, they will have to suffer for 2 years and the day you take out this jacket and give it to them the complete empire will get invisible till your sons don't successfully reach 4th wing and get accepted as the kings. And if they can't reach then that kingdom will be destroyed and your sons will have to suffer till death. He will get food and water but just as much that he can be alive. Then after hearing all this I asked father, "Can we tell our son about the incident which will happen and what will they have to do?" Father replied, no, you are not allowed to tell anything to them if you do so your jacket will break and the attack of Northern Empire will slaughter you all. Just you can give a hint to them of the incident. Then I asked father, isn't there any way to destroy the Northern Empire. Father replied, the Northern Empire can get destroyed when a son is ready to sacrifice his life. Which simply means the death of your son can save the complete kingdom and a day will come when one of your sons will fight against Northern Empire and win the battle but we will lose that legend who will do this to save the kingdom. After reading the diary, Klavin rushes to his father's room and tells father to wake up and says, "Father are The Great Wing and The Wing same?" Father replies, "Yes." So, Kalvin says sadly, "Father who is the king of The Great Wing?" Father replies, "My brother, Ronald."

Kalvin: No dad, on the journey we went in a house near the desert where we found a man who had nothing and told us that everyday a bird brings him some drops of water and a small piece of bread so that he should survive and when we asked him the reason he replied, this is his punishment because he failed to save his kingdom and his family and now he is suffering and when we asked him that can we help you he replied, "No dear, you should go and save your kingdom."

Steve: It means the place of our forefather The Great Wing got destroyed.

Kalvin: Yeah, and we couldn't do anything. I swear that I would help him if there was any way to help him. But dad, it is the time for the Northern Empire to get devastated because I am going to take the revenge of my complete family. Tomorrow, I am going for the war against Northern Empire. If I get helped from others or not but I will fight till my last breath. I am ready to sacrifice my life for saving these 4 wings. This is the ending time of their empire they must get ready for the defeat. Good night dad.

Steve knows that his words won't stop him and remains silent till he goes.

Chapter 6 (The Second Journey) Next morning, Kalvin and his friends get dressed with the swords in their hands and the bows on their back. Kalvin before leaving the kingdom gathers all the people of the kingdom and says, "Listen everyone, I am going for a war and may never come back but remember, if I fail to ruin Northern Empire then I want you all to get ready for the war. We are not weak but we made ourselves so. There is no such power that can defeat us when we are committed, determined and self-motivated. Everyone among you is the best warrior but you need to know your identity, you need to know who you are and what you are and when you come to know who you are and what you can do then for sure the heaviest rocks become weightless, the army of 1000 looks like 100 and the toughest time goes like minutes. Don't feel sad when I die rather be proud that your king died in a war to save all the kingdoms. Good bye everyone and hope the strength of our commitment will shatter Northern Empire."

With these words Kalvin leaves the kingdom with his friends. The target of Kalvin is to attack Northern Empire with an ally of all four wings. He, at first visits first wing where the king suggests him to do a meeting in his own kingdom and call all of the kings over there. So, he does what king Kelly son of John suggests him. He travels back to his kingdom and invites all. When all get united then Kalvin says, "The purpose to call you all over here is to convince you all on the point that I have planned to attack Northern Empire and take the revenge of all those lives which were sacrificed in the defense against Northern Empire. And for this attack I need your support."

Kelly: But for finishing the Northern Empire one has to sacrifice his life.

Kalvin: I will sacrifice my life. Just I want your armies not you because you have to take care of these kingdoms. From my kingdom I, my 3 friends and an army of 500 is ready for the war. How much army can you send for this war? But remember, you are doing this for your own safety.

Your kingdoms will live a prosperous life so think well before taking any decision.

Kelly: My five commanders and an army of 500 from first wing will support you.

Charlee (king of 4th wing): I announce an army of 600 and hope that you will get success. These cruel have left nothing for us.

