Chapter 3

It was nighttime when I reached the village and to see that there were no one outside when I looked around, this must be due to the rumors going around the village about the demons. I continue walking through the village when I heard screaming coming from my left before making a dash toward the location by jump over the houses to get there faster. Once I reached, I saw a demon holding a little girl who was screaming for help and in front of it were the child parents on ground injured but is still trying to get their child back. I dash toward the demon kicking it in the face letting it fly to the sidewalls and then proceed to take the girl back to her parents who quickly hug her protectively, both the girl and her parents turns to look at me in confusion and was about to ask me some question but stop when they all heard the scream of the demon that was coming to them in anger.

"It's going to be alright now. Please just stay behind me." I kindly assured them and patting the girl head while smiling as I turn to confront the demon.

"H-h-how Dare YoU Interrupted me and took the girl away from me!!!" the demon continues to scream at me while I am gauging it with my ability to roughly know the number of people it has eaten and the demon in front of me had eat quite a number of people.

"The people you had eaten were all of them children?" I asked the demon.

"Yes! Children are the tastiest the younger the better and babies are the bes- "

"Enough. Please shut up and just die…" I interrupted the demon as I can feel my anger rising while listening to talking it as veins were appearing on my face and hands.

The demon when it heard that ran to me in anger with her nails extend turning into a blade ready to slash me but to me all of this was happening slowly. I calmly took my stance and start breathing in.

"Total Concentration Breathing. Breath of thunder. First Form. Thunderclap and Flash." I dash forward to the demon and decapitate its head.

I turn back to the girl and her parents to ask if they were alright. Both her parents were alright only some cuts on them that they received while trying to protect their child, I help bringing them to the nearest doctor before I go on my next mission. Just as I finish taking them to the doctor and saying our goodbyes then right on time my crow came and announced my next mission.

Three months had past, the number of demons that I had successfully killed was 45 and soon I might be eligible to join the Hashira as the requirement was to kill at least 50 demons, from what I know is that currently there is only Three Hashira in the corps which are Stone, Sound and Flame Hashira and I have yet to meet all of them.

Right now I am on my way to my next mission where a number of demon slayers had gone missing, the mission is to find any surviving slayers and kill the demon responsible. The location of the last sighting was in a cave right in front of me. Before I enter the cave, I tried to sense for presence but did not felt anything once I enter the cave, I can feel that I was being watch but could not sense anything. I continue to go deeper into the cave and soon I reached the end of cave to see a mountain of corpse including the demon slayers that was sent.

Suddenly I felt a presence above me that was coming straight at me, I immediately jump backward but was still hit on the left side of my arm that is bleeding right now. When I landed safely while holding my bleeding arm, I look to the demon in front of me, a huge demon that has big arms that is bigger than me, but the size was not the reason that is causing me to be on high alert. It was the engrave on one of its eye that said Rank 3 letting me know that this demon is part of the Twelve Kizuki.

"Hihihihi! A human girl! A Demon Slayer Too! Let's Play!" The demon dash towards with incredible speed almost close to mine despite its large size. I was able to react quickly this time as I saw it coming and continue to strike it finish dodging.

"Total Concentration Breathing. Breath of thunder. Third Form. Thunder Swarm"

I unleashed powerful multiple purple electrified slashes simultaneously around the demon but later learn that I could not fully cut its arms due to the hardness and thickness of it body. The demon stretches its arms forward to grab me; I step on one of its arms using it to jump upward but I did not stop there as I used the wall above to push myself downward to the demon.

"Total Concentration Breathing. Breath of thunder. First Form. Thunderclap and Flash"

Just as I was about to cut its necks, the demon when into the ground dodging my strike causing me to be confused mid-air as I did not just lost sight of it but also its presence. Soon enough the demon came out of the ground right under me which caught off guard and strike me on my upper body send me flying to the side of the cave. That attack had cause a few of my ribs to break causing me to have a hard time getting up while leaning on the wall behind me for support. I scanned around the cave to see demon was gone including its presence but sense it again this time it emerged from the wall right behind putting its arm around my neck.

"Hihihihi! How was it my Blood Demon Art Body Assimilation that allows me to assimilate with material I come to contact with. Hihihihi!"

"I see that's why I could not felt your presence, when you assimilate with the ground even your presence changes to the material you assimilate."

"Hihihihi! That is right! Hihih-Argghh!" I stab my sword right into the demon eye causing it to release me and then putting all my strength on legs jumping away.

"Such a cowardly Blood Demon Art that is only used to run and hide." The demon heard this roar in anger emerged from the wall of the cave and dash toward me.

When I saw this, I did not panic and stayed calm as I was expecting this and already in my stance to use my strongest technique that I have created during my training with grandfather. This technique grants me a near-invincible advantage when in close range.

"Total Concentration Breathing. Breath of thunder. Seventh Form."

As soon as the demon enter the range of my technique no matter how fast it is once I sense it enter the range, I unleash a slash that moves at an immense speed surpassing the speed of sound as well as releasing both the huge amount of generated electricity and heat in the sword. Both cutting the demon neck and burning it alive.

"Raikiri."

The demon did not even know that its neck was cut or even hard the time to scream but only felt the burning sensation before it turn to ashes as it all happened in an instant.

I turned to look at the demon to see there was nothing left of it. Once I see the demon was no more, I started to cough out blood as using the seventh Form put a heavy strain on my injured body and I proceed to fell forward to the ground losing consciousness but not before sensing a group of people coming toward me and see these people were wearing the corps uniform with their faces covered. When I saw those uniform, I know that these people are part of the corps and proceed to let the darkness took over me.

In the Demon Slayer Headquarter a person can be seen listening to the report received to him by the crow that was sitting near him.

"I See."

"Touka was able to defeat a Twelve Kuzuki alone. That's great."

"It seems like we have a new addition to the Hashiras. What do you think?" he asked as he knew that the Hashira was sitting behind him.

"Uzui."

"Yes. Just a few months of joining and already defeating a Twelve Kizuki. Now that's flamboyant." Uzui responded brightly to the man in-front of him.

"Gyomei."

"I agree with you Oyakata-sama. Young she may be her skill could already be on the level of Hashira." Gyomei said while putting his hand together and tears coming out of his eyes.

"It seems we have a bunch excellent children this time. I can't wait to meet them." The man now known as Oyakata-sama said with gentle smile on his face.
