Illusory Demon Realm.

The Illusory Demon Realm is one of the three continents of the Blue Polar Star. It has a population of roughly seventy billion. A large percentage of its population consists of demons. And it is currently being ruled by the Demon Emperor Family.

It has twelve large families that protect the Demon Emperor Family. Alongside several Duke Palaces from when the Demon Emperor has a child, not from the Demon Empress. Although they have a relatively high status, they are not allowed to vie for the position of Demon Emperor.

The Illusory Demon Royal Family's ancestor received the Golden Crow's legacy, making him unbeatable, which made all the clans decide to make him the first Emperor of the Illusory Demon Realm.

Now for Why the Demon Empress wasn't allowed to ascend to the throne. Even though politics is clearly involved, Golden Crow's legacy is the reason behind that. Demon Emperor possesses Golden Crow's Heritage and naturally passes it through to his descendants, enabling them to use the actual power of the Golden Crow over the many generations. Yet the bloodline has thinned, only allowing them to use slightly superior flames.

The current ruler of the Illusory Demon Realm is Huan Caiyi, also known as Little Demon Empress or Demon Empress. Her natural strength is formidable, but without the Demon Emperor's Seal, she couldn't get into Golden Crow's Holy Land to get Golden Crow's inheritance.

When Huan Ciayi was 20, she took over the reign of Illusory Demon Realm after the Little Demon Emperor's death in the Profound Sky Continent against the Four Holy Lands. Yun Canghai stared at the vast land with a nostalgic look on his wrinkled face. After so many years of torture, he finally returned to his birthplace. 'Illusory Demon Realm,' His eyes become teary for a moment.

"Grandpa!" Luna grabbed Yun Canghai's hand. "Everything will be okay~!"

"Yeah." He reacted with a small smile while patting her on the head gently. Knowing his Yun Family could reconcile with each other again.

"Hmm, what's that?" Hayate saw a weird-looking flower, which suddenly opened and revealed a half-naked woman with a leaf covering her chest.

Yun Canghai shook his head amusingly and said, "That's Demon Spirit. Illusory Demon Realm is a continent filled with Demon, Humans, Beast, and Fairies. You'll find more of them later when we reach the city. Though Pure Humans are rare now."

"Why so?" Hayate tilted his head, staring at Yun Canghai curiously.

Cough!

"W-Well, *Ehem!* Let's say that we married each other." Yun Canghai cleared his throat because he didn't want to reply weirdly in front of his cute granddaughter. Unknown to him, Luna is not pure at all.

Hayate caught what Yun Canghai meant and smiled because the attraction between races was inevitable when your place was at peace. He had a follower, a particular dwarf who loved a mermaid girl so much.

"Someone is thinking about me?" Gernis sneezed while rubbing his nose. A smile suddenly appeared on his beardy face. "Hehe, I hope that person was molly~."

Back to Hayate, they flew in the sky and reached the nearest city. Profound Demon City is famous for its professions of crafting unique Profound Formations and Blacksmithing. It is also one of the weapons suppliers for the higher rank family.

They entered the city, and Hayate's golden eyes shone at the marvelous scenery. The Profound Demon City is enormous, filled with many mixed races. If we count the surrounding region and the city itself, this place has a population of fifty-three million, that's more than some big cities in the western county in Hayate's previous life.

It's even better knowing that two hundred and twenty-seven races live happily and peacefully here, such a warming sight for Hayate once in a while. He had seen too much corruption within the Profound Sky Continent.

"Beautiful," Hayate commented, which got a chuckle from Yun Canghai.

The old demon gave a proud look and said, "This is just one of the middle-sized cities in the Illusory Demon Realm. Wait until you see the Demon Imperial City where my Yun Family resided, and you'll see how grander it is compared to this city."

'He's more excited than I thought.' Hayate glanced at the middle-aged man beside him.