Kalvin: Yeah, hope so and what about you Robert son of Jackson? Robert (king of 3rd wing): I am ready to contribute and want the Northern Empire to become a flat ground but what will our contributions do. They have an army of 5000 how will you defeat them? Our complete contributive army can't become half of theirs. Kalvin: Robert, you are right but remember war is not the game of how much your army is vast or big but it is the game of strength, motivation and determination. I know, the army we have is less but I will make the strength of this army equal to the army of 10000 then what is Galovin's army? They all will be trained under my command in the Broken Wing. After 15 days from today, my journey of gathering all will start. Galovin will try to attack your armies as he sees them together but their protection is my responsibility. It is my responsibility to take them safe to Broken Wing and make them trained and I guarantee you that our one will be equal to their 100. Robert: So, I also contribute an army of 600. Kalvin: Listen all, after 15 days from today, I will leave the kingdom with my army. I will reach all of you one by one. And I will gather all the armies in Broken Wing then I will send a notice to Northern Empire for the war and the next day of the notice we will leave for our journey. If anyone has objection they can tell. All agree and the meeting gets over. After 15 days, Kalvin with his friends and army leaves the kingdom and their journey starts towards the 1st wing. They reach the first wing and with the army they go towards the third wing after collecting the army of 3rd wing they still don't face any attack from Northern Empire. Kalvin gets shocked and knows that he is going to face something worse than he imagined. When he gathers the army of 4th wing on the way, they face an attack from the Northern Empire with an army of 2000. As Kalvin promised to protect the armies, so, he makes all armies back and orders his army to come in front. The army without any hesitation comes in front as Kalvin trained them before the journey. The army of Kalvin fights well and defeat the army of Northern Empire but the 3 friends and the complete army of Kalvin die in the fight. There remain 10 soldiers left from the army of Kalvin alive. This shocking victory can be a victory for others but the worst time for Kalvin as his all loyal and honest friends die in front of his own eyes and his complete army though fights well, but, all die except those 10. When they reach Broken Wing, the masters are waiting for them and welcome them all but the sorrow on the face of Kalvin clears all the story in front of them but however, Kalvin controls his emotions and the next day the training starts. As Kalvin knows that they are well trained for fighting so, he in his speech says, "we are going to face an army which is double than us and I know you all are well fighters and you are not brought here to be trained how to fight but you are here to be taught that there is nothing that can stop us from winning when we have courage but if we don't have courage then leave a strong man but a child can defeat us. What is the reason that we can defeat a child so easily but not a man like us? The reason is that our confidence level gets low in front of a man like us but the confidence gets high when we face a child. In the same way, we shiver in front of commanders but fight with full efforts in front of soldiers. Remember! No one can be defeated with a sharp sword, or the best weapons but all can get defeated with the power of courage. Broken wing is a place for you to rest and every day you have to wake up with the thought that you can defeat Northern Empire." Finally, after resting for fifteen days before leaving Broken Wing Kalvin says to all, "Listen my army, their large army will lower your courage but if you are coming with the fear of death then I suggest you not to come. Sit here like cowards and wait for your time to die. Remember, everyone will die no one will remain alive but dying in the war for your kingdom is a death of pride and dying like cowards is a death of shame. I don't need the cowards to join me, I don't need the losers to join me, I don't need the frightens to join me and I don't need the discourage to join me. I need the warriors who don't fear death, whose swords raise for avenge, who have the courage to win, who are determined, who are self-motivated and I need those whose faith is to win and defeat the enemies. If still, somebody wants to go back or has the fear to die, leave us right now. I promise you will not be punished. Is there anyone! Then, let's leave and victory is ours." With these words, they leave the Broken Wing. Complete army is furious and leaves Broken Wing with anger. They are in such anger that they don't have the fear of the army which they are going to face. When they reach a bit ahead Broken Wing's 50 commanders and 200 soldiers join them. And when they reach in front of Northern Empire Kalvin asks the army, "Are you frightened?"

Complete Army: No

Kalvin: Will we win?

Army: Of course.

