1 Darkness(Intro)

Kane was falling. He didn't know how fast, he didn't how long, but he knew he was falling. He felt the wind on his back, the severe the lack of oxygen, the desperation. He slowly opened his eyes to find... nothing. Absolutely nothing. He moved his head up and down, left to right, yet all he saw was darkness. He couldn't understand, he couldn't remember how he got here. He slowly turned around on his stomach and looked down at the deep abyss below him. 'What the fuck?' he thought as he stared at the black canvas below him.

'What the fuck happened' he thought as he tried to remember how he got there. He couldn't. He stared at the black below him for a while, trying to think how he got there, before he felt a sting on his arms. He looked at his arms and saw his skin slowly but surely peeling away. That's when he realized how fast he was falling. He became increasingly distressed. His hear rate increased, his breathing became more anxious and desperate. 'I don't wanna die' he though as his eyes began to tear up. He began to recollect on his life. He remembered his mom and dad, how hard they worked to get him into a private high school. He remembered his girlfriend, and how hard it was to win her over. He thought of all the things he wanted to do, all the places he wanted to visit, how he would never have children of his own. He remembered and cried as his skin began to peel off, exposing the muscle and tissue below.

He began to regret all the things he didn't do. All the friends he let slip away, all the moments and opportunities he gave up on because he was to lazy. Regret took over. He recalled all the times he fucked up, the times he argued with his parent over stupid shit, the countless times he let them down. He regretted so much, but most of all he regretted loosing her.

'I'm sorry' Kane thought as the last piece of muscle fell fell off, revealing the lustrous bone underneath. 'I don't wanna die' Kane though in his head. 'I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die', Kane kept repeating.

As the outer layer of his bones began to wither away a bright light invaded his eyes. A floating orb appeared in the corner of his eyes. He needed to reach that light. He didn't know how he knew, but he knew it was his only hope. He reached out with his withering fingers, attempting to reach the orb. As the last of his body disappeared he reached out and touched the orb.
