Chapter 12

At once, after promising all those things to his father, Robert was now happy that he had at least put a smile on his father's face. He was so happy that the smile on his face was portraying. Every one that was around them could see it clearly.

How ever, there was the need for them to continue their journey to Robert's grand mother's house. Once there, Robert's father informed him that they are already there. " Robert with regret and still worried about the fact that his father was about to leave him alone to start living with his grand mother, was so disappointed and did not want to Lea his father but he had no choice but to do that.

" Are you ready son? " Robert's father asked with a very low tune as his voice was only heard just between the both of them, no one else. Robert's father said as he was putting on a very clear and broad smile on his face that was very portraying. It could be seen by any one that could be found present there at that time.

" Yes, father . " Robert replied his father not still being very certain about what he was doing but there was the need for him to do it. Robert at that particular time he did not have any choice. He needed to do so many things in order to make his father very proud of him. Robert's memory was still very fresh as he could remember every single thing that has been going on through out that period as well as all the thoughts were going through his head from one corner to another with out stopping.

He said as he was now looking at his father facing upward looking at his father directly into his eyes that are from eye ball to eye ball. As tears were now gathering in his eyes as well as the tears from his eyes were all about to rain on him. His father seeing that his son Robert was about to cry, felt very sad as he was feeling pity for him.

He wanted to make sure that he makes he was doing the right thing for his son and himself. To him, there was no doubt that he was doing the right thing because every thing that he was doing was for their own good. Seeing his son in that state was not a good thing as it pains him so much to see his son being hurt because of him and his decisions.

But at the same time, he was so happy that Robert being a strong young boy as he was at that time could understand why he was doing that and that he was not going to allow him there permanently. He was going to come back for him after a little while when he had tried to gather some money that could be enough to take care of both of them.

That was a very big and solid promise that his father had given to him and he trusted his father that his father will do what he had promised to him because he has always kept to his promise even considering the fact that he did not have much money on him he still tried so hard to take care of Robert and himself as well as keeping to all the promises that he had always promised Robert.

Looking at the state in which his son was finding himself, he could not allow his son to enter in to his grand mother's house in that state. He was crying so hard that tears were dropping down from his cheek like heavy rain.

Robert's father seeing this could not allow his son to continue crying like that as he bent down and faced the direction of his son looking at him right into his eyes. He was looking at him right into his eyes so that he could be able to convince him as well as be able to wipe out the tears from his eyes so that they won't be able to be visible the moment when he finally gets into grand mother's house in order to start living there with her.

As he started wiping the tears out of his eyes endlessly so that no drop of the tears that he had just shaded to be showing on his face or any where. Once done, he now decided to remind him of the promises that he had made to him before they had come to his grand mother's house.

" Robert, please I want you to stop crying. Can you stop crying ? Please ? " He said to Robert looking at him right deep into the eyes trying to make him understand that he was just a young boy like every other boy and even though not all children really get to suffer out there simply because they are from very rich homes, at least they are supposed to be so many little children out there right now they are suffering be it because their parents are dead or are it because their parents are very poor and can not provide them every thing they need just like Robert's father is right now. Not because he wants it but because life has made him be so. Life has been so unfair to him that he has finally decided to accept the way life has decided to show up to him.

Robert's father in his present situation was just so annoyed with him self every single second that passed by as well as he was so upset that he could not provide every thing that his son needed at once to him with out any complications.

As well as he had always wanted to die because of the numerous suffering that he was undergoing every single day. The kind of suffering that he was undergoing was just inexplicable as no one could understand the kind of problems that he was going through at that moment except him. Only he alone knew the kind of problems that he was facing.

But any way, no matter how many times he had decided to end his life for all reasons the reasons on earth that had been making him to suffer, he had always had a single reason that will always make him to change his mind and not to kill him self. And that particular reason is his son Robert.

Robert at that particular point in time meant every thing to him as just for him to think about him while committing suicide was a very huge weapon to demoralize him and make him change his mind at once.

Just the thought that if he dies now he does not know what his son will become. As well as the kind of suffering that his son will now start to undergo due to his absence. He will not be able to survive with all the hard life that he will be facing.

If only living with his father, Robert is still suffering so much to a fault, what if his father was dead? What will be the suffering at that time? The suffering at that point in time will be ten times more than the one that he was undergoing at that particular time.

So Robert's father after having thought about this for a very long period of time could no longer carry out such an action that could penalize his son for the rest of his life. At that particular moment, he decided to remain with his son and undergo all the difficult moments with him. As well as to pass through all the hard moments with him with out any of them allowing each other.

He had already made up his mind that he will be there for his son always. So he had to do what he had always said by keeping to all his promises. Every thing that he had said was very nice and important to him as well as also very important to his son.

He was already thinking big. That was a very good thing because doing that, I motivated him in order to work so hard so that he will be able to Any way, Robert's father had already put in his mind that he had to be strong as well as he had to be very firm and courageous to over come all what was happening to him at that moment.

He believed in the saying that ' The night never last forever ' as this saying was very true in all its sense.

From this saying, one could quickly derive several interpretations. As to Robert's father, he strongly believed that all the problems that he was facing at that moment will not last for long as well as he continued and persistently believing that all the hard times he is passing and going through right now are short lift. They can not last for long because they are all temporary issues.

