Drip...drip...drip.

A small, metallic ball rolled quickly through a clear tube, which was suspended from some rafters in a hallway that continued into a little brick room.

The clear tube made a sharp 90 degree turn downwards, as the ball neared the brick wall at the back of the room, it then plunked down and out of the tube onto a spiraling course made from the type of plastic racetrack pieces children would use for their toy cars. The track pieces made several turns and horizontal loops as they descended.

Haphazardly stacked books held up the course pieces that the ball was currently rolling down on, acting as its support pillars. The makeshift ball-racetrack stretched across a long white desk that was cluttered up with multiple items.

It was covered with an assortment of random stuff, from tv's to toasters, more books and left over snacks strewn about. The desk had been pressed against the brick wall. On the other side of the room was a small, equally messy bed that was likewise, pressed up again the other wall.

The ball finished 4 or so final loops around the stacked books and rolled out onto the desk, bumping into a power inverter device.

The power inverter looked like a plastic cube and when it was touched it lit the whole plastic cube up a yellow color, indicating it was now in the 'on' position, which caused a toaster and coffee pot, which were both plugged into it, also on the desk, to simultaneously activate!

The man that had been geeking out at the Pandora's Box enclosure earlier was sitting at a chair in front of the desk where the coffee was starting to brew and drip into the pot. His head was lowered and tilted to the side slightly, as if he had fallen asleep sitting upright, which was the case.

He had been given the job without much trouble and was now a prestigious materials researcher for Touto; a name tag sat in his half closed hand. It read "Sento Kiryu".

Sento had been issued a badge 5 minutes after being hired, indicating the decision had been made long before he was even interviewed after his initial, perfect test!

His head twitched slightly as he napped and it almost seemed as if the noise of the prearranged breakfast starting would rouse him but the toaster and coffee machine had not managed to fully waken him.

As Sento dozed off again, he dreamt that he was laying inside a clear, rectangular vat mostly filled with a green, slimy liquid and green gas. Asides from the oxygen mask he had on he was naked and could not move! Shackles held his wrists and ankles in place...the best he could do was wiggle and look around!

Many scientists moved about the cloudy room, creepy type of mist drifted about, as if they were inside a lab in a sewer.

These scientists were wearing hazmat type suits to protect themselves and making all kinds of observations, then either discussing them with their peers or keeping their thoughts to themselves, while others were jotting down the numbers their hand held devices were registering on the data and parameter side of things. They waved all kinds of devices at him and jabbed him with many sharp needles.

Some of the needles were meant to deliver injections into him and some were to draw blood as samples.

The next thing that the helpless subject glimpsed was a man wearing a gleaming black helmet and armor, it covered him from head to toe.

Black helmet and armor man had an impossibly strong aura around him. The tyrannical man sat on a large chair with his armored legs crossed, overseeing all the experimentations that were being performed on Sento while a large hand cannon was casually played with as he viewed the scene below him with interest.

Sinister vibes were given off from the armored man, just from him sitting there! The man's helmet was angular with a horn in the forehead, his visor resembled a Golden Bat with it's wings out-stretched. He sat there in his chair watching the scientists take notes and chuckled to himself, making it obvious that he was making eye contact under the mask with the test subject as he laughed and plotted who-knows-what to do with him!

Sento struggled in the rectangular vat and could no longer see the armored man clearly, as the green mist and humidity swirled past and clouded his eyes. The more he struggled the weaker he became, he had no idea where he was or who these people were! Especially the mysterious, intimidating man in the armor who kept laughing at him. The feeling of dread and helplessness kept growing until...

Chuock!

Pop!

The toaster, finishing up with the bread. transported the young man back into the land of the awake.

"OH!" Sento gasped as he woke up from his nightmare.

He shook his head slightly, glad it was just a bad dream. He sniffed the air and was about to reach for the delicious smelling bread when his eyes caught his reflection.

A mirror sat on the desk off to the left from where he was sitting and what he looked at shocked him! He touched his left cheek slightly before he realized what happened. There was marker all over his face and he knew exactly who did it!

His lips had been given an outline and there was nice curly lines making circles on his cheeks.

Another thick black line had been drawn all the way from the tip of his nose to the start of his hairline. He brushed his hair back from his forehead; there was a also streak of black linking his eyebrow, creating not only a unibrow, but a cross as well when the two lines were looked at as one!

"This sucks!"

He rolled his eyes, complaining out loud about his face being vandalized while grabbing a piece of the popped toast. Sento hoped off of the seat he had been sleeping in. Sento started to walk down the hallway that the tube was hanging from.

