18 Part Eighteen

Joseph and Nathan had just arrived at Joseph's house.

Joseph's sister went to her friend's house to have a sleepover while his mother went to visit his Grandparents. Therefore, no one was home and it provided the two lovebirds a perfect opportunity to stay together.

"I'll slice the cake. You can sit on the couch and wait." Joseph took the cake from Nathan's hand and went to the kitchen. Nathan went to sit on the couch and checked his phone. He saw a message sent from Allison a few minutes ago.

Allison : I saw you today.

'Saw me?' Nathan tried to recall where he had gone today.

Nathan : Really? Because I didn't see you.

A few seconds later, Nathan got a reply from Allison.

Allison : I saw you across the street.

Nathan : Oh. That's why I didn't see you.

Allison : And you are with someone else.

Nathan : Yes. I'm with my friend.

Allison : Oh really. Do you hold hands with your boyfriend?

Nathan became speechless and his eyes were widened right after reading the text that Allison just sent. He could not believe that she found out about his relationship with Joseph.

'Gosh... I don't want to deal with this right now...' Nathan sighed.

Seconds later, Allison sent him another message.

Allison : Is it why you didn't reply to me at all after I told you my feelings about you?

Instead of answering Allison's question, Nathan decided to straight up asking her not to say a word to anyone about his relationship, since she had already found out about it.

Nathan : Can you not tell anyone? I want to keep it a secret. Please?

Allison : You could have told me about it so I would not have kept my high hopes. Do you know how much courage I need to confess my feelings to you? Do you know how long I have been waiting for you to reply to me? You really should have told me, Nathan.

Nathan : I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you.

Allison : I don't know what to say now... I can't believe this.

Nathan : I'm really sorry...

Allison did not respond.

Nathan did not know that he hurt Allison that much. Although he felt really sorry, there was nothing he could do about it. Meanwhile, Joseph just finished slicing the cake and walked out of the kitchen towards Nathan.

"What's wrong?" Joseph saw Nathan furrow his eyebrows, looking a bit worried.

"Nothing really." Nathan lied.

"If you need someone to talk to, I'm always here." Joseph tried to cheer him up.

"Let's eat our cake first." Joseph handed Nathan a plate of cake.

"Thanks." Nathan faked a smile.

Joseph could feel that something was wrong with Nathan. But knowing that Nathan did not want to talk about it, he decided to give him some spaces instead of forcing him to say something he did not want to say.

After eating the cake, Joseph put up a movie. Nathan cuddled with him on the couch while watching the movie. With Joseph in his arms, he felt safe and warmth. All of his worries were gone and everything felt fine.

In the middle of the movie, Nathan found out that Joseph fell asleep on his shoulder.

"The one who put up the movie fell asleep." Nathan murmured quietly and turned off the movie. Then, he used his hand to gently adjust Joseph's hair.

Right when he stood up from the couch to get a blanket for Joseph, Joseph woke up and grabbed his hand.

"Don't go!" Joseph said with puppy eyes.

"I'm not going anywhere love. I'm just getting you a blanket."

"Can you stay with me here tonight?" Joseph said with lustful eyes.

"How could I say no to you, beautiful?" Nathan sat back down on the couch and Joseph immediately clung himself to Nathan.

They shared a lovely moment cuddling together before Nathan decided to tell Joseph about his ex girlfriend.

"Actually, there's something I didn't tell you. I want to tell you now because I feel like I should not hide it from you anymore."

"What is it?" Joseph asked.

"I have a ex girlfriend called Allison. And she was in the same university as us." Nathan continued, "Not long ago, she told me that she still had feelings for me. I didn't know how to reply to her so I decided to ignore her."

"What happened then?" Joseph asked.

Nathan took a deep breath before he started to speak, "So she saw that I was with you today... She sent me a text and said that I hurt her feelings..."

"Would you mind if I take a look of your text messages with her?" Joseph asked and Nathan handed him his phone.

"I think she just wants you to reject her sooner. But now that she knows about us, everything is fine now."

"No... The real problem is that my mom likes Allison very much and she doesn't know about us yet. That's what bothering me."

"I understand what you feel. I feel scared when I tell my mom about our relationship too. But something makes me brave enough to finish the 'impossible mission'."

"What is it?"

Joseph leaned in closer to Nathan and murmured, "That's you. You give me energy and make me brave enough to come out to my family."

Nathan never knew that his words would mean that much to Joseph. He felt flattered and a bit astonished at the same time.

"Together we can sort it out. Tomorrow is Christmas day. Let's make it your come out day." Joseph suggested, "You can go back home tomorrow and come out to her while I'll be here waiting for your good news."

"Okay." Nathan nodded and smiled.

"Now that we have decided everything. Let's do something else." Joseph said.

"What thing?" Nathan smirked.

"Something that you really like." Joseph whispered into Nathan's ears seductively before standing up from the couch and headed towards his bedroom.

Nathan had a half-smile on his face and followed Joseph to his bedroom.