Kalvin: Are you ready to kill these cruel?

Army: Yes.

Kalvin: Then let's go and shatter them. Victory is ours!

Army: Victory is ours!

Chapter 7 (The War)

Kalvin, with his army enters the boundary of Northern Empire where Galovin is already waiting with his army. The war between both armies start, the attack of Kalvin's army shocks Galovin as they attack with complete energy and enthusiasm and kill all the front line soldiers. And start shouting, victory is ours! Victory is ours! Galovin sends his best archers on the building of the kingdom and orders them to attack but before they attack, the hidden archers of Kalvin attack from back and kill them all.

Kalvin: Now, the army is equal Galovin. Come and fight if you still dare to.

Galovin (laughs): Hahahaha, the game is started my child, put a glance over your back.

When Kalvin sees back there is an army of 500 beside them. Now they are covered by Galovin's army in front and an army of 500 from back. Galovin: What did you think if you have Broken Wing so I don't have such masters? Hahahahaha, you are covered from all sides. Now let's see who will face death angle. Kalvin orders the commanders of Broken Wing to attack the army beside them with their army and Kalvin with the other army attacks Galovin's army in front of them. The commanders of Broken Wing try their best and at last after great struggle kills them all. Kalvin with an army of 1800 attacks Galovin's army which is near 2500. They fight very well and kill their half soldiers. Before they attack the other half, Galovin does suicide and the other half army runs away. They ruin the complete kingdom and change the kingdom into a flat ground. It is the most precious day for all wings as their cruelest enemy got finished. But the main problem was to destroy those four jackets. If those are not destroyed then Galovin with his army would be back and this time he wouldn't leave anyone and any kingdom. Finally, all the armies get back to their kingdoms and all kingdoms get happy and start celebrating the victory but for 2nd wing and for Kalvin it is the worst day as there remained nothing for them. All the kingdom gets surprised to see Kalvin alone back and all start asking but without answering anyone Kalvin walks towards his room and locks himself. He opens the diary and looks the words of the last page. He smiles and quickly gets out of the room, with the siren gathers all the kingdom and says, "you all have questions that where are your sons and my companions. So listen, your sons and my best friends have died in that war which they fought for the defense of this precious land. They have died for saving their loved ones who are safe and are in front of me. Don't be sad for their death rather be proud that our army of 500, our beloved soldiers and my best companions defeated 2000 soldiers of Northern Empire. Be proud that your sons not only saved you but they saved the armies of other empires as well. Their sacrifice wasn't meaningless, their efforts weren't useless and at the time of death they weren't courage less. I am proud of such an army and such companions and you should be proud as well." He leaves the place and goes towards his room after the speech. His father knocks his room and enters. When father sees the sorrow on the face of Kalvin, he puts his hand on the shoulder of Kalvin and says, "Son, what you have done will not be forgotten by coming generations and this sorrow doesn't suit you as you said outside you are proud of them, I want you to be patient and be proud."

Kalvin: I am not wistful for them dad but tomorrow I will have to leave for the journey of the jackets and it is going to be the last journey for me. This precious kingdom has given me all and for it without any hesitation I will sacrifice my life but the kingdom dad, please take care of the kingdom after me. Our kingdom should not be like The Great Wing.

Steve: Don't be worried son but how will I be able to control myself. In front of me, you will die and I can't do anything.

Kalvin: Dad, you will have to take care of yourself, you will have to control your emotions and you will have to take care of all these people.

Steve: Ok son, good night.

Kalvin: Good night dad and dad after me a child gets born named Robin. Make him the king of the kingdom.

Steve gets surprised but says, "Ok son as you say." And leaves his room.

