Spinning around, cards flew from her index fingers crashing against the monster's face.

BOOM!

Impact.

The monster's face distorted bending around the explosion causing its perpetual smile to be strewn unnaturally up its cheek.

"Ice make: Lance!"

"Fire Dragons roar!"

Flying back due to the explosion and slightly dazed, Cana quickly regained her bearings as Magic and blades fired overhead the humanoid's filling the gaps created by her earlier attack.

Tilting into a running stance, most attacks missed their mark, Natsu's fire piercing the shoulder causing a slight pit that soon regenerated.

Crack!

Dust kicked up as the creature dashed, arms swinging wildly cutting through the air as its main body began to liquidify causing its 6 eyes to stretch out eerily.

Erza, Mira, Elfman, Gray, and Natsu had already fired off a second wave of magic as they darted across the clearing.

Biding time, Cana began to throw out several ice-blue cards that landed in front of her before lighting with azure arrays.

The creature now almost completely liquid rushed forward at high speeds as ice spikes began to rise abruptly from the ground, scattering its mass.

Unimpeded, it plowed on, crashing roughly against the ice as it began to envelop Cana, tendrils roughly gripping her arms as the pearl in her pocket fell into the goopy mass.

"Cana!" Natsu's voice roared out as the creature reformed, blade set against Cana's neck with the same malicious smile on its slowly forming face, a cerulean light beaming on its forehead where a gentle stone lay embedded causing the creature's white skin to illuminate a slight blue tint.

Across the clearing, two figures, one short worried, and one taller indifferent.

"It will be fine right?" Makarov's slightly unnerved voice came out watching as the creature's blade-like arm clung to Cana's neck as she remained trapped in its now open chest cavity revealing a spiked ribcage.

"I will not cause any actual harm but, an S-class is not all about strength and they must learn what to do in a crisis." Katakuri's apathetic voice came out as he stared on.

Struggling wildly, Cana peeped out of the teeth-like spikes adorning the open chest of the monster.

Helpless, Erza and the others approached warily looking into the growing grin of the creature.

Bubbling skin on its back sprouted two more appendages covered in spikes.

"Fire dragon's ro-" Natsu began to cast only to be harshly knocked on the head by Erza.

"Don't be impulsive, you could hit Cana."

Restless, Natsu watched as spikes began to fire from the creature's back aiming at them.

At a distance, they couldn't do anything except dodge as the creature rained down fire on them however, they dared not to get close as the humanoid held Cana hostage.

"Bastard Monster!" Gray's aggrieved voice came out as he sidestepped an incoming dough spike.

Further back, Mira contemplated as Elfman blocked a few projectiles nearby, one grazing his thigh causing blood to ooze out down his trouser legs.

"Ice make: Wall!" A long strip of ice sprouted out of the ground forming a barrier as thuds sounded out from the never-ending barrage giving a slight respite as the remaining guild members gathered behind it.

"I have a plan" Mira's face lightened up as the group huddled behind the icy barricade.

Shortly after, the thudding sound stopped as the appendages retracted back into the mochi creature's body.

"Evil Explosion!" A soft female voice rang out.

Looking with 6 eyes curiously, Cana still struggling in its chest, a dark purple light began to envelop the ice wall before exploding kicking up a large amount of dust.

Narrowing eyes peered attempting to see through the thick cloud of dust that slowly spread out across the glade.

Bubbling began on the creature's back again as a shadowy figure dashed straight out moving to the side of the monster and causing it to turn

"Take this!"

"Fire Dragon's Brilliant flame!" Igniting both his hands in shimmering golden Natsu brought them together as a fireball ejected out landing 10 meters away from the creature.

"Requip: Black Wing Armor" Erza's voice whispered out, emerging with dust puffing behind her.

BOOM!

A radiant glow flashed causing the monster to recoil slightly, its 6 eyes flashing closed.

"Moon flash." A winged figure streaked past trailing silver as two blades shone in the sun, slashing at the monster's eyes in a cross pattern.

"Ice-Make: Arrow!" Gray's calm voice roared out.

A blue bolt shot out, wind whooshing past as it tore through the air.

CRASH!

The creature's arm and spiked ribs blasted open, fragmenting on the nearby soil as Cana stumbled forward throwing several dazzling cards into the now bubbling mass of the creature's chest.

ROAR!

Bubbling madly, the creature's deformed eyes began to reform, a blue glow growing berserk as arms flailed around crashing against the floor the impact bashing deep potholes into the already damaged earth.

"Go to hell!" Cana screamed a dazzling array blasting out from the creature's now closed chest.

Sssssss

A hissing sound burst through the atmosphere as the creature's white skin began to bubble up violently with golden-white masses spreading erratically, causing the creature to expand vastly in mass.

Ice formed on the surface of the skin in juxtaposing its now fiery image.

Barreling past, Elfman grabbed Cana roughly by the scruff of the neck before tossing her forcefully with a beastly arm.

BOOOOOMMmmmm!

A resounding explosion as ice shattered and glittering flames violently tore through the creature, air cutting through the burning grass and scattering it in the wind.

Elfman's figure emerged in the aftermath next to an expansive crater that flickered with azure.

Still tucked away in the treeline, Makarov let out a sigh of relief as a smile cracked on Katakuri's solemn face.

"Now there's only one more test." He whispered to the relieved old man.

"Did we get it?" Natsu's clueless voice came out as 12 eyes stared at the hollow in the ground.

With a smile, Natsu peered at the pearl sitting in the middle of the empty gulf.

"Cana we did it! Grab the pearl!"

Excitement flushed in his voice before his tone lowered, feeling the fierce gazes of Erza and Mira.

"It was my plan, I should get the pearl." Mira snorted looking warily at Erza.

"I blinded the creature, you only kicked up some dust!" Erza retorted a dim glint flickering in her eyes.

"I blew up the creature!" Surprisingly, Cana's somewhat confident voice came out causing Erza and Mira to look over in surprise.

"I promised I'd help Cana become S-class!" A determined voice from Natsu spoke out as Gray's eyes narrowed toward him.

"I guess there's only one way to settle this..." Erza uttered fiercely surveying the others.

"Ice make: Lance!" Wasting no time, Gray's hands began to flash.

"It's mine! Fire dragon's roar!"

"Requip: Heaven's Wheel Armor."

"Dark Magic: Explosion!"

"Partial takeover: Bear claw!"

"Card magic: Thunderbolt's fate."

Magic flew through the air as the final test officially began.