How ever, he was right as his ideology and way of thinking were very correct. " Father, what is wrong? Asked Robert with a very tensed and frightened look after discovering that his father was shouting endlessly. Robert shivering from where he was standing due to the fact that his father had shouted unexpectedly, started crying.

" Father, you are hurt. " Robert said with so much fright in his look as he had just noticed that his father had just cut his hand while trying to find out what really cut his palm. Before he noticed that it was the door of the car that he was trying to arrange that had made him cut his hand with out knowing.

It's only when he had cut his hand that he started feeling the pains could no more hold it as he started shouting endlessly.

The pains that he was feeling could not be explained as the wound was too deep. How ever, there was the need for him to be strong. He had the feeling that may be when he arrives at his mother's house, she can have some things that can help cool down the Pains that he was feeling at that moment.

" Robert, I just had a little wound on my hand. But it is ok. It is not a big deal ok? " His father said as he was trying to hide what was going on with his son. He did not want him to be as hurt as he was at that moment. He was trying all ways to make sure that he does not reveal the fact that he was feeling pain.

How ever, there was the need for him to forget about the pains he was feeling and do fast so that they could both go and See Robert's grand mother and hand him over to her.

He struggled to try to fix the door of the car until he finally succeed in arranging it. It was not that easy for him to fix it but at last, he finally succeeded.

" Robert, it's time to go to your grand mother's house. We have stayed here enough. Hurry up let us start going. Carry the school bag that is down there and I will carry the rest. " Robert's father said with a loud voice as he was hurrying.

He was in haste because they did not respect time as they are very late due to the time they all had an appointment with Robert's grand mother.

" Ok father ", Robert answered his father with a very low voice as he was trying to pick up his school bag. Robert walking along side his father heading towards the direction of his grand mother's house.

Looking at his father closely as he was feeling so bad and remorseful for his father's condition. Still looking at his father, he was feeling so sorry for him as he could not do any thing to help him. He was too small at that time. He could barely even do any thing. He felt pity for his father as he was seeing him every day as he was undergoing all kinds of suffering with out stopping. He was indeed a strong man.

Robert loved his father so much. He was praying every day that passed that he wanted that God should make him grow up very fast so that he could be able to take care of his father just the way he was taking care of him and even more.

He always had the dream of being a very big and respected person in society. He was willing to sacrifice every thing for his father if it had to.

As they were still going to his grand mother's house, he could not stop looking at his father struggling to carry all the things he was carrying at that time. They were all indeed very heavy but he had no choice but to carry them with out complaining. He was indeed a very strong man.

" Father, father, father... " said Robert with a very low voice as he was looking straight up to his father waiting for him to turn his head facing downward. He was looking at his father as he was sweating endlessly due to the weight that he was carrying at that moment.

" Yes Robert.... " said his father with so much concern as usual as he wanted to know the reason why his son was calling for him. He wanted to know by all means why he was so tensed and why he was insisting on calling him so many times as he just did.

He wanted to know the main reason why he was calling him so hard like that. " What is the problem, Robert? Why are you calling for me that much? Is there any thing wrong? " Robert's father started asking his son with so much worry as he really wanted to know why he was calling for him persistently as he was even holding him by the trouser and shaking him up so that he could at least turn and look at him.

" Robert, can you talk to me? What is the problem with you? What do you want to tell me? Robert's father asked his son as he finally stopped walking and turned towards the direction where his son was standing and kept some of the things he was carrying down.

Immediately, after putting down most of the things he was carrying on his body which belongs to Robert, he now bent down directly in front of Robert as he started looking at him directly into the eyes.

" Ok Robert, Tell me what the problem is. I am listening. What is wrong? What do you want to tell me that is so important and urgent right now? " Robert's father asked with a very low voice as he was trying to convince his son on telling him what was going on. He wanted that he should tell him every thing about what was going on in his head . He did not want that he should keep any thing out.

" Ok father, I will tell you," said Robert with a very low tone as he did not want any other person to listen to their discussion. As his father was looking at him very closely, he was seeing a lot of concern in his father's eyes as he could see it clearly. From his father's countenance, he could see a lot of things on it.

Suffering, pains, concern, unhappiness, hope, and so many other things.

Any time Robert was thinking about that particular scene that his father was looking at him, tears will always run out from his eyes. He could not hold it any more any time that he was seeing his father in pain. It hurts him any time he sees his father suffering for him more than the way it hurts his father.

" Ok Robert . Tell me am listening. " His father said with so much concern for his son. He was ready to make things right for his son. He did not know why he was calling for him but he wanted to know by all cause as he was now quiet listening to what his son will say.

" Father, It is a very important thing to me," said Robert with his tiny voice as very little as he was. As he said with so much confidence in him. He was so courageous and bold just like his father. He took all those qualities from his father as he was just so amazing and fun to be with.

" Yes, Robert. I am still waiting to hear what you have to say," said Robert's father with so much concern as he was so impatient to hear what he had to say as well he could not wait to finally listen to what his son had in mind at that time. He has always known his son to be a very intelligent young boy. Both academically and socially. He has always been at the top of his class and he always reasons just like a very big and mature person. The kind of ideas that he had always had were just so stunning as well as his father had given him all the good morals that he needed In order to succeed in life. Though it did not work on his own part. He believed that since it did not work for him, it will work for his son and not only partially but fully.

As he continued insisting on his son to say what he had in mind because they were both running out late for their appointment with Robert's grand mother.