Chapter 8 (Lost Of A Legend) The next morning, Kalvin leaves for the journey to collect the three jackets as he has his own. Before leaving for the journey, Kalvin sits under the tree for one hour and tries a lot to communicate with the tree but gets no response just the reply he gets, "Don't waste your time. You are the hope for peace, don't lose hope, you will die for the people but you will remain alive and serve as the king." Kalvin gets shocked after listening the reply and tries a lot to get what the tree wants to say but gets no hint so, finally he leaves the kingdom to collect the remaining three jackets. As, they were five jackets but the fifth jacket with The Great Kingdom got into pieces as the kingdom got ruined because of the king. So, Kalvin heads towards the first wing and on the journey he faces a group of people and when he inquires them that where they are going so, gets the answer, "We are going towards the 2nd wing for help."

Kalvin: What kind of help?

They answer: We are from The Great Wing and we are suffering since long. We had no hope, our king went on the journey and never came back and those kingdoms whose kings don't return will get invisible. But fortunately, we got the message to go towards the king of the 2nd wing and when the four jackets get destroyed then go towards your kingdom and select a king.

Kalvin: I am the king of the 2nd wing and going for the purpose about which you were told. You should go in the kingdom and wait till I return. Hope that, you will get a good news and your king is alive and he will be your king when you return to your kingdom.

They ask Kalvin, how he knows but Kalvin ignores the questions and tells them to go towards the kingdom. Then, Kalvin heads towards his journey and on the way after some days meets an old man and another person with him. When he asks them where they are going, so, they answer that "we were told that the king of the 2nd wing is going to save our kingdom so we are going to wait in the 2nd wing till the four jackets are buried and we get our kingdom and our kingship back."

Kalvin: Who are you?

The man: I am Lee the king of The Great Wing and he is my father Ronald.

Kalvin: So, you were the man being punished? I am the king of 2nd wing and I am the person who is going to bury the jackets. And he is my father's brother means my uncle. Go towards the kingdom my father will be happy to see you Ronald and I will be back soon. They ask him to travel with him but he disagrees and says he was told to travel alone. He leaves and reaches 1st wing in a few days. There the king congratulates him on his victory, he takes off the jacket and gives it to him. After resting for one day, next day he leaves for his journey and after a few months he reaches 3rd wing there the king also congratulates him and gives him the jacket but the journey gets tough when he reaches the 4th wing.

There also they congratulate him and the king takes him alone with him and tells him, "The collection of the jacket was easy but to take them to the kingdom is very hard."

Kalvin: But who is the obstacle now? Northern Empire is ruined.

Charlee: Stephen. He is the impediment"

Kalvin (amusingly): Stephen? How can it be possible? Stephen was the person who came in my dream and told me to tell father to give the kingdom in the hand of the child who will be named Robin in the kingdom and will get birth after my death.

Charlee: You are right but do you know who Stephen is? He is my father's brother. When Galovin attacked our empire he saved our kingdom The Great Wing. And after that he made five jackets and gave them to father and told him to give them to us and since then he is ruling us.

Kalvin: But what is he getting to do so?

Charlee: Nothing, he has a fear, as our armies together would be stronger if we weren't controlled by these jackets. We could make an undefeatable army and could live peacefully but because of these jackets our soldiers can't be more than 500 or 600. If we tried to make it more we were attacked by Northern Empire and again our army would be less. These jackets which we call precious gifts which saved us are actually our controller and have destroyed us. You will be successful in your mission if you are committed and determined. He will try to divert your attention and take the jackets but be very careful. Hope that you will get success.

Kalvin: What kind of a fear did he have?

Charlee: The fear to be defeated because our armies together could not be defeated and he had the fear that we would ruin his kingdom. But why he had this fear no one knows.

Kalvin: Now the Northern Empire is destroyed then how will he attack me?

Charlee: He has an army of animals and you will face them once. If you successfully defeat them in their purpose then they will not return. Kalvin: It is late and I think I should leave for my journey.

The very day, Kalvin leaves for the journey with the four jackets. He travels a long way and after some months at a night when he is resting under a tree he hears some strange sounds and when wakes up, he is covered by animals which are in a group of hundred. As, wherever he stays he buries the jackets under a tree and the same he did before resting. The animals start searching for the jackets and he starts attacking them when he kills all the animals a man on the lion comes near him.