Even though the recovery had gone well for Yun Canghai, there is still some black circle under those wise eyes. He must be frustrated to death for not being able to see his family for more than one hundred years. Without Luna's existence that eases his feeling, Yun Canghai might break down already.

That little prankster understood that someone's destiny and fate are easily changed. She also knew her action against the Primal Chaos' would never be justified, but it didn't matter because she gave the old demon a better path. Her act didn't only benefit Yun Canghai but her beloved master too.

"Let's meet in half an hour at this place," Yun Canghai stared at Hayate and Luna. "I want to meet some old friends and tell them that I was alive."

Hayate nodded naturally and dragged Luna with him into the city center. As they wore hooded-robe, no one paid attention to them, though some demon sniffed a potent beast's scent from Hayate. They are curious about him but back down immediately because such a powerful scent must come from a strong person.

Luna wandered around the street vendors and stared at some stuff with her eyes. There was nothing that caught her attention for some reason. A sigh of disappointment escaped her little mouth.

"No fun." She commented, which caused a horned demon's mouth to twitch in disbelief.

"Little girl, you have been eyeing my stall for quite a while. Why don't you buy something? I have rare items from outside of the Illusory Demon realm." The horned demon whispered while covering his mouth with his hand.

"Oh?" Luna's eyes shone in amusement.

"Show it to me then?"

The horned demon smirked inside and pulled a ring with a weird engraved pattern. "I found this in an ancient ruin several months ago. It has the unique ability to hide your presence from the Sky Profound Realm cultivator." He showed the good to Luna, who clearly isn't impressed.

A playful grin plastered on Luna's face as she picked the ring with her little hand. "Hmm, you said Ancient Ruin... You picked this from the graveyard, no?" She commented casually.

The horned demon was shocked, feeling a shiver in his spine because no one should know his secret.

Luna approached the horned demon's face and added, "Your next line is "how did you know?" About my secret~! Too bad, Mr. grave robber, I know your next move."

"S-Screw you!" The horned demon picked up his goods and ran away from the street, leaving some people speechless. How could a little girl make that guy afraid?

'Easy~!" Luna flicked her finger casually and made the ring rotate in the air.

Hayate shook his head and said, "Poor guy, you scammed him for a spatial ring. From the first glance, you clearly need blood to open that ring."

"Well, no one can blame him. You can't mess with random people before gauging their danger." He added while feeling someone bump into him.

Luna noticed Hayate's amused expression and used her ability to see the future. "Heh, interesting~." She said while grasping a young man's location in the crowd.

"What a cute attempt to pickpocket my master."

On an alley, far away from the city center. A young shadow demon sighed in relief and leaned on a wall. He was looking down and opened his palm, finding a spatial ring.

"Hehe, jackpot." He tried to check the content inside and was surprised when seeing such a large amount of food. There are tons of grains, meat, and even water. More than the organization has given to him in the past four years.

The young demon's mouth was wide open and added, "Woah, I can feed the whole village for years with this."

"What a nice intention comes from a little thief." Hayate stood in front of the young demon. His presence is so thin because of the Great Art of Stealth that the boy couldn't even realize he was there.

The young demon could see Hayate now as he spoke some words.

"H-How long have you been here, esteemed Master." He tried to please Hayate with flowery words. "It seems that I've found your spatial ring by accident."

He shamelessly tried to get out of this situation.

"Don't even bother to sugarcoat your actions. Just give me back my spatial ring." Hayate stretched his hand over the young demon. "Don't choose a target with blatant intention next time."

"I-I'll take your words in mind." The young demon handed the spatial ring back and bowed his head.

Hayate stared at the young demon and continued, "Go away before I change my mind."

The young demon ran away quickly through some small alleys and caused Hayate's lips to curve slightly.

Luna walked into the alley and asked, "That young demon has an interesting background. Are we going to follow him, master?"

"No, let's return to the south gate," Hayate replied calmly. "Your Grandpa must be waiting for us."
