478 Choices

Among the letters Alyssia had set aside, there were some invitations to join some organisations.

Among them was a letter which had the symbol of the pirates under Buggy.

She took the letter and ripped it in half showing his complete rejection for the deal being presented. "Bah! He sure has some nerve!

To actually consider us as equals that can work together? He must be joking! I have looked into his dealings thoroughly and there is no way he will be able to sustain himself in the long run. No way am I going to jump into that fiery pit of debt."

It had not been too long since Buggy was given the position as a Warlord and began to set up his own mercenary group.

It was rising in popularity and it was a very similar business type as the one of the services the White Storm provided so there was some slight compatibility between the two allowing them to work together.

The main issue was that the business of the White Storm was steadily raking in profits while the one under Buggy was draining away what funds they had.

It was like he was wasting all the funds he had on banquets and many other things that he could not afford to keep up for a long period of time.

Little was invested back into the business so while it was expanding in the numbers of people working for Buggy, his funds to support them was not growing to accommodate that.

Alyssia was fearful about how someone who was lucky enough to be given such a position and created such a group had such poor sense that they could ruin it within a short period of time.

If she partnered with Buggy then it was likely that there would not be any real benefit for her and there could even become a financial drain gained from the partnership.

There were some letters containing deals for investments and loans being offered to Alyssia and the White Storm in order to give it an extra push for development.

While there were some that were legitimate deals, there did exist some that had hidden traps and clauses within the contracts.

It was like those people who offered them still believed that her successes in business were thanks to luck and were mainly due to others talents and smarts.

Part of it was true since she did leave many things to others to handle but it was not like she had zero involvement.

Alyssia was still collecting skills and learning in areas where she needed to so she would not be so easily fooled by plots of others that aimed to use their smarts to leave hidden clauses that were more difficult to detect in a contract.

Since she had already gained more than enough berries, there was no need to look for any additional support or to take out any funds as a loan.

More letters were torn apart until there was only two letters in front of her which were the biggest deals she needed to consider.

Her answer would affect the future direction of her actions and how she would have to change her way of handling her operations and future plans.

She carefully considered the two paths before her then picked up the one on the left before writing a reply.

Days passed since then after the letter was sent off and the MMA sailed across the New World while Alyssia enjoyed her leisurely breaks in between her research.

A tall wall appeared closer and closer which was all too familiar to Alyssia.

It was the Red Line which she had not made a trip to in quite some time.

Alyssia turned to Val who was busy protecting and sailing the ship. "I am off. If anything happens while I am away then you should know what to do."

She smiled brightly before stepping away, her feet moved with more precision and power allowing her to be carried up into the air.

Her body shot up towards the Red Line with a great amount of speed flying high above the large waves that splashed against the Red Line before arriving on a patch of land which had several ships docked there and a small community living there.

Further into the land was a much larger wall going straight up and some unmoving objects that were connected to the walls and that looked like they could hold several people at once.

Since they were not active, they remained in place and unmoving but if they were turned on then they would be moving up and down the steep wall.

The only other way up was to climb the steep wall using the power of the body but it would be difficult with there being so many people on guard.

The moment that Alyssia arrived on the piece of flat land closer to the bottom, there was immediately some movement as those on stationed there were fast in their response.

A small group of people came forward and were on guard raising their hands to their weapons as if preparing to attack at a moments notice. "Halt intruder! What business do you have here?!"

Alyssia rolled her eyes and took out a small piece of paper with some markings on it. "Is this enough?"

The leader of the group was dressed up smart in black clothes and a large hat, he reached out cautiously and took the paper.

Upon reading it, his back straightened and his gaze became serious. "Please this way honoured guest."

Alyssia sighed as she was lead further towards the wall where it begun to activate the elevator to take her up. 'Hah… these guys obviously wanted to put on some kind of show of force or something. There is no way that they would have been unaware of my visit.'

Once she entered the elevator, she sat patiently ignoring the gazes of those escorting her. 'I finally get to see how those rich Celestial Dragons are living in person.'

There was a lot of excitement towards learning more about the Celestial Dragons and the skills they possessed but there was also a little dread towards what kind of horrors she would have to witness up close and overlook.

As she was seated awaiting the arrival to the top, Alyssia was already busy calming her mind so that she did not do anything out of anger.

Once she felt calm and peaceful, her eyes opened once again and watched the door open allowing her to step upon the top of the Red Line.
