Chapter 2

One could never tell if those group of boys who visited the shop was planning to steal from the people at the shop, but after about two weeks behind, they started reacting negatively.

A large number of people started filing complaints that they were being ambushed and everything was collected from them. It is the worst thing that could happen because rumors started circulating that Peterson was in charge of the boys that were stealing from people.

This is the main reason why the police officers are regrouping to go to the cafe shop.

Finally, their patrol cars started filing in one after the other in the parking lot, two police cars having three police officers in it came out of the car beaming in all his possible.

They were on duty so they wore their uniforms. It was thick blue pair of trousers that arrived on their ankles, and their socks slightly showed below the pants. they all wore black shoes, and above their trousers, they had navy blue shirts, which were short-sleeved and arrived on their arms.

They looked all shades of authority with the eldest being officer Robert. They all tucked in their clothes, and none had the body or size of an athlete. Instead, they all had pot bellies probing out of their shirts, and the buttons that are used to secure their shirts found it difficult to breathe__ so the people of Blackville always provokes them.

Officer Robert had a stern look now, he looked more like a wild beast, and untamed folk, and his dirty brown hair flashed behind as the breeze creased his hair backward.

Slowly, more with reserved calmness, he slowly drifted his head from one angle to the other, staring at the people around him, Robert nodded his head gently indicating that his colleagues should follow him.

They all had talkie-walkies attached to their waist pockets, while some had it on their shoulder blades. With their uneven shapes and heights, six policemen walked their way into Peterson's Cafe Shop with their commander Officer Robert leading the way.

His stout presence made them respect themselves, and could not help but to only follow him behind without a word trespassing between them. They loved the work they did, and even though Robert threatens them a lot, they barely have a word to give because they risk giving their lives away. So bad, things don't always work the way it has too.

Entering the coffee shop, the bell at the door rang indicating that someone had entered the shop. Robert was the first to enter, and as he stood at the front row of the shop, he perused the entire room with his eyes.

He knows that there is something fishy in here, but he did know what that is. The rumors said that the boys who stole from the people could be assed to be from nineteen to twenty-one years old, and their identity is unknown since they mostly wear a mask, helping to cover their faces so that no one can identify them.

They all entered into the shop now, and a moment of silence reigned in the entire room as those who had come there to either relax or have an early morning routine stopped doing whatever they did, to look at the policemen that just entered the shop.

For a moment, they all went silent as they thought of what was going to happen now that the officers had this stern look on their faces.

When Robert didn't see any trace of anything that was suspicious in the shop, he turned around to look at his colleagues while saying to them,

"You all should have a seat at the corner, I will be right back," Officer Robert ordered.

Nodding their heads, Officer Lewis led the way. Lewis is the second in command after Officer Robert, but he lacks power and authority like the way Robert had it. Lewis was that weak and easygoing officer that Robert wrapped around his little finger and manipulated it the way he wanted it. Robert knew that Lewis was vulnerable, so he could manipulate him as much that he wanted, he wouldn't dare do anything to him, and that is the joy he gets of doing such things.

Waiting for his colleagues to settle on the free desk at the release end of the restaurant, he nodded his head in comprehension, approving of their taste in what they just did. It is easy to know where they are, so he walked towards the counter now.

The people present at the Cafe shop still had their eyes on them, and as Robert noticed it, he slowly turned his neck towards the edge of the room, wanting to frighten them, and this had a good effect since they all removed their eyes from him as they did not want him to see them.

People in Blackville knew that staying out of trouble is the best thing that can happen to them now, especially as falling prey in the hands of an officer means war. Nothing but sorrow will come out of it, the records of the officers these days who are led by Officer Rober is the worst badge in the entire history of the town.

They always succeed in causing more harm than good, and their end product is either they send you to prison, or they brutalize you. Everyone knew best to stay away from trouble.

Arriving at the counter, only one lady was standing behind the counter, and she was Daphne. She was employed two months ago and knows every thick and thin of the entire town, and she is good at minding her business too, especially when she is aware of the sharp tongue she is having, it is always advisable that she remains good and bite her tongue hard other than putting herself into trouble.

Staring at Officer Robert approach her, she behaved as if she did not see him, but for courtesy reasons when he was close enough for him to hear, she murmured,

"Good morning officer Roberts," her hard voice was small but audible, indicating that he is not afraid of her