Kalvin: Who are you?

Stephen: I am Stephen The Magnificent.

Kalvin: You are Stephen? Stephen: Yeah, I am and if you want to save your life then give me the jackets. Kalvin attacks him and finds him very powerful so he hears a sudden voice and the voice tells Stephen that your time is over and you have nothing left. With these words a fight between Stephen and that man starts. The man with his axe kills Stephen and when Kalvin sees him he says, "You are the man who came in my dream but who are you and why you helped me." He replies, "I am Stephen's brother and your grandfather (Kalvin The Great) you were given my name and I am proud of you. You are braver than me my son. Go, the kingdom is waiting for you." Says (Kalvin The Great) and disappears. Kalvin starts his journey and reaches the kingdom after a few days. He takes the four jackets and goes under the tree. All the kingdom and the people of The Great Wing get gathered over there. Kalvin digs a hole and before burying the jackets he says to his kingdom and the people of The Great Wing, "My purpose is completed I was given this life to save you all and make the kingdoms peaceful. Remember, these jackets weren't our strength rather they were our weaknesses. Because of them we could not live peacefully and now you are getting a chance. A chance to get united, a chance to become one, a chance to make an undefeatable army but it depends on your way of thinking. If you think unity is power you will get peaceful but if kingdoms fight with each other then there will never be peace and prosperity. Decision is yours. Good bye all." With these words he buries the jackets and disappears.

Chapter 9 (Rebirth Of The Legend) The day when Kalvin disappears is a day of both sorrow and happiness for all the Kingdom. The day of sorrow because the Kingdom lost such a legend like him who was brave, intelligent and caring and the day of happiness because they were not bounded in just a kingdom they were free to travel and they were in peace. But all know that the sorrow was more than happiness it was really hard to loose such a legend like Kalvin. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After a few days of the incident a boy was born and was named Robin. Steve wanted to see the child and introduced him as the new king of the kingdom. When the boy got 18 years old, he was given the responsibilities of the kingdom. All were happy with the king and all other kingdoms were living peacefully as well. The Great Wing again came in existence and all the kingdoms together made an army which was undefeatable. One day, when Steve got very sick and had very less days left, so, Robin went to see him. He told Robin that he is similar to his son Kalvin who died and was the king before him. So Robin replies, "I am Kalvin and got rebirth as Robin. I am your son dad."

Steve: Kalvin my son! Really it is the happiest day of my life to see you once again.

Kalvin as Robin serves the empire very well and puts all his efforts to make the kingdom prosperous and always cares for the happiness of the people living there.

Words of Author (MehrUllah) The life which is gifted to us may have many difficulties but living with the hope for the better days to come can lead us towards prosperity. Remember, the ending of every tunnel is bright, the starting of every day has light, waiting for good day to come is right and absolutely your patience can become your pride. So, not to lose hope and whatever the problem is, play with the problem but never let the problem play with you, every problem has a solution as everything in the world that is made can get broken so, in the same way every problem that starts will end. In this era of modernization, we can find many suicide cases but before we become one among them why don't we think of those who struggled from dawn to dusk before finally that could proudly introduce themselves. Didn't they face problems? Were their lives prosperous from birth? Were they playing in all these luxuries from their childhood? The answer is no. They faced problems but for them doing suicide or quitting wasn't a solution, they faced every problem with determination of getting success, with courage of getting a better life and their self-motivation didn't let them quit. Why don't we think of them and get encouraged but think of those who did suicide and think of it as a solution for us as well.

Hope, the story could teach you the lesson of struggle and hope from now own before doing an act like suicide people will think what they can do to make their lives better than finishing their lives with their own hands.

Enjoy the four days of life with no tension because no one got anything by being in tension.

Keep the smile on your face and no one can come in your race.

Keep yourself away from suicide case and everything will get alright with Almighty's grace.

Keep the smile leave the tears, think of joy forget the fears.

All you do, all is vain till it is not God's plan.