It opened up into another room, this one however, was not nearly as small as the one he had just been snoozing in. There were yellow girders and white scaffolding with lights hanging from them, computers and lab equipment were plentiful. A large white device sat at the center of the room, while a huge green chalkboard decorated the wall to Sento's right.

After taking a quick look around the room, Sento started walking towards the chalkboard. It was full of equations and a look of excitement was starting to grown on his decorated face, making him look hilarious.

Ding!

Before he could reach the board, the white machine rang out and a light indicated that it had finished whatever it was doing.

Sento's eyes gleamed and he changed course towards the device immediately!

There was a small handle on a hinged door, located on the face of the white machine. A light was glowing behind it and when Sento opened it, steam and smoke billowed out as if something had just finished cooking!

The smile on his face grew even larger as he grabbed a black and white bottle out of the device, it looked very similar to the one that the 'Kamen Rider' had used!

"This is awesome!" Sento admired the bottle while he scratched his head really fast, as he did, a little bit of his hair stood on end, he was truly excited!

Before Sento could examine the new bottle any further, a much larger door on the left of the machine revealed itself and slid open, revealing a glowing green chamber as it did so. A cute girl with short hair and straight bangs stepped out past Sento without even looking at him, while sighing and yawning. She was wearing a long white and blue striped dress, sandals and had a bow in her hair that added to her cuteness.

"Good work!"

Sento called out to her back as he chased behind with the bottle raised in his hand.

"What is this? Porcupine?" The massive grin he had, combined with the black marker around his lips made him look like an eager clown.

"I don't know, and I don't care." The girl leaned against some of the white scaffolding and yawned, her eyes were half closed as she rubbed her cheek against the metal she was pressed against. "I'm tired."

Sento was holding the bottle up in the air with both hands now, spinning around like he was a kid with a new toy.

"I wanna get paid..." The girl complained some more and then closed her eyes all the way.

A few moments later she opened them again and repeated herself.

"I'm tired..." yawn.

Sento had moved on from her and was near the chalkboard again, talking to himself as he stared at the bottle. "What skills will this give me?" he wondered aloud. "I can't wait to see!"

"But..." He headed back towards the white machine in that had produced the bottle and the woman.

"I can't get over how awesome this thing is! My best invention ever!"

Sento rubbed the body of his invention lovingly. "The particles from those monsters..."

"...Turns into powerups I can use as Kamen Rider Build!"

He thought back to the several of the Smashes he had turned into particles using this invention of his! Just like the one he had fought that was all spiky recently...then he thought about the reporter he had saved from that Smash.

Sento smiled again as he flicked the black and white bottle into the air and caught it, then pocketed the thing.

"Of course, Misora's skills are important too..." After he brought back the bottles originally, he put them into the small receptacle of his machine and then let her then work her magic from the operators space inside of the machine, that is how the powers of the particles are refined. "But I think my genius of invention is totally unappreciated..."

He had been looking for a counter compliment from the sleepy and grumpy sounding Misora.

When there was no response he turned around. Not seeing her leaning in the room anymore, Sento started walking towards the smaller room. After going a few paces, he could now see her feet sticking out horizontally.. She was laying on the tiny bed, sprawled out, sandals off.

Misora had fallen asleep as soon as she hit the bed, and if Sento had any doubts a moment before that she was asleep they would have swiftly disappeared because Misora started snoring like a bear during hibernation!

She looked very peaceful indeed.

Sento looked down on her, held up a black felt marker and smiled widely.

"Got you."

A small bit of time passed and Sento, now freshly cleaned up and showered with no marker on his face, climbed the set of circular stairs in the corner of the room while eating another fresh piece of toast. He looked back towards the sleeping Misora while heading up and grinned.

Outside of the same building that Sento and Misora were in, a handsome, middle age man re-tied the straps on the green apron he was wearing, pushed the little circle glasses he had on higher up his nose and finally, adjusted the straw hat perched on his head before going back to sweeping around the entrance of the building.

From the outside it was easy to see that it was a little coffee shop.

The most obvious sign that the place was a coffee house was...a large sign. The name of the place, Caffé Nascita, was accompanied by a couple warm beverage names, like latte, espresso, cappuccino etc. on the sign out front. It was a charming hand made sign, lots of love had gone into making it stand out.

Cute little tables were out front to sit at as well, four matching little seats orbited each table, those seats were now being straightened and tucked away under their assigned tables neatly by the man in the apron. He finished his work, stood back and smiled, admiring his little café.

The man in the apron went by the name of Soichi Isurugi and Caffé Nascita was his place. After straightening up after his last customers he headed inside and took care of the dishes created by them.

While putting the last dish away, Soichi looked over and noticed the mini fridge in the corner of the room behind the bar was opening from the inside!

Enjoy!
